Also the true intention here is to basically encourage a type of doxing. She didn't resign because of some shame or moral principle. She resigned because she felt her life way in danger. She was being bullied, abused, and regularly receiving DEATH THREATS.

Yeah, nowadays, that kind of happens to everyone on the Internet. Dream cheated in a video game and got about 100 times the hate she did. She on the other hand, a president of one of the most prestigious universities in the world was caught doing something that is one of the biggest breaches of academic integrity at almost every school. She resigned because that’s what you do when you get caught fucking up this bad. She resigned as to not drag the name of Harvard further through the mud.

When I was in undergrad our Chancellor was busted for appointing representatives of textbook and software companies on the board of directors (although there were also protests she was hostile to BLM and black safety on campus). She was ousted for doing the exact same shit Duvos was actively doing with the department of ed at that very moment. But none of you heard about this case right? Exactly. The scrutiny and press on the ousting is identical to Red states/Red districts ousting PoC and LGBTQ out of academia (local teachers and school boards)

i work with sarah huckabees cousin.
they told me a story about how their class got the only black teacher they ever had fired on their first day of school.
It was the first day, he was doing the thing where you introduce yourself to the class and all the rich rivate school white kids didn't want to and got their parents to get rid of the teacher.
and he has told me about how black people join the country club and people dont associate with them. they basically take their money and then run them off.
im pretty sure the huckabee i work with is gay but cant be out and proud because of their family.

@@doggodoggo3000 That's awful. On the one hand this could be argued as keeping PoC/LGBTQ out of positions of power over white students, teaching them "deviant ideologies" and creating a more inclusive culture. However, I'd argue this stance could be extended by highlight that These jobs simply MUST be filled (guaranteed labor) and that ousting these folks from such positions is a means to secure such jobs specifically for the ideal white community (Heteronormative, Christian, "apolitical", women, reproducing the very social hierarchy they want while maintaining dominance over access to these MUST HAVE jobs)

@@ipsilonia I would like to preface this with just saying that I don't like being debate-y. I don't know if it was misogynoir or just a contempt for ivy league, neoliberal stuff. The whole story, in the news and congress, was most definitely misogynoir though. There's Ivy Leagues, like Harvard, that do a lot of bad for the black community, like I'm from the Boston area, and I know that even while she was president, Harvard was still investing in the gentrification of many previously black neighborhoods in Boston and surrounding cities. That could also just be my own distain for these institutions bleeding into how I perceived it. (sorry for the long reply, this isn't a topic I want my take to be misinterpreted on. I'm also not in a position to decide on issues like this, as I've read from different black leftists on how to go about addressing black neoliberalism, and don't really know if it's a situation where success should be celebrated and defended whenever possible or to weigh it against its impact on the community. idk, what do you think?)

The Right Wing is so well known for their meticulously high standards for academic integrity as they place huge importance on its role in shaping future minds. So, it's easy to see why they would be so outraged about the mere appearance of impropriety in American colleges and universities as they have an almost religious adoration of these institutions. It's about integrity in academia. 🙄

All of these excuses (which no one really believes and which almost seem as empty ritual) for terrible actions taken now are strictly so those morally culpable can claim earnestness or ignorance in 15 years when everyone finally admits how wrong it was at the time. I first noticed this during the Invasion of Iraq. _No one_ believed Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction, but these justifications were nevertheless paraded out to the public. This was so GWB could be redeemed as a doddering painter. Aloing who enthusiastically voted for the war could pretend they aren't responsible for the decisions they made, because they were so convinced that a "smoking gun would become a mushroom cloud".

If she was able to get her doctorate, work in the field for over a decade, and become President of the most prestigious university in the world it can be assumed that her allegleged plagiarism didn't really matter. Also, that accusation came from Chris Rufo, the same guy who lied and convinced half the nation that public schools were teaching Critical Race Theory to 3rd graders.

    • @0ldar

Yeah Im not sure why everyone is saying otherwise. If youve been to college you know, the ONE academic standard they have, to the point of having plaques posted in classrooms, is plagiarism is a zero-tolerance expel from the school. What they really need to do, is do a deep dive on EVERY other professor and administrator to see what plagiarism theyve done also.
as a side note, it's obvious the israel interest groups set this action into motion - and that should be pursued diligently, but as it stands, she still is in the wrong for plagiarism
