Even with Piloting & Ship Building skills maxed - it's worth pointing out that a lot of higher tier ship parts are still locked behind your player level.
@@LowBuckMining It would be great if they could add any feature at all that would let you just see inside your ship interior and adjust where doors and ladders go.
Good thing you cencored the SPOILER, SPOILER and SPOILER ships. Well done! 😁 Nah seriously, this video is very helpful because most standard parts one can get at the outpost landing pad - but the stuff you showcased here are exclusive to every manufacturer. 😎🤟
The real starship bridge of the future will be virtual. Windows are only useful for a relatively short range, but screens can display much more useful information. Also, instead of being at the nose of a ship, the bridge should be the most protected part of the ship, near the center. One only has to watch Empire Strikes Back to know why it’s a bad idea to have the ship’s primary control center exposed on the outside. Even Star Trek gets it and has a “battle bridge” buried near engineering (which they never use, but that’s another conversation.)
Nothing new, but probably handy for new players... You forgot to mention the N-20 landing gear, the one you can buy in Sol System, is THE best gear in-game, with a trust of 4. That's mean you can use JUST ONE where you need 2 of the medium ones with thrust of 2, and helps a lot for medium-heavy ships if you try to avoid a forest of landing gears on your build.
You didn't mention the unique parts you can get at the Red Mile and the Crimson Fleet Base. The Shielded Cargo, The scanner scramblers and the powerful EM weapons.
Do these hidden parts consolidate into an outpost landing pad, with integrated ship-builder? I know certain items don't. The experimental engines from Stroud.
I really wish they had done the Cabot cockpit as the one with stairs/two levels, that would have made it perfect!! I love both cockpits, I'm so torn on which one I want on my main ship 😫😪🤣
Its nice that Bethesda can do ladders now, but they get annoying quickly, it's too bad that there's only one cockpit that has them. Minor addition you can only get slaton aerospace engines outside of the UC.
5:54 I have NEVER seen that ship tech guy on the Stroud Eklund star station! I thought I looked all over that damn place and never found a ship tech! I kept having to go to Neon and the Stroud Building every time I wanted parts from them, why was this guy hidden in the smallest corner of the damn place? Still Thank you for all the details in this video, I've put well over 200 hours in Starfield and playing NG+ and I have Never seen the Ship Tech on that star station.
Sometimes he's at the first desk as as you enter, other times at the desk in the small cubicle further back - sometimes though he gets stuck behind the large plant and chair in the corner or that cubicle so try looking there.
Looking for deimos 110 bottom docker. I have max design and piloting and im level 56. I seen this docker on a scorpion build (on pc) but i cannot find in on xbox. Im i missing a skill or maybe need a companion stationed at my base? Or does pc have different components? Anything other then ship building and piloting determine the parts you can have?
You unlock all ship parts once you're level 60 so I'd hightail it to 60 if you're still missing some parts, I do have a video about an outpost xp farm you can check out if you're into that.
Great vid! I wish there were more options from each manufacturer. For example, Nova Galactic is the only manufacturer who makes windows. Sure you can mix and match parts when piecing a ship together, but to truly have a ship represent a particular brand/ aesthetic all the parts should be from the same manufacturer which is hard to do if a part isn’t available
So how many of these parts are included if you build the large ship landing pad on a base and which ones are still excluded from the large landing pad?
I only watch these types of videos because I will never play the game! I am watching this video so that I know about these parts as a viewer. So when I watch a blind playthrough or normal Let's Play, I know where the players could have bought these unique parts. Or do something in a game. I will always prefer watching a blind playthrough and watching a player find things themself. For me, if I was playing the game, I would never watch this video. That would be cheating. It would make me look lazy. It will make me incapable of playing the game and finding this out myself. It is not difficult to find these unique parts. If I did play the game, I would watch this video or other guides after I played the game. Just to see anything that I missed. Unfortunately, there are too many players who are no longer interested in learning and discovering things themselves when they are playing the game.
I installed a mod that makes it so all the ship parts show up at the New Atlantis location . How do you even build a ship when you have to go to five different locations to get the parts ? Install a bunch of s*** parts that you don't plan on keeping , and replacing them as you find the locations ? It's hard enough to build a ship without getting a bunch of error messages . I can't wait for the creation kit , I fully expect there will be mods on there that will allow you to make gigantic ships that you can't even land . As is you don't even have any control over where they're going to stick ladders in your ship . Cool nice captain's courters , too bad they put a ladder right smack dab in the middle of it . Oh and look at that , they put a door where my bed is supposed to be .
@@leximatic So there’s an attach button (which is G on pc) that will let you attach a part directly to a node, the game will automatically assign a door to be placed on that part that you attached as opposed to adding the parts in and dragging them to the said node. It’s basically a complicated way of choosing where the doors go in your ship’s layout. I’m actually wishing Bethesda would just give us a choose feature to assign doors.
@@CM13_ Ah, i see. I'm using Xbox, so i have to find out, if i got this feature too. Ships interieurs should have a modifiing mode like the settlements.
The nova galactic cross passage is also considerably lighter than the Hopetech version.
Pinning this 'cause I definitely missed that detail! Thank you. 👏
The nova one doesn't have attachment points though.
It also looks very flimsy imo like it could easy be snapped off with a few shots
I’ve seen loads of videos showing rare parts from the outside. I really like seeing them from the inside! Good work.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
It's great to have the pilot's view, that's very important for decide what cockpit you want.
Even with Piloting & Ship Building skills maxed - it's worth pointing out that a lot of higher tier ship parts are still locked behind your player level.
That's true, I'm actually working on a video to explain all that! 😅
And other part ships are locked under faction quests.
Also Stroud parts can be purchased at their shop in Neon core. Ship services kiosk inside
Yep, but I remember reading on reddit that they might disappear because of a bug so I did the staryard location instead! Thanks for the tip though!
They need a feature in the game that lets you look at ship interiors BEFORE you buy them.
Agreed! 👍

The Hopetech companionway fuselage fits exactly the shape of the Armstrong cockpits.

Cockpits need lower windows. Bethesda thinks these are Semi-Trucks!
Haha! That's true, some of them remind me of Snowrunner's first person view.

They also need a 0 crew option. I want a solo interceptor, not a crew scow.
To be fair. Some of them are.
All glass cockpit and habs could be possible.
Finally someone who can help
Stroud-Eklund also makes excellent low profile landing legs. I tend to build my ships from mixture of Stroud-Eklund and Nova parts.
Thanks for the clear and concise information!
You're welcome!

The great thing about hope tech hab spines and cross braces is you can put habs above them and no ladders will appear.
Thank you for a great video!
You're welcome!
I love the Deimos Ares Bridge, I just want it a 2 level like the cabot.
It would be great if they could do something like that in the upcoming updates!
Really helpful bro! Thanks!

Bravo! Subbed!
Thankss!
The Hopetech hab spine and cross brace "force" doorways, overcoming the games construction hardwiring which puts walls where one does not want them.
Well done. 👏
Thank you! 😃
Nova has the best bridge hands down.

You’re welcome! And thanks for the kind words.
Hiddin kind of implies your just going to find an engine in an asteroid belt or something which would have been nice.
We all wish this was the case, would've added some depth in the game
could someone spoil me.. what the hell is he third thingy in cockpits you kept blurring?
Unfortunately if we spoil you, we risk spoiling other people 🙈 - Sorry!

what was the spoiler screen between cargo and captains locker??
I can't reply it publicly but you can find out once you're close to the end of the main story!

What’s the biggest best cockpit?
Deimos Ares Bridge is definitely the best imo, apart from the nova cabot, which is huge on the outside but pretty small on the inside.

Is cargo capacity and mass the only difference on cockpit tiers, or do some models indeed have cosmetic differences?
From what I’ve seen, there are no cosmetic differences.
If they look the same on the outside, they look the same in the inside

Couldn't agree more! They definitely should add more unique ship parts for each manufacturer, they will probably do it on a DLC though.
people still playing this? miraculous!
With they had that nav table in the bridge of nova galactic that had the stairs.

So how many of these parts are included if you build the large ship landing pad on a base and which ones are still excluded from the large landing pad?
All of them cannot be bought from the large ship landing pad, so you can only buy them from the locations I’ve mentioned in the video! 😊

The best captain's quarters I've seen so far is the Nova Galactic one, it has a sort of cabin that has your bed and a bunch of other stuff in it.
