Thank you for all your videos some of us may not do comments but I guarantee you we do look at them !!!wow so look at the timing chain tensioner the space that is expanding or gotten out. thank you I have 4 Cars thank you so much
@@Top5AutoRepairshi, I just put all new timing components in my 2014 ford explorer 3.5. Runs somewhat well, but throwing a code of p0018. I replaced phazers tensioner, guides, chains. I know I onstalled the chain according to marks. Could it have jumped during initial start up? I had no codes prior.
I have a 2014 Maserati Ghibli and I replaced all of that and even changed the cam sensors and crank sensor and I’m still getting those codes. But, the car runs very good. No shaking or low power surge.
Great videos...thank you! I have a question regarding chain tensioner, when you say push it in, and moves inward etc. Is that with oil inside or not? When there is oil inside it doesn't (would not) move or depress. Your example is without oil inside i take it...but wouldn't the tensioner be able to depress if tensioner is good or bad?
Great video !!! pretty much explains why I am getting a P00180 ! VVT solenoid check OK resistance wise, 12v to it, 2 camshaft position sensor new, 5v to them, crankshaft also gets 5v, resistance seems OK, did a seafoam treatment, changed the oil, still getting a P00180...Audi A8L with 4.0TT says not to go over 4000 RPM, but below that, car drives like new !!! very little rough idle, all the power is there, turbo kicks in...I am worried this points to a timing issue with either tensionners or a stretched chain...thoughts ?
I have 2018 nissan murano with lots of code need some advice and the car was in a wreck before but sometimes it drives like nothing happened and pretty much all the time with shaking and vibration P0018 P0019 p0022 p0024 p0025 U1000 U1001 p1568 p0300 p17f0 etc

Thank you for your knowledge, good sir.
Also since bad oil causes these problems w hydraulic variable timing chains, can fresh oil and possibly thicker oil ever make the code go away?

Probably crazy but can I just get an aftermarket tensioner which would have more movement?
Herbert...pay attention ! Class is in session..
So technically my engine is messed up, and I have to spend $1000’s to fix it 🤦🏿♂️
