Lyrics:
I’ve got so much love to give
And there’s nowhere left to hide
You know I’m learning how to live
With these feelings locked inside
I’ve been holding back so long
Hoping no one will ever know
It feels so right it must be wrong
How good it feels just to let it flow
Above these city lights
There’s no need to be afraid
On these warm summer nights
We’ll make the greatest love that was ever made
Let me weave a little magic
Let me show you how to live
Oh baby, can’t you see?
I got so much love to give
When lovers start to play
There’s nothing anyone can do
This wicked world just fades away
And joy comes crashing through
Oh baby, can’t you see I'm just a man?
Is there something special I can do?
Why don’t you let me turn you on?
What I’ve got I give it all to you
Any time and any place
The scent of heaven fills the air
Ooh baby, I can take you into space
Just say the word and I’ll be there
Let me weave a little magic
Let me show you how to live
Oh baby, can’t you see?
I got so much love to give
I got so much love to give
And the more I try to hide
The more I feel I gotta live
Feeling you by my side
I been holding back so long
Hoping no one will ever know
It feels so right it must be wrong
How good it feels just to let it flow
Above these city lights
There’s no need to be afraid
On these warm midsummer nights
We’ll make the greatest love that was ever made
Let me weave a little magic
Let me show you how to live
Oh baby, can’t you see?
I got so much love to give

Very well done indeed
Is there any song that has similar romantic intro like this?
Bad dream baby is one of their best in my opinion.
This song is sublime but what it's name has to do with words? X)
Perhaps, and this is just my take on things, the name is a reference to a sense of romantic servitude. "I've got so much love to give", "Let me weave a little magic", etc. In the literal sense, room service is the function of the concierge, a person in hospitality that is tasked to provide with whatever creature comforts a guest or patron might desire. The character, embodied by the singer's words, seems to me, to be expressing a hidden desire or sense of connection with a mysterious object of desire, in this case, the person they are singing the lyrics to. Hope this helps. Keep going... it's worth it.
@@brettthomas7038 Greetings, Brett! In the video we see an alien woman, who is a head hunter. Then we see Zamboy, singer and possibly someone else. These two characters are or were close. In my opinion the song and the video simply tells us their lovestory.
@@dimilodefiler6790 I was going more for the Gestalt interpretation. The fact that they are or were close gives even more depth to Zamboy's words, as it frames their desire for romance and connection even more palpable. The video is quite the rollercoaster, btw, so I get that. You could transpose the pathos of this song onto the romantic story line of almost any '80s romcom, or even "BloodSport", for that matter. People just want to be loved and accepted for who they are, not for what they can provide, sometimes. We've made existence in this ...place so conditional it sometimes feels that wanting to be happy is an imposition. As an enlightened society, you would think that mindset would have matured beyond the need for quid pro quo en amoram, but alas, we have light years to go.
@@brettthomas7038Only September 87 can make romantic story this enigmatic! Maybe it is an obstacle for them to be more popular. But I adore them anyway.
