Adding Rosco heat shield behind the gel will extend its life. More importantly, attach them to a frame to reduce the temperature. Aputure recommends the same for gelling softboxes.

thank you so much! yes we bounced the same light like in the daytime scene but just added that CTB gel for the nighttime look!
