Kenworth T800 Rolloff Revival C-12 CAT This Is What I Do To Get Them Fired Up After Sitting

You’ve probably seen this truck in the background of some of my videos. There’s nothing wrong with it other than some minor issues.
There just hasn’t been the work load necessary to justify insuring 2 rolloff trucks and employing 2 rolloff drivers. So this old T800 sits there looking pretty and providing a habitat for rodents.
I have revived a few heavy diesel trucks throughout my career and I will show you some tips and tricks I use to get these old gals going again. I’m certainly not an expert but I’ve learned what does and doesn’t work. Don’t even try if the batteries are old and crusty. Fresh batteries are a must. You can burn up a starter and vapor lock a Diesel engine by under-cranking due to inadequate voltage.
In this video I will get the truck running and moved into the shop. I’m still waiting on some parts and time to complete the repairs needed to get it back in operation. My main work truck has since been repaired and I’ve been too busy getting caught up to film and work on this truck. I will have another video showing the next phase of the revival.
