I'm going to start leaving pleasant comments on your TH-cam videos so you don't feel like it's so hostile. You and Bob are awesome sauce and I hope everyone in Seattle has a lovely day!
I had a psychologist who told me to leave my partner without any information. She also told me "such relationships never work" because he is 2 years younger than me and we are an interracial couple. She was absolutely toxic. When I told her, that I didn't find this helpful, she told me to leave and that I am bad and hateful. I highly suspect that this person was a narc. I have always been very afraid to criticise her in any form.
“Everybody is on the personality disorder spectrum”...true, though I think that is largely due to the fact that humankind have somewhat of a compulsion for recognizing and defining everything (behaviors are no exception). This is not a bad thing...just means that the field is at the point where it has identified and defined behaviors that span the mutually accepted line of “normal” behaviors.
Thank you TH-cam recommended videos. This came at a perfect time. My husband and I have our first marriage therapy appointment on Tuesday and I’m at that point of wanting to divorce too but not sure if the relationship is worth fixing. Super helpful and I will bring this knowledge with me to our session.

I loved that Bob brought up Aesop's fable of the frog and the scorpion. Such a good analogy.
