- In this video, I will show you how I make/decorate a bed. I skipped showing the fitted sheet/flat sheet and focused more on the decorative aspects of making a bed such as different kinds of pillows, and ways of placing decorative blankets.

It looks nice, however, I have a problem with the quilt. I would have placed the quilt over the top sheet and layered those back. Then I would have folded the duvet at the end of the bed. This is the order I’ve seen in other videos.
When you go to get in bed you now have to move the quilt. But ordering it with the quilt first allows you to get in bed and if you’re still cold with just the quilt then you can pull up the duvet. I’m trying to convince my wife to get euro pillows because I like them for sitting up in bed. I also like the height it gives.
I do like the idea of rolling a textured throw instead of a rolled pillow.

Hold up all the pillows on the bed are not for use? So where do they go at night? And the ones to the side are the only ones I can use where do those go during the day? This seems like such a hassel in kids bedrooms....but maybe ok for the master bedroom.

I looked this up and found what seemed like a gazillion of these I love the look but do people sleep with all these and euro pillows?could you do a showing of how one gets into these pillow stuffed beds and sleeps?

All of the pillows shown on this bed are decorative. This video is showing how you can make a bed in a decorative way. When flipping through magazines or searching on Pinterest, you will notice that most of the beds are covered in a variety of pillows, blankets, and other decorative bedding to give them a plush, cozy look that is full of texture & dimension. It may seem silly to have all of these added embellishments, but really, it is no different than other accents used to decorate homes such as stationary faux shutters on exterior windows, decorative trims, or other non essential items that are simply there to add to the aesthetic look rather than the functionality of a design. I decorate all of the beds in our home this way because I just like the cozy look it gives to the rooms, and guest beds like this one, are used very little so it is nice to have it look a little more decorative every day. As to how to get into a bed decorated with extra pillows, simply, the pillows are stacked either off to the side or are placed in a closet & regular sleeping pillows with pillow cases are placed on the bed. :)

I've always just used a fitted and flat sheet, 2 sleeping pillows and 2 decorative cushions. I live in a tropical climate though so I don't need all those blankets and stuff cause it's hot here for almost the entire year.
Hi itz Sheena, I'm sure different climates would need different bedding set types, you're right! Where I am, it can get - 20 or even cooler in the winter months - then I would even say to add an electric blanket lol :)

Thanks! For a twin size bed, you could use a standard pillow (in a case) with a standard pillow (in a decorative sham that coordinates with the bedspread) in front of that with a few throw pillows or one throw pillow with a rolled up blanket. I usually like to have three layers of pillows - especially for twin size beds because they can look really long. Having a blanket across the end (like in the video) also helps tone down the long look of the bed. :)

Where do you get the great music you use in your videos?
Hi Barbara, I use music from the TH-cam Audio Library. I usually search in the "attribution not required" section because the other music in the library was giving me copyright issues sometimes (even when I put everything I needed to in the description ). Takes a little hunting, but there is some good music in there! :)

Do u use a foundation under a mattress so how do we hide this
This bed is actually a platform bed so it doesn't have a box spring under the mattress. For beds that do have a box spring & mattress - I make them the same way. The bedding should cover the box spring & mattress if it is the right size. Some bedding sets are smaller than others and are made more for Full size beds than Queen. I haven't ever used dust ruffles around the bed because I think of them as spider ramps lol. As long as your bedding set is appropriate sized and large enough to cover the box spring and mattress - I think that is all you need :)

A proper madeup bed can make up the look of any ordinary room and poorly organized pillows and throws or whatever on your bed can break the look of even the most expensive bought beds or infact the whole room
