I'm 67 years young and that song is without a doubt one of my faves of all time!!!! Ann Wilson belts out this song and I get both shivers and want to cry every time I hear it. . Her voice is as epic as it ever was. I can never get enough of this song
I just saw Heart this past weekend for the 1st time in my 58 yrs. evev though I've been a fan since my teenage yrs. Ann is now 69 yrs. old.. People, Ann and Nancy both are the most Badass Women in Music!!! GO.SEE.HEART.NOW!!!💓💓💓
I recall as a young teenage lad when Heart was really flying high on the charts, all my friends would rave about how nice looking Nancy was and how great she was on the guitar. Well, that indeed was true, but I always had eyes for Ann. That long dark hair, round face, almond shaped eyes, full lips... and of course, that powerful voice. What isn't there to like???
Ann Wilson is the best female rock voice of all times. Period. I have always loved Heart and the Wilson sisters. Pure, authentic and awesome musicians.
This was filmed while Heart was on indefinite hiatus, following an incident between Anne's husband and Nancy's kids. They have since reconciled and are currently on the Love Alive tour with Joan Jett.
I use to listen to this song a kid and didn’t even pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics. Now, I listen to it and it’s so dark and heavy with subject matter.
So many rock vocalists lose their voices, squander their gifts, and then make audiences listen to them in sadness, longing for the days when they could still sing..... Ann Wilson can still take every listener on a journey with her amazing talent, soulful delivery, and impeccable range..... thanks, Annie
Without Ann Wilson, the world wouldn't know Heart. Big love from Fiji, Ann. This is the music we grew up blaring out of the radio while growing up in the islands. Yes, even Fiji knew you in the 80's, 90's, 2000's, and even today. Big love your way.
How I love this song. Especially slowed down like this. It was my soulmates favorite n he blasted it every morning before he left for work at 5am!! One morning he went to work n never came home. Killed on the job. Hard for me to hear this now but still beautiful. Thank you Ann Wilson 💜
Incredible the way Ann still sings to this day! Many younger ones will never reach that high quality standard. And besides this she is still an attractive lady with a beautiful mind! Thanks for all of the nice pieces of art work she gave to us! May God bless her and may she stay healthy for many more years! Thanks for sharing the video!
I'm still waiting on the huge box set of "Barbra Sings the entire Zeppelin, Sabbath, Rush (etc) Catalogues" before committing to my opinion of which really has the better voice.. *in Rock and Roll* I'll follow-up here as soon as it drops and I'm able to give it a listen! 😏😉 🎵🤍🎤🕊
Thank you for the song "All I want to do is make love to you" and how you like and dislike the song because it's so wrong but it happens. It's a song that I can feel personally because it happened to me in 1985 and to this day I still don't know where my son is and I am too frightened to find out. Thank you again for caring about how this song might affect others because it does.
I love the band HEART. ANNE WILSON'S VOICE IS FANTASTIC...WHAT A GREAT FEMALE VOCALIST !!! NANCY SINGS & PLAYS GUITAR AMAZINGLY. Love all the Heart songs. Saw them 3 times each year for my B'day when they played at Jones Beach Theater on Long Island, NY where I live. Anne's vocal range gives me chills. Best female band and miss seeing them perform. Today is June 19, 2024 and always a fan of HEART !!! ❤❤😊😊
Ann still has the most amazing voice. Everyone comments about the power she shows. For me it is the light and shade in her tone. I love the tenderness and control she has. Ann Wilson. Legend. Nuff said. 🙏 thank you
What a great Rock n Roll voice you have. I loved both versions. I didn’t think of the first one as a woman using a man as that bad. How many men do that to women.
2 Years ago my daughter got me tickets to see Heart (Ann and Nancy Wilson) live in Grand Rapids, MI, for Mother's Day! I can honestly say it ranks in the top 3 concerts I've EVER experienced. I'm 62 and have been to many, many live performances. 10 out of 10!!! Don't care how old they are...they sound as good now as they sounded on the first album of theirs that I heard when I was 13!!
Beautiful performance and a testament that it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can do anything. Can you imagine your grandma belting this out? Love it!
Nope,...only the likes of anne wilson can do this at a senior age...so u seniors out there, only do whats corresponding to ur age....coz age always matters
This version is so much more intimate and heartfelt. Still love the rock version, but at age 50, I believe that I can enjoy this rendition with the piano accompaniment just a little more. Thank you Ann!❤
BTW. She will hit the big 70, June 19. I don’t know about you guys but her rendition of “Stairway to Heaven” following the Honors to Led Zeppelin at the Kennedy Center will figure large on my headphones that day. She smashed it to pieces. I cry every time.......
Just happened across this. Always been a heart fan here in the UK since the early 80's. By far the best rock females in the world. Ann's voice is just stunning. Please come back to the UK again!!!!!
See Ann, that wasn't so hard. So many of us love this song. I know I bought the single which contributed to that gold record you have of it. I know you hate it but I like what you did to it. I hope to hear it next time you tour.
In July 1977, as Heart's limo was leaving the Dane County Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin, I (somehow) managed to get next to it. Running alongside, I stuck my right arm into where the band was riding and hollered at Ann that I would catch them when they came to Peoria (Illinois) in September of '77. Ann yelled something back at me as I broke off. Little did I know how significant that exchange in passing would be. In August of 1978, I managed to meet the Wilson sisters after a show in Des Moines, Iowa-and she remembered that passing exchange we had a year earlier!
My brother is a semi driver, and passed them- buss and semi's with HEART logos all over them- going the opposite direction on an interstate, he said it was the coolest feeling ever
Noticed a few things when she spoke about adjusting the lyrics. In this verison, she tweaked the ending bit. "I said please, please understand!" "I was in love with another man!" "And what he couldn't give me." "Was the one little thing you can!" This implies that the story is less cold, that at the time she was simply seeking to start a family. Her then lover was unable, or refused to do so, so she sought it in another way. And by circumstance she meets the same stranger who gave her that gift.
She made this song into such a beautiful song... I've personally always loves this song. Nothing Ann or Nancy does is cheap. It's always perfect to me but I do understsnd her feelings on the song. Thank you Ann Wilson for bringing this song back!! #ForeverHeart
I hate that the “Music Industry Machine” always wanted to focus on weight and comparing her to others size, because her talent is so immense and she is SO BEAUTIFUL 😍 at whatever size she is. I mean, she hasn’t aged for like 20 years! Thank you for the gift of your music. Xoxo!!
I can’t understand how a person could thumbs down this performance. I have watched it several times and continue the be blown away !! Ann Wilson is bar none the greatest female rock vocalist in history . When she sings she is obsoletely untouchable !!
Better when Ann and Nancy are together. Nancy hammers the strings and makes Ann sing Better. Ann really hit this one out of the ball park . Thank you ann .... 50 years of listening to heart ❤️
Every time we step on stage we are so thankful for all the amazing music Heart has done. From 1976 to 2016. They are one of the best! They truly paved the way for women in rock!
BEAUTIFUL SONG, EXCEPT WHEN SHE SAID SHE WAS PROUD OF "PLANNED PARENTHOOD", A DEATH, IS NEVER A PROUD MOMENT! BUT "ANN WILSON" YOUR A TREASURE TO A SONG!!
I was born late 40"s so gone thru rock ,beatles etc but late 70"s early 80"s was the best with Ann Wilson .Only other woman singer that could come close to Ann was Stevie Nicks.
Best female vocalist in my book hands down. No matter what i'm listening to on my radio, when I see Heart pop up, it's instant channel change! Always had a crush on Ann. ;) Beautiful lady & voice! Keep Rockin
Love Ann & Nancy Wilson for showing us in the 70's that girls could rock too! They are both multi talented & after having the pleasure of seeing Heart 5 times, I would see them again in a minute! Now 66, I still love to Rock! Thank You, Ann & Nancy!!
dearest ann ... you made an "old" man cry... loved this song in the 80ies ..... bit this Version is heartbreaking wonderfull ... the gods of Rock and roll may bless you and your sis Nancy....my number one female voices ...
Damn. This woman has never looked bad and she is drop dead beautiful and getting more so with time. Then don't get me started on her singing which is absolute soul grabbing ecstasy. Before I die as a happy man, I must see her perform live at least once.
Jon Heckendorf absolutely! I just thought that myself, does Ann EVER age?? Looks as great as she did 33 years ago. She really IS all “Heart” I can’t believe she thinks that the song is unfair to the man, how unbelievably cool and sweet. Now how many women hurt by love say that? Damn, I respect that a lot, but hey, she could’ve “used” me any day like the guy in the video. However , I think she’s truly a better person than that. Hope someone has the luck to return that love to her. I know she’s probably Liberal, but except for supporting PP, one FINE woman! Love you 😍 Ann! You’re gorgeous!
Jesus christ could there be a more beautiful voice and song in the history of rock just put yourself in that situation it sure makes me wanna go walking in the rain
As a young man, back in the days of `77 I heard Barracuda in a small club in Germany. Since this very moment I'm in love with this wonderful Lady and her amazing voice.
This is a very powerful and moving song. I love this version so much better than the original. This song could not be sung any better. Every word, every inflection is absolutely perfect.
So pleased to see that Ann Wilson brought this one back! Looking back now, when I was a younger man who was probably taken advantage of by older women a couple times, I have never really thought of this song as devaluing the man... There are some profound subtexts underlaying this song. The story in the song always came across to me as one of raw honesty, not celebrating what she did, and instead eventually realizing the impact her actions had on her past lover, and trying to ask his forgiveness.
I heard this song bk in the 80, s BT never heard her singing this song solo, without a doubt this would be a big hit in the charts today( any replies???) Thanks James.
Ann you are not only beautiful but so talented my name is Casey I have been listening to you and Nancy for years and have seen you both in concert countless times
I graduated from high school the year Barracuda came out which was 1977. I have been blessed and fortunate to grow up with Heart thru all their greatness. Its simply amazing to get hooked on a singer or group at the beginning of their career and remain part of their growth thru out hearing every hit when it comes out brand new. Thats what Heart means to me....a fantastic life of wonderful, heavy and beautiful music. Thank you Heart for letting me grow up with you!!
I loved how this story unfolded with her interpretation of how not to treat someone, but having to sing about it. I remembered how much I loved the song, but without hearing the lyrics until I grew older to really understand the meaning..
When I was around 18 years old, I am fool off she, Ann Wilson (Hearts).. Till today I am eagerly wanted to meet Her and making one words to speak her seriously...!!!..
A-ma-zing!!! Heard this song a zillion times but never touched me like this performance... I believed every word Ann said like she was talking to me ( I wish!) Thank you godess of rock!
I wish I can meet Ann Wilson one day wether on earth or the afterlife voice of an angel! ty Ann for continuing to give light through dark times . KEEP ROCKIN
Pleased some version of "Heart" is finally playing this song. My wife and I went and saw Heart in Newcastle, Australia in 2011 and we were really disappointed they didn't play it. It was a seminal song of our teenage years, and their biggest hit in Australia.
Yay for Anne for standing up for her beliefs and not being cold toward the guy...men count too when it comes to having children. Anne's simple change to that one word makes a big difference for the better!
Well done Ann, I'm glad you still got it after so many years. One of my all time favourite songs. Still played on dab radio Heart 90's frequently in the UK.
Oh Ann, I agree the man was disregarded in this song. It is one of my favorite songs. A desperate woman wanting a child that her husband couldn't provide her. I love this rendition and the changes that you've made. I must also admit that in Magic Man, I do whistle the hell out of that song!
In the interview portion, she said that she wanted to "tweak" the words a bit to offer that the man was not just a sperm donor, but that maybe their reunion had a chance. It appears she did that with just one change at 7:27, the old version was "I'm in love, with another man..."; this version is "I was in love with another man...". Small difference but huge. Well done Ann!
Not only this. At 5:51 she changed to 'here's the flower, here's the seed'. Interesting enough, she decided to keep 'that one little thing', which probably means it's not a reference to the baby as many believe, but to the fact that the one-night stand guy could make her come, something that her partner couldn't. I like the original lyrics because it has some ambiguity so that if you're a romantic person you can still see it as a beautiful story. :)
Ann knows JUST HOW to tell a beautiful story of one night of love, the miracle of a child and then they meet again and he sees his child. It's a sad yet beautiful story made into a legendary song! 💜💜💜
I'm 67 years young and that song is without a doubt one of my faves of all time!!!! Ann Wilson belts out this song and I get both shivers and want to cry every time I hear it. . Her voice is as epic as it ever was. I can never get enough of this song
Same here. Love this song too!
Beautiful singing voice like this no longer exists. Singers now a days CANNOT sing, let alone carry a tune. This is real talent.
68 years ladies and gentlemen and still taking us to school. This woman is one of the most amazing talents ive ever seen in my life.

Ann looks incredible! Her voice is easily one of the best in Rock and Roll,

Easily. IMHO, it is the nest.
THE BEST!!!
She has gastric band surgery.
De las mejores, vi pasar mis mejores años con estas damas y aprendiendo a quererlas...
I use to listen to this song a kid and didn’t even pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics. Now, I listen to it and it’s so dark and heavy with subject matter.
The ravenous rampant sex that night. Yeeehaw
So many rock vocalists lose their voices, squander their gifts, and then make audiences listen to them in sadness, longing for the days when they could still sing.....
Ann Wilson can still take every listener on a journey with her amazing talent, soulful delivery, and impeccable range..... thanks, Annie
Astounding she took a beautiful ballad and with her talent as a story teller made it even more legendary.
Yes so correct. So bittersweet

You are so lucky to have witnessed this amazing woman live.. I adore HEART the Wilson sisters are incredible....
Ann, you still have it. One of the best voices in the business.

OMG...omg...this lady was a superstar performer in the 80s....and she still can grab an audience with emotion from the depths of her being !
That woman, that voice and this beautifully redefined song. Pure magic from a legend. Thank you for blessing us with your incredible talent and soul.

How is it possible for a woman nearly 70 years old to still sound that good??!! It boggles the mind...
I can't get enough of this version! You are a legend Ann Wilson 🙌🙌🙌😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a voice so powerful without shouting, not like some so called singers, cant believe its coming up to 50 years when i 1st saw her singing on TV.
The writer of this song was a fool... and she proved herself right. Turned a song around and made it sweet. Thank you Ann. Dulcet tones and all...
like a great wine...Ann Wilson's voice just getting better over the years
Ann Wilson has the best voice in Rock and Roll, no one comes close. Not even Streisand.
I agree. Although Tina Turner is the queen, when it comes to strictly rock vocals, no one touches Ann Wilson.
I'm still waiting on the huge box set of "Barbra Sings the entire Zeppelin, Sabbath, Rush (etc) Catalogues" before committing to my opinion of which really has the better voice.. *in Rock and Roll*

Absolutely stunning.... That's all needs to be said..
ANY female voice on the planet is, at very best, a far distant second to Ann Wilson. Greatest female rocker EVER !!
Timeless voice and music🥰
The one of the best rock songs all times.
u know I've listened to a lot of music in my day but I don't know if it gets any better than this. so fkn perfect and beautiful. thank u for this
A-ma-zing!!! Heard this song a zillion times but never touched me like this performance... I believed every word Ann said like she was talking to me ( I wish!) Thank you godess of rock!
This woman’s voice! So freakin powerfuuuuuuuuul
I could go to sleep listening to any of your songs Ann. You are beautiful.
Heart is one of my absolute favourite duos and musicians. This is a brilliant song, and Heart is as superb as ever!
Oh Ann, I agree the man was disregarded in this song. It is one of my favorite songs. A desperate woman wanting a child that her husband couldn't provide her. I love this rendition and the changes that you've made. I must also admit that in Magic Man, I do whistle the hell out of that song!
Heart one of the greatest band's ever. The music is unbelievable.
Peace and love always❤❤
Yeah, but now its a story of divorce. Bad trade-off.
And I hope whoever wrote it sued her.
Ann knows JUST HOW to tell a beautiful story of one night of love, the miracle of a child and then they meet again and he sees his child. It's a sad yet beautiful story made into a legendary song! 💜💜💜
I really admire her. Ms. Ann Wilson you're One of the best storyteller of all time.. More love and respect! From the philippines 😘😘😘
Mrs.
Absolutely, one of the greatest singers in rock history! She completely lives in the moment when she sings!......and what a voice!
