Hi Divya, Thank you so much!!!! 1. The no. of macarons depends on the size piped. If you pipe smaller ones, you'd get 24 shells or 12 macarons approx and for slightly larger shells, you'd get 12 shells or 6 macarons. 2. The thickness of the aquafaba can vary, that won't be a problem. It depends a lot on the weather conditions too. I've made this aquafaba about 6 times (and once on a day when it was raining way too heavily so more humidity) now and each time, there is very slight variation in colour and thickness but it doesn't affect the whipping consistency. You could use either store bought or homemade and it will work fine. 3. Yes absolutely! The quantity will be the same too if using almond flour! I hope this helps and please do let me know how your macarons turn out, happy to help if you have any questions! 💗

@sammy sure Hi Sammy, I'm so sorry to hear that! May I ask if you tried inverting the bowl and the 'meringue' stayed in place? It won't whip to the same stiff peak that egg based meringue whips to. It will still be somewhere between a stiff peak and soft peak that's the reason I show by inverting the bowl and the meringue stays in place so you know the aquafaba has been whipped as needed. Please do let me know! I'm also going to upload a super detailed video on this aquafaba next Friday so that it answers all your questions! I really want to make sure you get the macarons recipe right!

Oh no!!!! I am so sorry to hear that, but macarons are a bit tricky so please don't stop baking because of them! You GOT THIS!! 🥰 You will definitely get it right. You could use almond meal itself. I've used oat flour as it's a bit cheaper alternative in India.

Hi, actually I have a microwave with conversation mode so can u tell me temperature for the same and for how much time should I fry the shells before baking
Hi Guneet, you can follow the exact same procedure for the convection mode in a microwave as well and you can leave the shells to dry until the microwave preheats (in convection mode). This takes ideally 15 - 20 minutes. Just make sure you leave the shells to dry where there is no humidity, ideally under a fan or in an air conditioned room! 💗
Hi Prina, actually with other recipes, using tablespoons etc is doable but with macarons you have to be very very precise even 1 gram more or less can affect how they turn out. I hope this helps! 💗

Yes I did enjoy making them! :) It was my first successful batch of eggless Macarons and I was super thrilled to see the results 😊 And Yes, I do have an oven thermometer. But for some reason the macarons turn out much better at a lower temperature in my oven. I baked them at 110 degree Celsius and it worked perfectly! Also, I recently tried your Nutella brownies recipe and it turned out to be amazing! :) My family loved it! Hi Kiran, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 - 4 days. They don't go soggy but they do get more flavourful on Day 2

Hi Smitha, so happy to hear that!!!! 💗 To avoid the hollows you could try beating the aquafaba for a lesser time or check what time you get stiff peaks at, so instead of 10 minutes + 2 minutes at hight speed, you could try at 10 minutes itself to test if the stiff peaks have formed and then stop . Alternatively, I've also created a new video on making macarons with canned chickpea liquid and it cuts the whipping time in half, that may help you more. You can keep the liquid uncovered in the fridge and use within 3 days. (I find that if you wrap the bowl with cling wrap or store in air tight container, it forms water droplets which affects the consistency of the aquafaba and then it doesn't whip to stiff peaks. I hope this helps! 🥰

I'd highly recommend it, my oven's calibration is a bit messy so it always heats up by 30 degrees more than what the dial shows. It was my first successful batch of eggless Macarons and I was super thrilled to see the results 😊
And Yes, I do have an oven thermometer. But for some reason the macarons turn out much better at a lower temperature in my oven. I baked them at 110 degree Celsius and it worked perfectly!

Hi Kiran, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 - 4 days. They don't go soggy but they do get more flavourful on Day 2

Hi Smitha, so happy to hear that!!!! 💗 To avoid the hollows you could try beating the aquafaba for a lesser time or check what time you get stiff peaks at, so instead of 10 minutes + 2 minutes at hight speed, you could try at 10 minutes itself to test if the stiff peaks have formed and then stop . Alternatively, I've also created a new video on making macarons with canned chickpea liquid and it cuts the whipping time in half, that may help you more. You can keep the liquid uncovered in the fridge and use within 3 days. (I find that if you wrap the bowl with cling wrap or store in air tight container, it forms water droplets which affects the consistency of the aquafaba and then it doesn't whip to stiff peaks. I hope this helps! 🥰
