Your wife is so adorable. She puts up with so much, and she is so sweet to not complain. You found a beautiful girl to walk with you through this life : ) Party onnnn, both of you! Annnnnnnd, you, my brother, are a rowdy man, perfect for matilda. I wish you both safety and joy and more safety and comfort and lots of money too, as you travel the world. I would like to hear about the scary scenes that yawl experienced when pitching your tent at those random places. What sort of scary stories do you have for us? Snakes? Crocodiles? lizards? And poor matilda haha. Question: do you carry that giant camera with you all the time? Doesn't it seem a bit unnecessary weight wise?
I love it so much that you rescue good food out of the dumster ,RESPECT !😎👍 i don't understand why the danish stores throw so much still good away & don't help the poorest hungry persons with it ? Its so sad, it gives so much hungry poor persons on the earth wich must die every day cos havn't enough to eat, but our stores throw it away without help out as a gift to them🥺😢😥
thank you, you are totally right. it is so sad to see how much food goes to garbage bin all over Europe and we have so so many people who are hungry. this has to change😊
Found your channel today! I'm loving it :) Also nice to hear you say so many good things about Denmark. I have to get out on the roads some more myself. Looking so much forward to following you yourney onwards!
watching this now while quarantining still and a thought occurred to me, like look at all the good food you have found in the dumpster while now people are fighting for supplies and toilet paper, something to think about
Hey - Just stumbled across you channel. I met you guys in Humlebaek where you just had your morning coffee - shortly after your beach-sleepover in Skotterup (I can tell from your video). So glad you are still doing fine (just watched your latest vlog) and in good spirit - now in Africa! I've immidiately subscribed and will follow your adventure with great interest. Rock on...
Thank you Kim! How fun that we have met on the road, the world is small! We miss Denmark, it was absolutely fantastic. All the best to you and greetings from Senegal!
What's wrong with people... This channel do deserve some million subscribers and few more millions views on each video. Let's share this bewildering experience...
Wow...Just out of curiosity do the say anything to you for getting food out of the recycling bins??? I would be scared to do that here in America. Here they would probably criminally charge you even though they are throwing it out!
That depends on the shop owner (and the country of course). Some don't care because it is cheaper for them if they don't need as many bins if people empty some out regularly 😁Some dumpster divers unfortunately leave a mess which obviously is very frustrating for shop owners, or the owners don't like that people aren’t buying as much from them if they take food for free. Most of the time shop workers have seen us they just look the other way, I think most are happy the food is not going to waste.
@@NomadsTrails Thank you so much for your reply. God Bless you guys! Stay safe! It is my dream to ride a bike long distance throughout Europe like you guys did.
Please I have just one silly question , but never mind if you answer me. What are those things you pick up from the rubbish boxes? why do people throw them or what is the story ? can you tell me please????
Hi, that is a very good question, and sorry we are not explaining it better in the video! The shops throw away a lot of food every day, that is too old to be sold or for example if the packaging is damaged. So what we do sometimes is that we go to the back of a shop and see if there is some food that they have thrown away. Because we think this is very wasteful as most of this food is still quite okay, so it would be silly to let it be thrown away and instead go and buy (almost) the same food. Hope this explains it :)
@@NomadsTrails woooow , tthat is really such a good thing to do , if I were in your shoes , as they say I will take every thing to my family and never buy things from the shops hahahahah thanks a lot for answering my question. I am from Iraq and my real name is Thamir bless you dear.
Unfortunately most shops throw away a lot of food every day; if it is past the best before-date, or if the packaging is damaged (which seemed to be the case with the wine). It is sad that edible food (and "unused" packaging) gets thrown away, and many times it isn't even recycled. But when dumpster diving you have to be aware that the food might also have been thrown away because it was actually spoiled or something went wrong in production...
@Virat rc rc not me though. I rode from Cebu City all the way up to bogo city in one day on Cebu island, Philippines. When I found a hotel to sleep in I couldn't sleep all night, I was wired. There were salt crystals on my face.
The adventure on a bicycle seems fantastic to me, but searching the Trash is very degrading, dirty and absolutely dangerous for health. Save before you travel, the more expensive it will cost you to go to the doctor during the journey.
you are eating Dumpster food !!! this what gives this vlog a bad name. i am wondering how a couple have everything for their trip: nice bikes, cameras and a drone and yet they can not bye their food?!!! it would be great idea if you collect dumpster food and give it to the needy one.
Rescuing dumpster food is for us not a question of money but environment. Why would we buy food when there is perfectly good food being wasted every day. Half of the food produced is being thrown away and this is a huge problem especially in Europe and US and it is a big reason our planet is dying. We live on a strict budget, but even if we had all the money in the world we would still prefer to dumpster dive our food. We would like to ask you a counter question: If you think eating food from dumpsters is so stigmatising, then why do you suggest we give it to someone else to eat? Hopefully people become more aware of the issue of wasted food and demand there to be a system to redistribute rather than throw away.
@@NomadsTrails Good question but i have a good answer too: because you can afford buying various food , for the needy one CAN NOT. i did NOT say it is dirty, what surprises me is that you well prepaid yourself for this trip and yet you do not want to pay for cheap food. Spoil yourselves and forget dumpster food.
@@ONEFROMRIYADH We already answered that statement. It seems like you are not familiar with food waste, recycling and the climate crisis we are facing. No matter if we are poor or rich we prefer to eat the food from dumpsters which would otherwise will get wasted. The food in the dumpsters wouldn't end up on someone's dinner table, but either burned or rotting on dumps, both with terrible consequences for the climate. As a bonus, we can eat very nice and healthy food that we could never have afforded to buy. As we also mentioned before, we really hope that the government regulations and the attitudes of shop owners will change, so that this food ends up where it is needed instead of where it does harm. Us sharing our dumpster diving has at least sparked this conversation, and brought some attention to this problem even if it is a drop in the sea compared to what needs to be done 😊
Wow judgemental for dumpster diving. Food is at least being used. My only concern was for protein like eggs and chicken being safe to eat. But you both seem to know what you are doing and are being careful. Good journey. Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏻
You are a cracking couple and kudos on following your dream. Matilda has a smile that is worth following around the world!

I am surprised at the large amount of food that is wasted in Europe. Just a century ago, famine was one of the leading causes of death
Yes, it is crazy 😔

Why does the Europeans waste a lot of food. Our people rarely have food to waste. Mostly our people don't even have food to eat.
seen a lot of food wasted in India as well. which is a criminal
