It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. No matter what the critics claims, no one can deny the fact that this movie had some of the best visual works and effects
A movie from literally 2014 and even in tom Hollands series vfx just don't feel like this one. It just feel better and natural for some reason.
But still, it's a shame that they put so more effort to the Visual effects instead for a competent screenplay

For all i care i do know and care why they love this movie. And its exactly the points where i liked the movie too.

The movie itself has a very good opening if we ignore the plane crash scene, the swinging scenes are the best up till now, they really nailed comic accuracy in the Spider-Man character as a whole, it have beautiful snd amazing visuals and cinematography that i still love, its got amazing soundtrack and themes for the characters that really describes their personality. They successfully delivered a heartbreaking moment, etc. etc.
But i can also agree that the movie as a whole is a mess. First of all the plots and subplots are so much for the audience its almost like the movie was forced to take all these all for the sake of the trilogy, sony was rushing to make a sinister six movie and it made the film a horrendous mess. Avi Arad and Amy Pascal just smacks all the subplots in the end. Its almost like its only a tool made just so they can get into the real thing; A Sinister Six film.
They rushed the film too fast and even got a lot of mistakes in the final cut (eg. The cameraman was reflecting through harrys glasses while hanging out with peter)
Has anyone come back to watch this trailer after watching No Way Home like me?

to think how this was gonna be a legit series and it didnt really go anywhere.... wow
With Peter Parker getting the spotlight as Spider-Man in the MCU, I think it'd be a great idea if Sony made this series a cinematic variant of Ultimate Spider-Man (Earth-1610 in the comics, for anyone who doesn't know). It would allow us to get an ending to this version of Peter Parker, while also creating a perfect opportunity to introduce a live-action Miles Morales (should they follow through with Peter's death).
Also, Electro's design being fairly similar to the Ultimate version just makes this idea all the more perfect to me, honestly.

This movie would of banged so much harder if Sony didn't cut out so many important scenes. It was still good to me but I get why so many people disliked it. Not Andrew though, he's seriously a really good actor and did amazing with that script, not his fault they wrote it that way 🤷♂️

@@khali1118 I agree it's not bad at all, but it would of been better with all the scenes. If you've never seen the deleted scenes it seriously changes some aspects of the movie. Like even electro has more interactions with his mom as Max and shows how bad his home life is to but his mom's not even in the final cut. Peters dad deleted scene is wild to, and all the oscorp stuff foreshadowing the goblins gear was taken out making everyone question how he even knew how to use it.
It's wild they took all it out but still the final cut we got was really good one of my favorites to this date

This trailer hinted that Oscorp would be throwing villains at Spider-Man. The movie had Electro be a geek, and Harry become the Goblin out of desperation. Honestly, if they kept the plot simple and did a Spidey vs. Oscorp (i.e. the people vs. the system type) build-up, TASM2 prolly would've done a lot better.
Shoot, they could've just had Electro as the only villain.

Just watching this trailer after rewatching the film recently and I noticed this trailer hints at a film very different to what we got.
So many cut lines and mashed together dialogue and scenes that just completely change how it actually plays out
I remember I stayed up all night waiting for this trailer to come out and I got the 120th view I was so excited for this film and was excited for the sequels and now I.... Will never experience that excitement again.😢

Delon Luu I haven't watched any of his other films but I hate him as spider-man...too much corny stuff at least tobey made the corny work to a certain extent but scenes like when peter(garfield) went to see harry for the first time it was unbearable to me.. extremely corny and it seemed so fake the friendship between harry and peter seemed non-existent in AS2 another example of a stupid scene was when gwen stacy died and appeared to be dead upon impact and Peter goes : Stay with me...stay with me..how generic and stupid...there's alot to complain about in this movie but I'm not gonna be the sour puss that says something like I'll never watch a spider-man movie again..regardless on how bad the actor or the movie itself is I always enjoy seeing super heroes on the big screen.

here after seeing no way home. this series has always been my favorite and still holds true after seeing it. this series had so much potential with its storyline and had a much darker and interesting plot in my opinion. also can’t forget to mention andrew’s peter and gwen’s chemistry was 100x better than tom’s peter and zendaya’s

I honestly thought it was a very fun movie. I love the originals and Toby but Andrew Garfield plays a killer Spider Man and actually displays his more intelligent Peter Parker side as well.
Jamie Fox also did a very good job playing Electro. First Spider Man villain I've actually felt bad for, outstanding character development!

General rule for cinematic universes: dont over do it in the first or second movie. BvS, Iron Man 2, Amazing Spider-Man 2, all suffered because of this.

The trailers for the first Amazing Spider-Man were the same way. They even showed the final battle scene in the trailers and gave away the ending.
