Hi Julia. I found your site because I took an acrylic workshop and was looking for more information. Was fascinated with your use of colour. I thought your style was acrylic specific and am so delighted by this demo. You are so brave and fun with watercolour.
I use those brushes all the time! They are great for field sketching, sketchbooks, very small, fast paintings. I use them with watercolors, watercolor pencils and inktense pencils. They are fun! Sometimes I do ink drawings.
Thanks for the demo! The addition of the permanent marker reminds me of the writing you've been doing on your abstracts. I like using the markers as well, I just need to try keep the lines a bit looser like you've done here. Will we get full watercolour tutorials in the future?💜
So fun to watch you do this. I’ve used these types of brushes for a long time. I take them on trips. A little frustrating in the vehicle when traveling between BC and Edmonton on way to Calgary as the highway is soooo rough lol. The last set I bought, I thought there was something wrong with them. I couldn’t get the handle off. Turns out you have to turn opposite direction to what we are used to. Ruined one of them trying. So warning to others out there.
Love, Love, Love this!!!

Wow. Really cool. I love the effect of the pen afterwards.
That was fun! I haven't touched water colors in 40 years. 💖💖💖
I don’t use them very often either.
I’ve had some of these for a few years now, they’re also good for isopropyl alcohol if you use inks
That’s such a great tip!
Thanks.
So pretty. ❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!

@@VesnaMilne I don’t know about watercolour tutorials! Maybe!
That's cool. I've never tried watercolors but I do use that brush with acrylics. I do not add the water however, I do dip the tip in water.
Interesting! Try them with water!
I use lip gloss tubes with sponge or brush tipped wand inside that I have emptied and cleaned. Let's me use more or less water and paint.
Great idea!
Have been waiting to try this for awhile. Thanks for sharing now going to definitely give it a try. 👍🏼
Have fun!
