      I wouldn't I'd recommend the 420hc version as a first knife to get good at sharpening/maintenance. 20cv takes a bit of patients to sharpen in comparison.

    Just got mine today and love it! The blade stock is the thinnest I have had though. So happy with my purchase. Best deal out there and Kershaw is one of my favorite big name knife brands. Awesome knife.

    “Slap a zt logo and charge double for it”. What a strong and precise comment was that. You nailed it buddy! This knife looks awesome. Has premium steel, american made. Its a flipper? So?

    Definitely the best deal out there. If only they offered the Link 20cv as an un-assisted knife as well. Or as a frame-lock. ..there is the Bareknuckle I think does come in 20cv?

    Why would anyone have a problem with kershaws assisted flipper opening? Have 5 counting my 1 zt.
    All flawless. Paid 72.00 for mine, best quality steel, deal out there.

    Still $80 bucks on Amazon. Agree with your review and did buy one. This feels good in the hand.

    Kershaw is such a great knife company. You can go from cheap to affordable to high-end. Choose your own price range. Now for myself, comparing this knife to the Paramilitary? I'd choose the beefier blade of the Link. Isn't there a light-weight version now also? Thanks for all your videos, mate.

    What do you think between this and the code 4? I’m having a tough time deciding

    • @palmettoedge1908
      @palmettoedge1908  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t have a Code 4 so I can’t say for sure, but I can say that I generally prefer 20cv steel over s35vn. In my environment I tend to have a lot more problems with s35vn rusting. Either knife would be a great decision.

      Palmetto Edge I’ve never had a kershaw, but I heard the locks are weak. I’m a tradesman so I don’t want it failing on me in the middle of a job

      @@burntdice2810 I've lived in very humid places and been aboard ships off and on. The code 4 in XHP was my only pocket knife for four years and is still my primary. It will develop very minor specks of rust after months and months of use without any maintenance if you are around water and sweating all the time. The lock is solid as hell. I have never used s35vn, but I hear it is similar.

      @@burntdice2810 My first Kershaw was a cheap one(no idea which), and I beat the crap out of it and never had a lock issue. The 20CV Link I have, has had the lock fail with an extremely tight grip, in which I somehow disengaged the liner lock. This happened about 24 hours ago. I’ve tried to duplicate the slip, but have been unable to. But, it is possible I guess.

    I would recommend this knife; however....The ONLY drawback on this knife is one (1). There is no jimping where your thumb would go when cutting or applying pressure. As a result it's slippery as butter. Benchmade puts jimping in the exact same spot on all their knives and on my Kershaw Blur, and all other Kershaws, it had jimping there for added grip safety. Otherwise; a great knife and value.
