He had told people that he had Highways follow up albums lyrics just about finished. People saw Shook me lyrics in his notebook before he passed. He never stopped writing. He was known as a prolific writer. An after FTATR the lyrics were trash. Fly on the wall? Flick of the switch? Blow up your video? N on an on I mean Who made who??? Who made you? If you made them an they made you then who picked up bill and who made who??? A short time after BIB they ran out of Scott's lyrics. Just a coincidence that his song notebook was stolen an never found. Brian is entertaining but he was no where near the song writer Bon was. Screw the Youngs! @@tommytrinder.1226 -- Bon set up the pins and Brian Johnson just knocked em down. Highway To Hell was their mega album, and whatever they wrote next was going to break big. @@blacksonne19 its not a matter of convincing, its a matter of you being ignorant. he died when they started bib and the night he died they just started hells bells. he lied to people saying he finished it so he had a reason to party. he had no real friends where they were staying and no family. no wife no girlfriend running low on money. the people that were in those interviews that said they saw his lyrics were literally the biggest crack addicts and were paid to say what the writer of the book wanted. you just listen to dumb conspiracy's without doing any real research yourself. bons family has been making royalties since his death off of all the albums that bon wrote and a steady amount that goes to his brother then its split to 3 separate accounts. if u knew anything about bon it would be that hes a blues writer. and he used the blues formula which u can research yourself if u want to prove yourself to be wrong. if you know all of his lyrics u would know that all of them are connected and tell a story which is what the formula was all about. blues writers would stick to the same types of lyrics and never drift off. example -bon often wrote about , the blues, sex/stds rock and roll, being a musician or jail. brian writes about sex/cars , hard rock, or darker mystical things(witches demons monsters, nothing bon would ever write about). the only notebook they found was his one with the original lyrics written by him and brainstorming of his previous songs and his was sold to the Australian museum . you cannot honestly think u can take blues lyrics and put them into an entirely different genre and make it work , that is pure stupidity. brian explains how he wrote most of his songs off bib and to be frank if bon wrote those, it would be the worst lyrics he ever wrote and i would be disappointed in him. every album before bib was better than it. when did bon ever write about cars? "she was a fast machine she kept her motor clean" connect those lyrics to any song that bon wrote. now go back and see brian is a car fanatic and how angus said why are all your lyrics about cars and he replied "well its about cars and sex" the blues formula when used takes previous irl experiences to form a dna for a writer and bon was addicted to the blues. again if u want to prove yourself wrong api.research-repository.uwa.edu.au/ws/portalfiles/portal/9844750/Quinton_James_Paul_2015.pdf read this pages 175 and up. it will explain how bon wrote his lyrics and how literally all of his songs are connected. then look and brians and see zero resemblance of blues or connections to any of bons lyrics. you people act like its the firsttime a band did a one hit wonder album. some bands do it all in one album and some stretch hits out like the stones or zep. bon didnt write a single bad song or a single song that isnt fitting into his blues formula. now stop bullshitting and telling lies and do some research to see that brian deserves a lot more credit than haters like u give out. the facts are laid out and its on you to face facts. you cant say anyone that said they saw lyrics are telling the truth because they would say anything for money and most of them were street hoes that were blasted 24/7. even his ex wife is a bullshitter , he left that liar before he died because he knew she was no good, now she wrote books to make money off of his death.
@@ryzen1383 Yeah I agree, he is great, but Bon? Oh my. He was a great singer and a great songwriter. He was a musical genius and his “dirty” voice fit AC/DC’s well known dirty lyrics damn well. You can HEAR the grin on Bon’s face in his voice when he sings. Love him❤️
@@rubyredjeans charisma indeed. He had a flirty way of singing that makes anyone able to understand what kind if song it is, even if they don’t know English. His charisma and flirty performance is and always will be iconic. The man is a musical genius, and Brian has many times admitted that Bon was his biggest inspiration.
@@ryzen1383 I think that most of the lyrics for Back in Black were written before Bon passed. There's a reason why that album was their absolute creative peak, never to be duplicated again with Brian.
Slightly disagree with that. They became unparalleled when Brian Johnson joined, and been so ever since. Back In Black, for instance, is still on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. And while Bon had a great stage presence, I think Johnson brought a fuller, guttier sound into the band --- and he still sounds like he's in his 30s. In any case, I always liked Johnson better.
My dad raised me listening to ACDC, Journey, Foghat and others back in the 80s. He used to quiz me on "What band is this, what song is it, who sings it" whenever their songs would come on the radio. I got to the point where I can hear the difference between the songs sung by Bon and the ones sung by Brian. He then took me to an ACDC concert on the Stiff upper lip tour for my 18th Birthday that just so happens to be Angus Young's birthday as well. It's a day I will NEVER forget seeing my idols up on stage and in person.
I was fortunate enough to see AC/DC in 1979 in Sioux Falls South Dakota with cheap trick. I was a 14 your freshman in high school that had no business being at that concert lol. That being said it was one hell of an experience, I feel like I’m one of the small percentage of AC/DC fans that had the chance to see Bon Scott, the master, live in action. Now I’m 59 and I still rock out to these guys daily. I must’ve done something right as my son loves AC/DC more than I do, he saw them in Atlanta with Axl Rose. Who the hell would’ve thought in 1979 watching AC/DC that their son would be watching them almost 40 years later live in concert. Bon Scott, the king!

I doubt very much he is resting in peace sadly. Tormented with gnashing of teeth in the lake of fire. There's no rock and rolll in Hell, just incredible pain, torment, grief and solitude and regret. So sad. I can only pray that nobody else follows him there. May people turn to God, as peace and salvation can only be found in Him.
Every single one of you holy rollers can bite my ever loving weenie! Why do you feel it necessary to come on here & start spouting off on how Bon's literally in hell. You people honestly make me sick...signed a Baptist who hates those who thinks it's ok to try & make others feel bad about their belief that their idol is in heaven.
I was a huge AC DC fan but now I pray for the remaining members as I know hell is real, and I fear for the eternal destination of Bon. The wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through faith in Jesus the Messiah.
Better singer in my opinion but Brian Johnson is the best possible replacement, got to see them when I was 16 back in 09, people just don't get it when I say they so badass lmao
I saw AC/DC in 1978, 1979 in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Can’t remember the date of the third time that I saw them. It was something else that you could smoke weed and pass a joint, smoke your pipes, and nobody said a word to you, a cop walking by, not anyone. As long as you weren’t getting in trouble or being a complete idiot you were allowed to smoke and rock ‘n’ roll to AC/DC!! 🙌🏻🤙🏻 I’m 62 years old and I have seen them three times in concert twice with lead singer Bon Scott then Brian Johnson. Best concerts!!We were in the 10th row and I’ll never forget it. It was absolutely the best!! Rock on boys, wherever you are. ❤
What made Bon Scott so good as a frontman was that he never ever looked out of his depth, scared or intimidated by the crowd. His attitude always seemed to me to be,”I know we’re a great band and we’re gonna prove it to you tonight”
Sad that a night of drinking and probably drugs cut short a brilliant talent and life. Such a waste, Bon would have loved being upfront of the tens of thousands of jumping screaming AC/DC fans. Well at least he was the voice that kick started it all.
Great stuff! Saw them in Midland,TX a couple months later. Loudest concert I ever attended in 45 yrs of shows. Angus started the night by running and sliding on his knees across the stage from stage right. Tore off scabs already there,ha,his knees bled all night. It was an awesome gig.

Leaving Bons name off the Albums contributors. His family never got any money. I mean 8 months after Bon Dies they have completed the 5th best selling rock album of all time? No way.
@@tommytrinder.1226 -- Bon set up the pins and Brian Johnson just knocked em down. Highway To Hell was their mega album, and whatever they wrote next was going to break big. AC/DC were on their way to superstardom, with Bon or without him. Brian Johnson was the lucky bastard who stepped into the synergy of the upward momentum of the band. Sure it was a horrible sad time, and maybe the sympathy vote propelled the band a little at first, but it was all setup to succeed from the band's career pathway to the point.
@@onyxsh0cks456 I didn't even read what you wrote because I can tell your a moron.
It’s crazy to think of AC/DC being any bigger but if Bon would’ve lived they would have been unparalleled in rock and roll. Dude was awesome.
brian johnsons songwriting is very good tho and his energy
Anyone else notice how Angus is still this good 41 years later???.
Even better

Wow this album is 40 years old now.....DAMN. Then next year Back in Black is 40 years old. That's nuts.
Это точно, вообще абзац. Как это вообще получилось-то?????))))
I was 17 when it came out...blew out a few speakers with this album..where did the time go?
Time sure flys by.

R.I.P. Bon Scott and Malcolm Young .
D respect 😊
È la stessa cosa che spero quest' anno s Reggio Emilia
You sir saw the master
I still rock to AC/DC and I turned 73 yesterday
My wife thinks I’m crazy 😂 especially when I put on
“Im a rocker” and go crazy
Très belle histoire. J’ai 58 ans et j’ai eu la chance de voir AC/DC avec BON SCOTT également
I was there too. In Brighton UK. Never forget it
Phil Rudd - one of the most under rated drummers of all time.
He’s rated perfectly lol. No chops, just pure rhythm.
Nah. Simon is
Gotta be careful when you say he was killing it though lol
50% no shirt
+50% tight pants
=100% badass rockstar
Bon Scott was truly a one of a kind legendary frontman R.I.P Bon Scott 1946-1980 May he rock in paradise 🤘🤘
Queen sucks freddie mercury was nothing more than shitty opera singing wannabe whereas Bon Scott was a real rockstar, a rock god, a true badass nothing about freddie mercury was badass
And maybe but even without his shirt he still sucked because the way I see it anyone that likes queen doesn't know what real rock music is queen's music is alot of things but rock isn't one of them that shit reminds me of that idiotic song called old town road if you haven't heard of it go look it up.
@@Superman_305 I think Queen's music is God-Awful, but Freddie's singing is amazing, the rest is garbage though
@@thecreamylad that's your opinion and I respect it 👍

New album or not these guys will never get old and will stay legends forever
Rock n roll just ain't made like this any more
Bon Scott may have been on the Highway to Hell in life, but he's gone to rock heaven in the afterlife, undoubtedly. Rest in peace.
It doesn’t work that way, unless one hands over the steering wheel to the One who came to rescue us. John 3:16
This song is a deeply philosophical satire of the Christian notion of Hell, which as the song has it, it is puritanical and absurd.
Fantastic Vocal ... Fantastic Band ... AC DC FOREVER ....
“Hey, we’re on TV now, so I want y’all to smile, alright!”

Better singer in my opinion but Brian Johnson is the best possible replacement, got to see them when I was 16 back in 09, people just don't get it when I say they so badass lmao
Wow! Those vocals sound better than in the album, 1 take, no overdubs... We miss you Bon

Bon was really great, one of a kind. And the real one in my view.
I agree by 100%
I love AC/DC and love both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, but I grew up listening to Bon so he has a special place in my memories and he always will.
Best version of Highway to Hell I've EVER HEARD. Bon is FANTASTIC here! Do you agree guys?!?!

Bon's Vocals are freaking amazing, no one Ever even comes close to his range...! I'm on the Highway too Bon, see you when I get there, cheers Mate!

Brian had like twice his range, but Bon just had the whole package. Sound, style, stage presence attitude lyrical intuition
Martin Tramil Bon’s legendary but Marc Storace comes pretty close to his tone. Not exact but pretty damn close.
Look at the old amps lol
This was real MUSIC and a era for music that can NEVER BE REPEATED and I’m glad I saw many 70’s concerts 🤘
One of the greatest voices in rock history.
You could tell Bon lived it like he sang it - there just is no replacement no matter how hard you wish it.
Does it get any better than this? Pure unadulterated hard-driving rock'n'roll. Amazing collection of talent this band.
I have heard every 7 minutes an ACDC song gets played somewhere in the world.
Rock on!
You sure a f ck cant smoke at a concert now .... ha ha ..good for now you idiots enjoy your concert ..ha ha
I was caught with a joint, cop still let me go in Chicago in the 70's
What made Bon Scott so good as a frontman was that he never ever looked out of his depth, scared or intimidated by the crowd. His attitude always seemed to me to be,”I know we’re a great band and we’re gonna prove it to you tonight”
Sad seeing him casually put down his 2 beers before getting on stage. 0:32
Didn't the whole band have the same attitude, Malcolm knew it, Angus know it.
Sad that a night of drinking and probably drugs cut short a brilliant talent and life. Such a waste, Bon would have loved being upfront of the tens of thousands of jumping screaming AC/DC fans. Well at least he was the voice that kick started it all.
Happy 40th anniversary to one of the most iconic songs in history. AC/DC IS rock n roll...We want a tour guys!!
Highway to Hell lives on
Nothing today kicks this much ass.
Bon Scott, diese Stimme als Frontmann, dass Beste was ich jemals gehört habe, seit 1976. War meine wilde Zeit. RiP Olaf

You could never say Angus Young never gave 100% in his performances
True, but how about Bon Scott? I'd say he was the real deal.
Angus never gave 100%. There I said it.
He gave 666%

More like 200%... I would not be surprised if after a concert, he had EMT's giving him IV fluids to treat exhaustion and dehydration after a show...
@@ronpeacock9939 Why would you downgrade Angus from my comment?

With all respect to Brian Johnson, Bon Scott was the epitome of rock n roll and the best lyricist of them all.
RIP Bon and Mal.
