You gotta listen to Nate Tice's recent podcast explaining Rodgers' struggles being more on him than you are thinking. Thought it was a nuanced way to explain issues on field beyond the off field baggage
Glad you put some respect on Daks name, I feel like he gets trashed a lot because of the nature of being Cowboys QB and his lack of playoff success. That being said I would rather have him thank Kyler or even Herbert right now because I feel that they have proved even less in terms of being able to get it done in big moments and rely more on athletic ability, which is great and impressive. I have no idea how in one offseason Jayden Daniels learned how to read NFL defenses, throw in the middle of the field, and marginally improve his arm strength.
Scheme. Kingsbury has made things incredibly easy for him and tough on defenses by running an offense akin to college. 32:34 what a pass pro rep by the rb
I think Purdy should be ranked quite a few spots higher. Does everything you need in a good QB. Pushes the ball down field, moves well, just makes a few bad turnovers here and there. Shame he will constantly be questioned because he's in a good situation but having a great coach and front office shouldn't be held against him. That's how all good QB's should be treated.
I was hoping Sean Clifford would be ranked higher than Watson for the memes
TFG! Love the in depth analysis to the tier rankings. I want to reach out about collaborating and sharing some ideas on a receiver rankings video. I’ve played the position my whole life and have spend the past 2 years analyzing the nuances to the position and ranking players and DRAFT PROSPECTS!
Goff and Dak over Purdy, Tlaw over Love and Geno, really makes it hard for me to give credence to the rest of the list. But in the end its all subjective and personal so hey
You gotta listen to Nate Tice's recent podcast explaining Rodgers' struggles being more on him than you are thinking.
Thought it was a nuanced way to explain issues on field beyond the off field baggage
Hurts spot is valid that vid you made was 100 percent accurate. I'm glad you pointed out the running cause it looks like he's just jogging sometimes
No doubt!
@@ThatFranchiseGuyHurts 100% is better than Herbert, Geno, Lawrence or Tua. What has Herbert done? Bad take by you man!
For me personally Dak is a top-8 QB and I'm obviously biased as a cowboys fan but I thought your analysis overall was very good, and it was a great list!
Goated title
Joe Burrow behind Josh Allen is a mistake.
TFG'S Derek Carr analysis always gets me. 😂
I'd argue T-Law should be at the front of Tier 4 Fine - Developing only because he has a playoff win. He's not better than any of the QB's in the Top 20 and is hella overpaid and overrated.
It’s so interesting how many good quarterbacks there are in the league. As an eagles fan I am upset about hurts ranking but those guys can flip flop and I’m excited to see where this lands at the end of the season
Under vrabel levis was developing then big brained owner thought they’d get him an offensive coach and it looks like they’ve tanked his career
Geno smith w below average starter? Have trouble getting down with that, as well as burrows placement over lamar. Still, your content and process is well thought out, great work as always!
also don't see brock purdy top 10ish when he's holding the ball as long and getting through reads as slow as he is this year.
Had to skip to the end to make sure Stroud was in the top 2 tiers. Very respectable list though
Tier lists woot woot!
This can’t be based on this season. Mahomes is not playing like the best qb in the league right now
It was never claimed to be just this season. It's mostly priors with a splash of the last 6 games
@@M015T_maybe. A very odd list I’m trying to follow along with the criteria
@@jayshands4432the criteria is basically just that it's his opinion. You'd find holes with any explained criteria
Find 1 niners fan that would take dak or goff over purdy, both of them have less playoff pedigree then him in 2 seasons
I have no idea how in one offseason Jayden Daniels learned how to read NFL defenses, throw in the middle of the field, and marginally improve his arm strength.
Scheme. Kingsbury has made things incredibly easy for him and tough on defenses by running an offense akin to college. This offense might not be sustainable but it’s perfect for what Daniels is right now. Kliff isn’t asking him to fill field read, he’s asking him to read defender’s leverage and throw to the side of the field he schemes up
Every time I watch one of these videos I’m painfully reminded of the Panthers nightmare draft :(
Take dak out the top ten dawg. It’s over for us 🫠

Texans fan here..... Stroud is ELITE no question about it!!!!
Stroud winning MVP this year.
25:41 genuine question: is this even a highlight? i mean if #4 doesn’t do everything they tell you not to do as a db on this play it’s an easy int, at least a pbu. i hated this throw into triple coverage when i watched it live, i hate it more even now because the receiver never looks open
I am a Packer fan and have watched football very closely since 2010, but was never really much into the NFL media until the late 2010s around the time I found your channel. Was Rodgers looked at and talked about in the media throughout the 2010s as the no debate number one QB in the league like Mahomes is now??
Watson is having trouble moving when he can't stay loose like he used to
guess he hasn't gotten his massages lmao
Id consider Jake Browning an interesting backup. he played very well in relief of joe burrow, could be a decent starter if given more run.
You placed Jordan love ahead of Kirk cousins but explained how Kirk cousins is better? Sam Darnold deserves more credit. Aaron Rodger’s was playing at a Deshaun Watson level in several games. He’s under throwing and his “genius” was exposed when Van Ginkle picked his tendency for six. He’s too inside his own ego to change to his current ability.
Right now I personally can't put Burrow or Allen above Lamar, but really it's more hair splitting than anything. Those 4 (and stroud with another half season of Stroud performance) really deserve to be a tier above everyone else. It's them and then anyone else rn imo
I genuinely don’t understand the spell Josh Allen has over some people
I don't either
Would make some slight changes inside of the tiers but good list. Feel like Flacco should be up a tier though
I hope Watson has is very own tier on the bottom
Kyler at 8 is nuts
I love that deshaun watson is drake to his Kendrick
It’s been a couple years since Mahomes has looked consistently like the #1 QB
The "puck luck" the Chiefs have had is absurd. They are not the New England Patriots dynasty.
