Just a note for myself/My variation:
During the "guessing" of the four cards, slide the top card (spectators card) down at the bottom. When done, place the four cards on top for your deck and hand the spectator the other one. Let him shuffle the deck and explain, that he should turn over cards and with that "guess" their card, or almost guess their card. Leave maybe 3 possible cards and then ask the spectator to turn over the last card, which is going to be used as a number (Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13, Ace = 1). With their card at the bottom use the gilde(?) to hold back their card and count the number which was randomly choosen. At last their card appears at the exact number. "So your card, the [NAME OF THE CARD], is at the [NUMBER]"
    Just a variation, I don't want to forget :)
    Very cool effect!

Awesome trick buddy 🧙‍♂️👍🃏 oddly my key car was the king of hearts twice while learning this lol I'm a career for my old man so try to learn a trick once a week to show him on a Friday and its like our little tradition now haha he always insists on shuffling the cards first (the old git doesn't trust me 🙄😇🤣 but I prefer borrowed deck tricks anyway lol) so thank you honestly buddy for your videos 👍🧙‍♂️😘 what is your favourite/best borrowed deck trick you've done a tutorial on tho? If i haven't already seen it it'll be the next one I learn 👍

Oh, dude! A variant of this 8-card shuffle is the feature of my Tarot act. Once you understand the underlying math (group theory, or merge sort from compsci), you can use 8 spectators, and after 3 deals, you can tell each one the location of their chosen card. Since you only tell them the location, you never, ever have to touch the deck and the cards can be be anything. The deck can be brand new and sealed. I charge enough for a performance that I can give them a selection of brand new decks and they can take it with them.
I locate their card by having them draw another card from the remaining deck that I interpret with a word with the same number of letters as the card's position. Developing this part took me two years and a shredded thesaurus.
I will have to dig out my grimoire, but I believe you can do the same trick with 16 cards and 4 shuffles, however for more than two spectators, it involves imagining a 4-dimensional cube, a bit more difficult than solving a Rubik's cube in your head.
If you can deal with this level of memorization and mental calculation, check Percy Draconis's book.
    (:

Well, those are the mechanics anyway. From their perspective, I am doing "actual" Tarot predictions. My ethics here is if they pay, then they know up front that it is only a performance. That is why I also love free performances that would be illegal if I charged or took tips. That is when the REAL magic happens.
      (:

let's see how good you actually are at spoting a Lie.
I like this card trick - truth or lie?
I think this trick is too easy to figure out - truth or lie?
I've seen another more advanced and cool version of this trick - Truth or lie?
Everything i just said was a lie - Truth or lie?
    *Good Luck* 😂

No it's not. The secret is really quick and simple, the rest is about presentation. I'd say the effect is easier with a marked deck at the part where you ask if it's red or black.
