I was front row for this amazing concert in San Diego, I had no idea they would play highway to hell and I am sure glad I captured it. Great night Godsmack rules! ACDC should be proud.

I went to a Stone Temple Pilots show to see Godsmack that was my favorite band and left in love with my new favorite band, DISTURBED!!! They were touring on their first album where they start by frying David in an electric chair.

Bon Scott discovered Brian Johnson by accident. Brian Johnson was in serious pain the night Bon Scott saw him perform. He went back to the other band members and said that he found his replacement if anything happened to him. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Subscribed, and is it me or did everyone I know grow up listening to AC/DC? LOL. In particular this song or back in black? I grew up listening to every AC/DC album. Everything from jailbreak to Rock Or Bust and then whatever one is coming next. I’m only 22 right now. I want to be a rock guitar player. The first child in my family not to be in the military. Lol much respect to our men and women around the world fighting for every country’s rights. But I would rather be a soldier of rock. My dad passed away in January ironically on Malcolm‘s birthday. I was turned on to GodSmack in the late 90s while working for the NWS in Spokane, WA as a general forecaster.
Still doing the weather sh*t after 27 years here in TX, but only few more years of this rotating weekly bullsh*t. I'm old and tired, man, who gives a damn, I don't. Sully and these guys are still badass.

It's hard to sound like either Bon or Brian without ripping your vocal chords to shreds. One writer once described Johnson as "larynx-shredding". I'm inclined to agree.

I'll tell you something. Godsmack is the BEST live performance band around from all of those I've seen. I've seen ACDC, Metallica, Korn, Van Halen, and many more, and Godsmack beats them all live. That doesn't mean the others don't kick ass. They do, but Godsmack is just the best live.

I’d have to agree, I’ve seen Godsmack a couple times and they’re spot on. Better than the recordings. A hard working band with a killer set! Never miss a chance to see them live.

David Heaton Yep he sounded more like Brian Johnson based of the raspiness of his voice. It didn't have those clean high notes Bon Scott always had. Still was a great cover though.
