    The Colour is unbelievable! Usually the Process leaves the image looking flat and not at all convincing. These look like they were MADE IN COLOUR.

      You are so right! I seen how they colorized Gilligan's Island, The 3 Stooges, Laurel & Hardy and others. Talk about flat pastel colors! 🤢

      They usually use AI for colourisation, though with this one I believe it's been done by hand, quite some time ago, before anyone had even heard of AI

    Colorisation has really come on over the years. This is going to be good. Shame my father isn’t alive to see this. He loved these two shows.

    My GOODNESS the colour is STUNNING, if you had shown this to me without me having any prior knowledge of the two shows and said that they were filmed in colour initially, i’d believe you, it looks THAT GOOD

    FIREBALL XL5 was always my favourite GA series. As a kid, I always imagined the crew and the THUNDERBIRDS' Tracy brothers working together!

    Back in 1965 my brother got a super car for Christmas. In 1962 I got a fire ball xl- 5 set for christmas.

      I got one for my birthday and one for Christmas. Both are in December. When I got older my mother gave them away.

    Absolutely outstanding. Often shows shot for B&W don't translate with the same sense if entertainment but these are true improvements to the experience. Bravo. Well done!

    This is how it looked to me when I watched “Super Car”at 6 years old. It seemed like it was in color it was so exciting to me.

    Fabulous....this is seriously impressive. For some strange reason, I suddenly feel younger now that Fireball XL5 has some colour to it. Shame the same can't be said of my hair ;-)

    This is totally spooky, but in a good way - My favourite programme as a youngster, but on a 17" 405 line TV, it left quite a bit to the imagination, but seeing this, it looks as if it was made yesterday!

    Outstanding! I was a huge Supermarionation fan as a kid, from Four Feather Falls onward. My dad had a woodworking business in Slough, Buckinghamshire, and made a lot of the special tables that the sets for the various series were constructed and filmed on.

    Absolutely loved Supercar- my introduction to the Gerry Anderson series. There's a photo of me aged around 5/6 holding a plastic model of Supercar. Great memories.

    Absolutely brilliant, I have seen some colourisation of Fireball XL5 on Blu Rey in HD but not Supercar. Breathes new life into the classics and I echo others in that it would be fantastic to colourise both series but doubt that will happen as cost would be prohibitive. Great to see what could be and maybe one day…….. Neil

    Fireball XL5 is a series I would love to see get a DVD or BluRay release with them in full colour!
    I've never seen Supercar though.
    I have other series Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet.

    They both look like they were shot in colour rather than being colourised - colourising techniques really have come a long way.

    Strange, I know these were all B&W (didn't have a colour telly until mid 70's as I had a mean old man!) but I feel as though they always were in colour. Might have been the copious amounts of comics I bought that did it. Great stuff. Got here looking for Supercar, them were the days!

    They certainly refined their techniques by the time they filmed Captain Scarlet. (My favorite!)
    The colorization was absolutely stunning.
    "SPIDERS!"

      By the time they got to Captain Scarlet, budgets had got bigger and technology improved (hence why heads became more in scale with the bodies!). The concept of puppet animation films had become proven, so became less primitive. I drove Sylvia Anderson a fair bit in her final years, and we had some WONDERFUL conversations in that time...!

    Great colour. Always loved that fact that the port engine switch fired the outboard engines and the starboard switch fired the inboard engines.

    Super car. My favorite after school show, 1963-1964. XL5 was Saturday mornings, 1964 and did not compete well with other offerings at the same time.

    Ah, those were the days.
    I was so glued to the screen that my Dad wanted to switch it off.
    And I never wondered...
    Who paid for Supercar?
    Why didn't Popkiss and Beaker try to market it?
    How did the canopy close?
    How did the gravity on XL5 work?
    How did it reach so many planets without a warp engine?
    How did oxygen pills prevent excruciatingly painful death by explosive decompression, freezing and radiation sickness.
    But....
    Who cared?
