Not ranking silk because i haven't heard these tracks yet. I decided to try giving Silk a shot in 2023 because there are a lot of nice tracks that flew over my head, so i may rank Silk releases in the future. The only Silk remix that caught my attention at the moment is the Other Side remix. I forgot how much I like Trance, and this one sounds amazing. I'm definitely going to listen to it fully later. 14. It's nice, it's vibey. Not much to say. 13. - 12. This VIP genuinely pisses me off. It has the similar problem as Take It Away with the same drum pattern copy and pasted over and over again, but in this case it's way worse. It doesn't have any emotion for me in comparison to the original, nor it's a pleasant listen. Also I dislike these "woah-oh-oh" in the drops. 11. It's fine. I enjoy the bass-y parts in the drops, but after that it changes into a boring and bland DnB. Not terrible, but it''s not great. I prefer the original way more. 10. I like it. I wasn't the hugest fan of the original like most of the community, so this remix is more enjoyable to me. It's very energetic and fun to listen. 9. - 8. On the first listen I really enjoyed it, but after a couple more it already started to already feel boring (same thing with Agonize). I like the overall theming of this song, but for some weird reason the whole song bores me (except from the beginning of the first drop, this one goes hard). 7. - 6. - 5. Eh, It has some interesting sounds used, but I feel like it's a little too screechy to me. It may grow on me in the future, but for now I don't feel much about it. 4. This remix is an absolute BANGER. Afraid of the Dark is personally my favourite from KUURO's more poppy and beginner-friendly tracks, and this remix takes it on way another level. Such an insanely fun track, and the second drop is just insane. Easily my favourite Monstercat remix of 2022. 3. This one is also really good and fun. Not as good at the previous one, but still pretty solid. 2, It's very rare to me that I enjoy the acoustic version of an already existing song, but this is easily my favourite acoustic on this label. I loved the original 2hard2letgo, and I also loved helloworld's vocal performance, which here it's even better. Also I like that he added some extra lyrics to it, it feels more fresh. Of course nothing beats the original's impactfulness and glitchy production, but it's still a very nice acoustic. 1. Bad Computer doing Bad Computer stuff. Don't really know what to say, this one is a jam.
I feel you! Silk is noce if you're in a chill mood mostly. Like when you're sitting and gazing at the beach, or when you're IN the beach with friends or sth.
14. No strong opinions about this one 13. I have AGGRESSIVELY cut down on Silk after summer! The reason is because it's a type of music that's better for that season, so I just skipped the whole month 12. Didn't listen to this one either fsr 11. Yeeeah not a fan of this one! 10. Can you next year include also these unfeatured EP songs?
I only do the stuff that gets featured on their TH-cam channels and I save the stuff outside of EPs and LPs for their own separate video
