I worked with a bird rehab center for native birds. Sadly, we took on many surrendered parrots that needed to be retrained and re-homing. Some we used in our educational programs to talk about parrot ownership. People don't understand the time & devotion it takes to raise a good parrot. As you know, they are VERY time consuming w/ attention, love& care. Then add the mess, destruction noise and that your parrot will live 30 to 100 yrs depending on breed. On top of that, they may not like you, or men or dogs or cats! They are picky about their families! I could go on. Buster is lucky to have a great family he loves and loves him back!
I just love when cockatoos ramble on about everything because of course, they know what's best.

The way buster loves his dad is unbelievable he is so smar wanting to be with Dad all the time shows that they're bond is unbelievable.
With Buster and what looks to be at least five dogs, you have such a happy house! Poor Buster is bereft without Dad around. He is really deeply bonded to him! Buster is a super bird companion.
