Same here when we started our first band in the 90s. We had a few originals and did Pantera Metallica a Slayer covers…good times glad to see the young cats still appreciate good music
@@murphykakeewayyet you sre here watching this video they have every right to do this.they have wanted to for yewre years but vinnie wasnt having it .i cant blame vinnie , he saw his brother murdered and he needed someone to blame so phil was that guy because of the fighting between the 2 camps at the time of Darrells death. Darrel's girlfriend said that he eas planning on making amends with Phil before he was killed .so leave the personal beef alone, it is not your fight .
Good on phil and good for hunter. Music saved phil from the streets like many ogs he has an obligation to lace the youngsters. Real recognize real as they say.. Dimes proud of this for sure.
One gets humble when you listen to Charlie playing drums that way. His double bass is as powerful and brutal as Vinnie's. I saw Pantera live in 1993, which means that I'm trying to be as objective as possible. As a conclusion, I would like to add that Charlie's talent goes beyond borders, and without a doubt, it can be compared to Vinnie's.
your individual talent is one thing.. but your ability to put amazing beats in songs.. vinnie's off time drum work is so perfect for the music Pantera was writing. you even hear people like chris adler, use it in Lamb of God. charlie isnt a bad drummer, by any stretch of the imagination. but is he vinnie paul? nah. vinnie is ruthless. just like dime. a nasty combo that we rarely get to see.
@@GonnaGetYouBoi I agree with you, Vinnie was astounding! But with the previous comment I made, I just pretended to show respect for Charlie. As I said before, I saw Pantera live, so I know how well Vinnie could play.
I got as much hair on my head as anyone reading this has on their toenails, this guy gets enough to safe guard someone without a parachute falling from the clouds. If there is a heaven and i get there , questions will be asked
Seemed a bit weird playing The Smiths / Morrissey when the lights went on at the end. Surely they could have come up with a more metal friendly 'the end' song?
The song is “How Soon is Now”I saw an interview with Phil and the interviewer asked him what he likes besides metal. And one of his answers was The Smiths.
@@RY30DM I didn't know that. Thanks for clarifying. I'm very familiar with the song and quite like some of The Smiths stuff, just thought it sounded a bit out of place.
Probably. I worked as an usher for Cirque du Soleil in ‘03, and we had to keep it on the down low that there was an audience plant who popped.up on the stage in one of the acts.
@@hermunkulus It's a cash grab and I can't totally blame them because it is the music BUSINESS and they want to make money, I get that. Personally, I just wish they would have toured under a different name because I would like to see them go all in and release new music but a large majority of the fans do not want them to write and release new music under the Pantera name. They would still be selling out venues if they were promoting the band under a different name other than Pantera, sort of like what Black Sabbath did with Heaven & Hell. They should've named the band Cowboys From Hell.
@@LeadMe2TheBlissThey didn't have any choice as Sharon owned the rights to the Black Sabbath name. That is why they had to call themselves Heaven & Hell.
@@LeadMe2TheBlissI mean dude at the end of the day does it really matter if it says pantera behind them or cowboys from hell? I think people overthink all this stuff a little too much. They definately did the name justice and are doing a great job keeping the memory alive! Some of us didn't get a chance to see them back in the day. I was 18 when they played their last show and I was a big fan then too just never got to see em. You don't know it's gonna be the last show until later on looking back.

Hunter seems like the guy you don't wanna have right in front of you at a concert 😄
He is tall and has a lot of hair
So glad to see Phil as happy, healthy and as on top of his game as he has ever been. Proud he rose above both his ego and his struggles.

If he and Rex had any respect for Vinnie and Dime . This tour would ve nvr happened . Call the song "Fucking Sell-outs"

I was waiting for someone to catch onto that I was really nervous
@@Hunter.mp06 Not nerves, that was just Pantera Power coursing through your veins. It's a wonder you didn't spontaneously combust😅
Before I clicked I was like wow he's got Dimes young smile and all!
I love how all of them, Zakk the most, stared at him for so long
I'm surprised he at least didn't go over and say hi to Zakk especially since he was wearing a Zakk Sabbath shirt and maybe ask for a pick....
He looks really nervous man i think if he got close to Zakk he would pass 😂
dude I was there. My life has changed for the better after that concert. Cant say the same about my ability to hear though lol
Jesus CHRIST that’s so exciting, how is he so calm?
I saw them in Michigan. Phil sounded great. He sounded much better than when I saw them in the early 2000's.
Reminds me of the kid they brought on stage in the 90’s to do a ‘high note singing’ demonstration/contest
This Was On My Bucket List Glad We Got To Make This Show in Baltimore MD \m/ #Pantera4Life

Rex looking at this kid like hell fucking yeah it's like a young dime all over again.
How cool is that !!

Vinnie himself said that this shouldn't happen. Kinda convenient that it did happen not long after he passed....
