Sadly she is representative of her generation (and I am a millennial). Look at how many people are defending her saying there’s nothing wrong with how she conducted herself. It comes down to the basic courtesy that is or isn’t taught by parents.

The biggest snub of the night was Taylor not even acknowledging Queen Celine. Celine Dion comes out of hiding after being diagnosed with Still Person Syndrome and you can't even acknowledge her? And who says Taylor is full of manners? This was the rudest thing I've ever seen in my life. And NO I don't care that they were hugging backstage. This was a complete lack of respect.

As a big fan of Taylor Swift for over 10 years, this time i am not defending her actions. As we can all see it clearly that she is completely ignoring Celine. I understand that we can be so excited when accepting an award and having our moment but you can just easily say thank you at the very least right? Taylor could just easily show the respect for Celine on the same stage. Its not that hard LOL. Honestly it broke my heart when most swifties are defending her. The speeches are supposed to be quick, and she just won the same grammy that her friend just lost. Obviously she is going to prioritize her friend, who she just beat, and who was a collaborator on the album. Also Celine isn't a deity you all acting like she committed some heresy, way overblown. Taylor Swift is a narcissistic, self-absorbed, overrated songwriter/entertainer. People outside her army cannot even name 1 song of hers, nor can they recognise her voice. She is behaving like a spoiled teenager exactly because there is very little substance to back up her success. Celine on the other hand is a music legend, she has sold actual physical albums, alongside Whitney and Mariah has helped shape how contemporary female singers sing, she is a trend setter in the entertainment scene in Vegas, and she has done her bit to expand francophone music to non francophone markets. Her success has actual substance, one of the reasons why she is so humble, respectful but at the same time confident and focused. Taylor should be taking notes really.

ALL Nominees were asked not to touch Celine because of stiff syndrome. In case of winning they were asked to not hug or touch her on stage. She is highly sensitive to noise and touch, it can cause high émotionna, and breathing distress, intense and painful muscle spasms…the entire night even backstage her son and doctor were there to supervise.

Miss, Taylor is no saint. Fans and non-Swifties alike are beginning to tell more and more about that woman. Anyone can see, that the (seemingly) "disrespectfull" behaviour to Celine from Taylor at the Grammy-reception was a situational thing, caused by overwhelming/"mindblowing" feelings/thoughts, confusion and distraction by team-members and has nothing to do with "dissing" Celine. It's no secret, that these two great singers appreciate themselfs - Taylor's happy reaction to Celine appearing on stage and her music (also the foto backstage) speeks for itself. There can be no doubt, that Taylor is contrite and regrets her wrongdoing very much, also she apologized to Celine - but you can't expect/demand, that this has to happen in public/social media (always)... So grab on your own noses and calm down, please!

Jfc people take this stuff way too seriously. Taylor thought first to thank her friend, who she just won a grammy over, and who was a collaborator. It was supposed to be a quick speech. And people forget things. People can make minor mistakes. Celine being there was also a surprise, so it's not like Taylor had time to plan out what she was going to say. More importantly, Celine isn't a deity, and you all acting like Taylor committed some grave heretical sin by not thanking her. Should she have thanked her? Sure, but it's also not like she kicked a puppy. It amounts to a minor mistake in politeness.
And the stuff people try to cancel her over is rediculous... Cardi B drugs and robs people and reps for a violent street gang, all fine. Billie makes a tribute song to a sociopath who tortured his gf, also fine. Taylor forgets to praise a famous rich person, and "omg she's evil!!!!!!!" Like jfc get a grip. All this backlash and drama is so unhinged.

Taylor made a history...the only person that has ever ignored a music icon and legend, Celine Dion! That's no excuse! Celine does not deserve this kind of disrespect! I have lost respect on Taylor! One day you will get old and your fame is not forever!

This was so cringy
I felt so bad with how she badly treated Celine on stage. That embrace backstage is obviously plastic, she only did it to try to hopefully recover her bad rude image, so she did the embrace for her SELF (not a genuine love for others obviously). Unfortunately, no matter what embrace she did backstage, it can't erase how rude she was showing on stage, even if it was not Celine, even if it was anyone else, Taylor's behavior on that event was one of the rudest ever on stage, just bluntly grabbed the trophy, did not even look in the eyes, not even a thank you, wooo what kind of attitude is that? And you call her a model to young generation?! She doesn't really care about anyone else, but her SELF.
I clicked on the link, stiff person syndrome, and it described the muscle contractions that are involuntary and can be very severe. These cramping spasms can be brought on by numerous stimuli, including even the lightest touch. Has anyone considered the possibility that Taylor was asked not to touch Celine, on stage where a seizure attack could’ve occurred? We should consider that Celine preferred her son to be the only person touching her during the filming.
But Taylor didn't even make eye contact with Celine. It's one thing to not be allowed to hug her on stage, fair enough, but Taylor could at least have looked Celine in the eye and say a Thank You while she got handed the award! Also she could have mentioned Celine in her speech, like what an honour it is to be next to a legend like Celine, like Miley did when she got the award from Mariah. But Taylor didn't do anything! No eye contact, no thank you, no mention in speech. It was rude and disrespectful

Maybe she wanted to hug her but wasn't sure how to so unfortunately Celine was ignored in that way. She could have still acknowledged Celine by a kind word to her, a wave, something. Some kind of communication. BUT she didn't and yes it looked bad on Taylor. I am pretty sure that she didn't mean it. I want to believe that it wasn't deliberate. Listen, Taylor may have more grammy awards then Celine (not sure how that happened) but in my opinion, Celine will always be a winner to me!! I am not a Taylor Swift fan although I do like some of her music. I will FOREVER be a Celine Dion fan 🙂

TS was disrespectful! A legend was there and no recognition or acknowledgement is inexcusable!!! Take a page out of Miley's book for her recognition of MC. She was too proud up there and personally didnt deserve another Album of the year with Sza's mind blowing album or Bey's. How about Lana?? She is never recognised by the Grammy's ffs!
