- We're at an arcade that gives physical tickets and with only $30 - what prize can we win and how many tickets can I cash in? I end up winning a record breaking amount for this arcade playing all skill arcade games. I'll then cash in all of my arcade tickets for the best prize at the arcade. This was a new record for arcade jackpots won!

I grew up with my parents owning an arcade for a few years. Those skill-based games have a soft spot in my heart. I love them so much.
Matt, I absolutely dyed from laughter when you started to mess with the robot 🤣🤣 and it said “Wow, touch my head again” and your comments had me 💀. Much love brotha!

My local bowling alley has the SpongeBob Jellyfish game and I found the strike point on my first try, so I proceeded to hit 125 another 16 times. My wife got mad at me and said I needed to save some for other kids, but I still felt pretty accomplished! 😄

Never went to an arcade as a kid since there are basically none here in Germany. On a vacation in poland I found a half outdoor arcade and they had some cool games, most of them were paying very low ticket amounts but the digital quickdrop had a huge bonus every time 😂 Never wanted to get someting but it was just to satisfying, had to tell the dude that worked there to fill up the machine ^^

By now there is one in Bremen (Not really worth it) and a nice one in Berlin. We might be getting there...
I saw the SpongeBob jellyfishing game at xscape in MOA and that was the only arcade that I saw that game at. I didn’t bother playing it because the jackpot is low and I only played ticket dome and Hotwheels king of the road in xscape.

I was pretty excited to see a Lucky and Wild game next to the Bass Pro. I haven't played that in years. Some of these remaining coin op arcades have some real gems.

Think Matt should come to Michigan. I know that he would love the arcade museum here in Farmington Hills Michigan. Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. They have just one amazing bunch of games. Old old games to some new games. Even a nice selection of coin games.
Love the 'Big Rigs' coin game, I remember way back when D&B had a coin section. Anyone remember the name of similar coin game that was more vertical and a train was going around at the bottom of the coin slots with carts that had dump slots that acted the same way as the dump lever here does? Used to be addicted to that thing.
Claim Jumper is the game!! My #1 childhood game besides Big Haul - That game is so hard to find now but I took a really old arcade when I was little for so many tickets on that!!
I grew up going to this mall! I love the dump truck game. My uncle used to take my siblings and cousin there all the time! Very nostalgic for me.
Same, I remember when the arcade was in another spot by Sears or whatever.
I miss the old school token / coin skill games. Most the arcades in my area got rid of all these older machines for the newer stuff thats found at most D&Bs. It was a simpler time back then playing these games and hitting jackpots with 1 token

That dump truck token game defintiely brings back memories. I think I always aimed for the bonus slots as a kid rather than the dump levers and probably never hit any of them. But physically pushing the coin into the machine rather than hitting a button to release a coin definitely has a different feel, you can completely change the amount of force you insert it at. That one and I think one that was like a ski jump type of thing were my favorites. The convenience of all the tickets on a swipe card is really nice, but you can't beat showing off a huge physical pile of tickets to your friends as a kid, and the anticipation of everyone feeding them into the counting machine end of the day to see who actually got the most when you couldn't easily just swipe a card to see the count.
i don't know that I ever hit the bonus slot haha

I do like the old school ticket games, I REALLY wish that they brought that back, as it used to be so fun to collect tickets and watch a machine eat them all up, although I guess that electronic card machines are environmentally friendly, ticket games were much more fun.

A $60 cup holder! What a prize. It also asks you to pet it head and give it money...and dance with it. The more I think about it, that might not be the best prize.
I remember playing Big Haul when I was a kid in Las Vegas at a casino arcade area, I wanna say nearly 20 years ago now, that is one of my favorite arcade games that I originally played, coin pushers are also a favorite of mine, I quite like the new ones they have these days with the cards among other things. I did end up building my own full size regular coin pusher but it hasn't been used in years. I intend on making a small desktop version to keep in my house. I will say my most favorite arcade type game if you can call it that, are the claw machines, ever since I won a small 8 ball bouncy ball in a miniature one when I was about 6 I was hooked for life I plan to buy my own eventually.
I've commented before about how cool it is to find a TH-camr who's also from Pittsburgh but now it's getting surreal. It's the same feeling I got during that Kitchen Nightmares episode in Beaver. I know exactly where you were in this video because I've been there many times in my life, even recently. Spooky.
