This is my absolute favorite knot! Teach it to your kids & husband ASAP! That allows mom MUCH more fishing time! Always remember to wet it before cinch, it really is important.
I was fishing with my cheap lure and I really didn't want to use my $10 lure. While I was fishing with my cheap lure I was watching your video and quickly reeled in and start to get my $10 lure and tied it on just like how you did.The lure wasn't even close to falling off the fishing line. This tutorial was super helpful.
Thank you for posting this! My sister asked me to untangle and mend the broken string of her kite... I used the "Clench Knot" from this video to reattach the clip on the end of the string. The video was easy to fallow, and I know my sister will be very happy to have her kite fixed. So again, thank you so much for posting this vid! :-)
Thank you so much this was very informative, I totally forgot to loop back through after the 4 twist. Next up to finally learn to fish shallow water. Fished deep sea with my dad but never stream fishing! Thanks again.
clear floating bubbles, we used them with baits that are used on or near the surface...great for trout...or anything where you use swimming bread. brings back great memories....
Not sure if you'll read my comment or not, but I'm just getting into fishing this year and haven't gone since I was young, never taught how to rig up a fishing rod before this video so I thank you for that haha. However, I noticed you taking the time to wrap the line around itself 4 times in stead of just holding on the both the end and the main line and just twist the hook which would quickly wrap the line around itself. Not saying you should've done that in this video, because it's a tutorial video and you're explaining it throughly, but it would be a cool trick to tell people to make it go faster.
Try putting the sinker at the bottom and put the hook in the middle of the line. That way the sinker drops and leaves the hook free giving it less chance of snagging. Sorry if my description sounds very vague, hard to describe it lol.
Lol I’m new to fishing, so you just cut the line as close to the hook as you can if you want to put a new lure or hook on? That’s what I’m assuming but I wanna make sure. Like, for example, if I wanted to put a lipless crankbait after I’m done with the typical single hook set up?
Hi. I'm a new new fisherman and am mostly fishing off the rocks here in NZ... What would be good distances to have between sinker and hook? I'm snagging A LOT and getting pretty frustrated. Great upload by the way. Thanks.
I would never fix a bubble float like that in case the line breaks on the rod side. The fish would be left dragging a bubble float around which could get snagged and tether the fish. Its much safer to run the line through the tags on the bubble float so it runs freely on the line, then put line stops either side to limit the float's movement.
I really wanted to watch this video but all the pop ups stopped me. After three times, I just left. I am sure you have some great info. I wish I could have watched it. Thanks for sharing.
Where can you get bubble floats like that? The mighty Google is failing me, but that seems like a nice sustainable option. Thank you for the informative video.
I need help, how to you knot or tie a string onto the line roller on the spinning reel? this is my first time fishing and i dont know how to apply the fishing line to the line roller(the thingie on the side of the spinning reel). I really need help on this.
stabbed myself in the thumb right to the bone doin this .. Blead like crazyyyy! Worked though got it stuck in a bush and it woudlnt budge.. Hadda cut the line lol
Unlike natural fibre rope or yarn, synthetic fishing lines (commonly made of Nylon, but can be made of fancier materials like PVDF or Dyneema) are all very prone to slippage. On top of that, there are very strong forces at play when battling with a fish, so only the strongest knots will do. There are many types of fishing knots, but common knots (overhand, sheet bend, bowline, figure 8, etc.) just aren't good enough.
yarixza mendoza Most commonly used fishing knots are done like a self tightening way, meaning the more weight the line bears the knots become more tight.
Thanks, I bragged about being an expert fisherman to people, but i've never fished a day in my life. Now I'm going fish with them so i have to fake it.
Woah thought I’d clicked on a different site with that intro music
Lmaooooo I thought the same thing
Same

Very clear tutorial, especially for people like me who consider themselves amateurs and don't know any of the fishing terms

Old comment
It's one of the few times we in the US get to say mate. Let us have our fun it's an awesome word.
Brilliant video. Straight to the point, no confusion and line I could actually see!
Yes same. It annoys me to much when they use a clear line for tutorials 🤦♀️
Perfect demonstration and visibility thank you 😊

Old video but thank you! Very helpful for a new angler coming up in April for some trout! Here in the states.

The transcript and execution reads like an Adult Swim sketch. I love it.

This helped me so much, thank you very much!
Thank you man!!
We at Salmon Bear present a different, yet simple way to catch a fish.
really no need for any knot for hooks other than the Palomar. easiest, and maintains better line strength then the majority of other knots.
clinch knot is easy and retains 90% line strength
You've helped me a lot thanks
Thank you!!!
Great video thanks fella :-)
It works well
How do u put the weight on I’m confused
Thank you!
Lol city boys coming on here to tie a hook😂😂😂😂
thanks for your opinion, mate :)
Nice one,, cheers
was that the PH intro at the beginning 😂😂😂
Good enough for me! Cheers!
I twist the hook, instead of the line, much faster.
Truth but doing it the way he helps you know more on how many turns your doing. If you want 6 or 4 this way seems to help accuracy. But is slower.
I wonder what the inspiration was for the into
Instead of a tiny fishing line. Demonstrate with a thin rope or thick string.
Oh look! It's James Nesbitt! MURPHYS LAW!
why do you have to tie it a certain way is there a reason for that?

what kind of fishing line is he using ?
+Rami El Mani He's using yellow braided fishing line as a visual, so we can how he makes the knot.
+Anthony M thank you
Thanks mate
