You are a great teacher. You explained this so well I am struggling with back post double crochet, so I will try and review this again. I like it though, because I knit, and I do knit purl ribbing all the time and I was wondering how to get that look with crochet.
Thanks for the information. After crocheting for 60 plus years I learned something. I had never heard of the 3rd loop. I like to use alternating front and back loops to make a ribbing like for a hat. The front and back loops make a beautiful afghan. The back loops also are nice for shaping in agronomy.
🙋♀️ Sara, Rosie, and crochet family . I loved your intro! That was great! ❤ thank you for doing this video. I sometimes like to crochet in the third Loop because it gives it a really cool look to your project
@lindadollar you're doing fine by putting your hook thru both loops. If you look from above it'll look like some little v's. Try a little swatch and put your hook thru the back loop only and see how you like it. It'll give texture and somewhat of a ribbed effect. Don't be afraid to try anything you'd like. There's no right or wrong way. It's all about preference and what we like. Hope this helps.
Hi Sara!
I like the front & back loop stitches. Thanks for the different techniques.😊🌹

That was a good video. There is so many ways out there to connect granny squares together. Maybe you could do a video on the best way you do it?
I have several of those, look in the My TH-cam Granny square Playlist
❤yes I do all the stitches that my grandma though me the same you do 😂 thanks have a wonderful day

When you crochet to the 2nd or 3rd row where do you put your hook? I'm self taught, I usually put my hook under the two loops
Are You referring to Spike Stitches? That would depend on the pattern.

I've used most of those stitches but not the third loop on a double crochet
