    Nostalgia for me. My Father told of the 'fichi d'india' harvest in Sicily; making liqueur from the fruit. This rated right up there with 'Limoncello'.
    What a great tutorial set to the infamous Shoestring music. Thank you.

    It's harvest season here for us and it says this is a year old. I'd like to make a few recommendations
    1) burn the outside to quickly remove the sharp splintery hairs and the spines. You can find this on a lot of tutorials.
    2) stick the fruit in the blender. No need to freeze them to juice them. Just puree them with a little water to help the juice pass through your desired strainer.
    3) you're awesome.

    Was out hiking this weekend and noticed the prickly pears are starting to ripen and I told my sister- I bet I could find an idea for them on this TH-cam channel _Shoestring Martha! OMG here it is! I will be harvesting my own soon now - Thank you! (I learn so many cool things from your channel!)
