I don’t know how you persevered. I don’t think many would. You are a rare individual, with much inner strength and kindness. I would say, Perhaps you have a fearless quality. The Bible says, “There is no fear in love, for perfect love casts out fear.” (I have always appreciated the Bible statements regarding love; they are not flimsy or ephemeral.) Anyway. You have changed Ui’s fate. Please always remember, many years from now, you saved an animal that had lost hope and restored her hope, her peace, her gladness. Right! A lot of people say it’s easy having a pet, but it’s really not. I don’t have any but when it comes to an otter, it’s hard. Especially the bites, like holy shit! The owner is doing a good job taking care of both of them, even the cat.

July 15, 2021. I've been watching about the Otters for around 2 months. I heard there was difficulty with Ui, but didn't know more. Someone in the comment section referred me to this video. What a rough start that was with Ui. I can't believe how often Otterman got bit by Ui and everywhere. I would have given up and given the Otter away. What an extensively kind man to endure suffering himself in order to save an Otter. Blessings to Otterman. I hope that Ui feels grateful. 🙏 💕 💖 From the USA 🇺🇸

BUT, while most Otter species ARE Endangered, Asian Small-Claws are "only" Vulnerable for now. That was still enough to put them on the ban-list for international trade -- a law that Otterman vocally supports.

Mr. Cat is the God of chill. I bet when they first met, she looked at him and prepared to attack. His eyes ggot big and his loud purring started. Ui was instantly under his spell of chill.
Daddy O, my dog bitten me quite few times and I went to hospital a few times too. But he was a badly abused dog since puppy, and we rescued him before people put him to death. I certainly had my down days after bitten, but we never gave up on him. So, I know the pain after bitten first hand. Hope Ui count her blessings and embrace a new life with love and trust with you, Aty and Mr Cat. Cheers to the Boys!
The people at Noro Lodge played a very large part in Ui’s rehabilitation. Without their help this would have been very hard for Otterman to achieve given the timing of his broken ankle. They are very kind people.

I was thinking the same thing. Ui has _serious_ Otter-PTSD from whatever happened to her as a baby and there's still a chance something could trigger her to snap again. Otterman breaking his ankle at Noro Lodge and having to be in hospital caused her to regress, though the fact that _many humans_ have been kind to her since her rescue likely helped her get back on track more quickly. Ui avoids Mr Cat and Aty can deal, but Otterman is still at risk.
I am totally agree with Watson and Soufriere. I am sure that taking Ui to the river and keeping her in touch with the nature are important and essential steps to continue her rehabilitation process. However, as Watson said, please Otterman, don´t let your guard down and prepare yourself for possible bad experiences as well outside of your house in the future. I was also thinking in the same things that Soufriere said, there´s still a chance of something could trigger her to snap again. In the episode of the hospital, luckily the Noro Lodge ‘staff was safe because Ui was inside of its cage when it became a violent otter again. I will be sincere with you, Otterman, I can´t rule out the probability of Ui otter loses its control again but in the situation that it is outside of its cage, e.g. when it was walking in public areas or swimming in rivers with other people or animals. Otterman, you will need to be prepared and know how to act if something like that happens in the future. Please, take care yourself and don´t let your guard down! I am really praying that nothing bad happen with you, Aty, Mr Cat, Ui and all people or animals around. I really hope that Ui otter can recover itself as soon as possible with many happy moments! Otterman, your great patience has paid off. Most people I believe would have given up after the first bite, but you and Aty and Mr. Cat did not stop showing UI the love and respect she deserved. So very cool. Incredible patience won the day. One of my cats, sadly now passed, was a rescue and had a terrible time as a kitten. Got her at 8 weeks and it took 7 years, but eventually she learned to trust me absolutely and became a wonderful, affectionate and secure cat, no longer scared of people. Consistency is key. And if the animal sees you treat your other pets well, they learn it's okay. It is one of the best feelings in the world to gain the love of a formerly mistreated animal. Otterman, I look forward to seeing the journey for Ui. You're awesome ✌❤🇬🇧

Same here. I'm owned by my beloved previously traumatized tomcat Leon who now follows me around wherever I go, purring arias on my chest, making my heart sing with him. Update December 2024 here, from the first video I felt in love with little Ui and capitain Aty, since them I've being bing watching, and learned the story and difficult beginnings of Ui, it's amazing what love can achieve, if otterman knew all we know now he wouldn't believe himself!!!! I'm completely in love with that little brave princess, I relate to her story and I admire her and the whole orter family. Thanks for all the joy u gave me every day... oh! spoiler alert... now Ui is such a better swimer than Aty!!! ❤

ペットホテルに置き去りにされた猫を引き取ったことがあります。その子もやはり凶暴でした。先住猫も私も苦労して、慣れて数年経ってもやはりどこか不安定でしたが、亡くなるまで一緒にいました。人間だってネグレクトされたら人が信じられなくなるでしょう。そういう事なのだと思います。苦労はしてもきっとUi はオッターマン家族を幸せにしてくれるはず。ウチの猫がそうでしたから
ういちゃんがどれだけつらく苦しい思いをしてきたのか、どれだけ不安で傷ついていたのか、考えると苦しくて胸がしめつけられます。ういちゃんは噛むことで一生懸命自分の身を守っていたんだね。がんばって必死で生きてきたんだね。ういちゃんにそうさせてしまったのは私たちにんげん。ごめんなさい。オッターマンさんういちゃんを幸せな温かな場所へ連れ出してくださってありがとうございます✨
長い間時間をかけて少しずつ心を開いていったういちゃん。オッターマンさんが入院なさってまたひとりぼっちになったと…ストレスから傷だらけになった小さな小さな手。涙が止まりません。だけどスタッフさんが毎日ういちゃんに話かけてういちゃんもそれに応えるかのように穏やかなお顔に。オッターマンさんやスタッフさんの溢れる変わらない愛情で凍った心が溶けだすように…お外で太陽の光を浴びながらケージの中のハンモックに乗ったういちゃんがピッピッて言いながらカワウソさんらしくお水の中に入ろうとする姿に涙で前が見えなくなりました。人の勝手で傷つけたのにういちゃんはまた人を受け入れてくれたんだね。
ノーザンみしまのオーナーさんのお優しさロッジのオーナーさんスタッフのみなさんの温かさそしてういちゃんと共に生きていくオッターマンさんの覚悟と強さ。ういちゃんに伝わってよかった。

Out of all the otters i've seen, Aty is the cutest. He really looks like a toy doll. Like an otter teddy bear. His personality is so adorable too.

Mr. Cat is the God of chill. I bet when they first met, she looked at him and prepared to attack. His eyes ggot big and his loud purring started. Ui was instantly under his spell of chill.

Daddy O, my dog bitten me quite few times and I went to hospital a few times too. But he was a badly abused dog since puppy, and we rescued him before people put him to death. I certainly had my down days after bitten, but we never gave up on him. So, I know the pain after bitten first hand. Hope Ui count her blessings and embrace a new life with love and trust with you, Aty and Mr Cat. Cheers to the Boys!
The people at Noro Lodge played a very large part in Ui’s rehabilitation. Without their help this would have been very hard for Otterman to achieve given the timing of his broken ankle. They are very kind people.

パパさんの骨折により大変な事が沢山あったけど、それにより野呂ロッジに長期の滞在をし「ういちゃん」が心を開いてくれるきっかけ作りが出来た。
昨日の動画ではパパさんアティにゃん先輩のおかげと思っていましたが、三島のオーナーさんや野呂ロッジのスタッフさんの愛があったのですね❤️どんな子でも愛情を持って受け入れるって人間にも言えますが素晴らしい事ですよね✨自分の人生に改めて気付かされました。ますますパパさん好きになりました❗野呂ロッジのスタッフさんも素晴らしい方々なんですね。本当涙が出てきます…これからも投稿を楽しみにしています🎵

You are an amazingly determined and compassionate Otter Man Otterman. I wish you, Ui, Aty and Mr Cat, a long and happy life together. But please don't let your guard down. Ui has obviously been terribly traumatized at some point, by humans.And even a sweet little female Otter can have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, just like human beings. Take care and good luck. I was thinking the same thing. Ui has _serious_ Otter-PTSD from whatever happened to her as a baby and there's still a chance something could trigger her to snap again. Otterman breaking his ankle at Noro Lodge and having to be in hospital caused her to regress, though the fact that _many humans_ have been kind to her since her rescue likely helped her get back on track more quickly. Ui avoids Mr Cat and Aty can deal, but Otterman is still at risk.
I am totally agree with Watson and Soufriere. I am sure that taking Ui to the river and keeping her in touch with the nature are important and essential steps to continue her rehabilitation process. However, as Watson said, please Otterman, don´t let your guard down and prepare yourself for possible bad experiences as well outside of your house in the future. I was also thinking in the same things that Soufriere said, there´s still a chance of something could trigger her to snap again. In the episode of the hospital, luckily the Noro Lodge ‘staff was safe because Ui was inside of its cage when it became a violent otter again. I will be sincere with you, Otterman, I can´t rule out the probability of Ui otter loses its control again but in the situation that it is outside of its cage, e.g. when it was walking in public areas or swimming in rivers with other people or animals. Otterman, you will need to be prepared and know how to act if something like that happens in the future. Please, take care yourself and don´t let your guard down! I am really praying that nothing bad happen with you, Aty, Mr Cat, Ui and all people or animals around. I really hope that Ui otter can recover itself as soon as possible with many happy moments! Thank you for taking care of Ui otter, Otterman! Love your videos and your work with otters!

Otterman, your great patience has paid off. Most people I believe would have given up after the first bite, but you and Aty and Mr. Cat did not stop showing UI the love and respect she deserved. Your love for animals and certainly for Otters, is such an amazing gift, because you have Ui's love and trust to show for it, and now a beautiful family of 4. So very cool. Incredible patience won the day. One of my cats, sadly now passed, was a rescue and had a terrible time as a kitten. Got her at 8 weeks and it took 7 years, but eventually she learned to trust me absolutely and became a wonderful, affectionate and secure cat, no longer scared of people. Consistency is key. And if the animal sees you treat your other pets well, they learn it's okay. It is one of the best feelings in the world to gain the love of a formerly mistreated animal. Otterman, I look forward to seeing the journey for Ui. You're awesome ✌❤🇬🇧

Same here. I'm owned by my beloved previously traumatized tomcat Leon who now follows me around wherever I go, purring arias on my chest, making my heart sing with him. What a wonderful thing to watch these fellow beings open up and trust and love again. Thanks, dear Otterman, for showing this so courageously and perfectly!

December 2024 here, from the first video I felt in love with little Ui and capitain Aty, since them I've being bing watching, and learned the story and difficult beginnings of Ui, it's amazing what love can achieve, if otterman knew all we know now he wouldn't believe himself!!!! I'm completely in love with that little brave princess, I relate to her story and I admire her and the whole orter family. Thanks for all the joy u gave me every day... oh! spoiler alert... now Ui is such a better swimer than Aty!!! ❤
