Boy. I seen sawyer brown back in 1985, in louisville Ky, an wow!! What a show they put on mark miller never set still hes such a talented great singer an women were screaming for them, they were just awesome in concert,❤❤❤😊
Don't forget 70s, 60s, 50s. They all had great stuff. Especially the early 1980s was excellent. Indeed, all decades had great country music..until almost twenty years ago.
I remember listening to this song on the radio and watching it on CMT back in the 90's when I was a teenager and now my 13 year old son and I jam out to it. Good music like this will NEVER die out!
Saw them at Cheyenne Frontier Days back in the late 80's. Incredibly entertaining. Mark was all over the stage. Just nonstop energy from them for the entire concert.
I had totally forgotten about Sawyer Brown until I heard him on the radio for a concert he's doing. I can't believe how much I miss this country music.
Here is a little history trivia how they came up with their name (from Wikipedia).. The band originally chose the name Savanna. When another band with a similar name emerged, the group decided to change its own moniker. They met at their manager's office in Nashville and began looking through area telephone books for inspiration. They blindly landed on the name of a nearby thoroughfare, Sawyer Brown Road, and derived the new band name "Sawyer Brown".
Sawyer Brown always holds a spot in my heart. They performed in S. Ga back in the early 90's so that the hospital in my town could get new neonatal equipment to save premature babies. They took time out of their busy schedule to help them and while that hospital is huge now, they helped it more then and saved so many babies by doing so! First Class Group all the way!
Stumbled across this as I'm listening to the oldies but goodies tonight. I grew up listening to a lot of rock and folk but also a lot of country because my mom and dad and aunt and uncles liked it. I loved this song. I grew up listening to Brooks and Dunn, George Straight, Randy Travis, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Clint Black and more. Thanks for posting this so I could walk down memory lane. :)
My brother and sister went to go see Granger Smith in utah about a year ago, and sawyer brown played as well. they said he was really cool. he will always be a singer who never gets the attention he deserves.
I saw them perform live at a festival for free in Tennessee couple years ago, they were pretty good live and they saved this song for last. Mark Miller, the lead singer, loves to dance like Axl Rose and Carlton Banks too lol, doesn't fail to entertain.
I think 1985-1995 had some incredible music in all genres. Country music was no exception (i agree w/ the commenter below re: 90s country), and I'd put SB front and center with the best. The Dirt Road, Outskirts of Town, Cafe on the Corner... i wore those records OUT. Miller's smooth baritone complimented by Hobie n Duncan (if memory serves) singing backup--in ways reminiscent of Diamond Rio's configuration, another country band I adore--and Miller was a great songwriter in his own right. Mac Macanally (sp) had some contributions to/collabs with the band & they were gold!
Well, well I want you to look a hear our ole friends from back in the day . Sawyer how in the world have you guys been. This is Marks mom remember everytime y'all come too lou. Ky. My son I brought with me in a wheelchair his name was Mark and your name was Mark and y'all always got him and treated him so special and let us back stage do you remember I'm sure you would if you ever get to read this. Saw these guys in concert in Tucson years ago. They were awesome! High energy and had passion for the music. It was a great show! Thanks for the memories SB.
hay I listen to the radio station call duck FM BC the play all of the old music it is located Lansing in Michigan the station is called duck FM and the number is 94.1 I think you would like this station. you could also download it on the app store it is call duck FM radio I have the app on my phone right bow it is so awesome that I try to play it ever day. I hope u like it.
You are so right! This new "so called" country music doesn't sounds like country music at all. To hear stuff like this video you have to listen via online stations or specialty stations on FM.
Damn this song brings back memories....... just the video brings back memories..... like Saturday morning cartoons, living with my folks and going to school...... damn, I could cry... ...
You were one of a kind man.....nobody will ever make this kind of country.....its ridgerunner music .....LOVE IT...R.I.P. ..PEACE BE WITH YOUR FAMILY....GOD BLESS..😇❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These guys Rock live. Only country band i will ever go see. Not a country fan at all but Sawyer Brown Kick Ass. Dude is the perfect front man for them. Awesome live !
Seen them live twice, and they rocked the house! This guy was an even bigger ham on stage, if you can believe it. Songs like this made the 90s hella fun!
One of the greatest singers !!! I remember them competing on Star Search( any body remember the show) before they were big stars, they won of course and the rest is history.
There's a 2006 show called Horseland and in that show is a talking horse character named Jimber who is voiced by a guy named Ben Birkholtz and he talks just like a cowboy with a drawl like Sawyer Brown and he also sounds almost like the same voice in every other way, so ever since seeing Horseland so long ago, I now think of Ben Birkholtz singing this song as Jimber or as himself, although as a talking, singing horse it wouldn't make any sense. For many years I always thought of Horseland's Jimber whenever I heard this song after seeing the show Not sure if Ben Birkholtz could sing or not.
This one will never get old! I remember watching this video for the first time when I was little, and I've loved this song ever since. My dad even got the cd for me at Kmart. :)
I was lucky enough to get interested in country music just as a lot of 90s acts were dominating the airwaves: Wynonna, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Sawyer Brown, Mary-Chapin Carpenter. I could go on and on. I've drifted away from country music but am thankful for 1992 - 2006 when my life was filled with a lot of great songs (and concerts).
I always thought the lead singers name was Sawyer Brown until I found out the BAND name was Sawyer Brown and the lead singers name was Mark Miller. I was SHOCKED! All these years I thought this. Who knew.??
Johnny Yum Not so Johnny yum, the Walk is the best SB song it's my middle son and my official song with each other. But this is a close second or third.
Fun fact....My late Grandpa sold one of his houses to #sawyerbrown yrs ago...In Kentucky ..I thought that was super cool! ~They are super fun down to earth guys. My grandpa said when he would talk with them. js
i am sorry to hear about you falling out of your sister-mom's trailer. what i am surprised at is that they didnt put it in reverse and drive over you again
I was 15 and my dad and I were headed out bright and early on a hunting trip. I was bummed about some girl. Without asking, he seemed to know. This song came on and he simply said, "That's really all that matters, isn't it?". Made me feel better right away. I always think of that when I hear this song. Thanks Daddeo :)
i remember sunday rides in dad's corvette listening to your music now i play it in my vette and some girls ride too thank you for your music and for helping raise me your biggest fan bja

They were an 80's band (: I saw them live in 1985, they were already big then.
@@joetaylor5113 Sawyer Brown was an 80's band LOL
Just seen Sawyer Brown in concert this past August 2019 in Wisconsin. They still put on an awesome show.
I remember listening to this song on the radio and watching it on CMT back in the 90's when I was a teenager and now my 13 year old son and I jam out to it. Good music like this will NEVER die out!

90s country music is Epic! There's so many amazing songs that the songs today will never amount or compare to.
they came to my neck of the woods last August great show!
I listen to this in 24... classic country...!
Saw Sawyer Brown last year! He was awesome!
I grew up on country, then moved on....but i find myself singing all the lyrics like i never forgot them.
I miss music like this. I have my radio permanently glued to a classics channel and what worse is this is the music I listened to when I was younger!
I saw them perform live at a festival for free in Tennessee couple years ago, they were pretty good live and they saved this song for last. Mark Miller, the lead singer, loves to dance like Axl Rose and Carlton Banks too lol, doesn't fail to entertain.

why do you make the genre an issue?
I grew up in a housing project, in NYC and appreciate America’s upward mobility. I feel like this song expresses my personality. I love old country.
I remember when they were on Star Search. Liked them then and still like them now.
That is so nineties it hurts at times. I love the song, but that video though...

Sawyer brown is coming to my town this summer. I can’t wait to see them.
I had such a crush on Sawyer Brown when I was a little girl. Never told anyone though! Loved this song...
So did I and I still do :)

the 90s was the best time for country music!!!

I heard this song in Wal-Mart this morning. First time I heard this song in like 27 years. great memories
This is the kind of music to blare as loud as you can, with your windows down, in the middle of summer.
Like the song...just can't help that he reminds me of a buffalo bill from silence of the lambs
Not a fan of all country songs but love this one
As many millions of times I've listened to this song, I've never seen the video... Thank you so much for posting this, it just made my day!
