    its a great machine, still using it.. luckily my Ram is 16Gb, and I upgrade the SSD to 2Tb, change the battery and repaste the thermal paste and I love it till now... as for the staingate, I used 90% isopropyl alcohol.. works like magic.. oh, almost forgot, for the SSD adaptor, don't use the one in the video, it tend to failed and break your SSD. Find the one in full size and your SSD sits properly on the adaptor

      I agree on the SSD adapter.. fortunately the first one I got for the 2015 MBA I bought like 6 years ago was the long one and I hung onto it..I just bought the 2015 MBP and used it on that..

    Thanks for the tutorial on setting up a separate partition to share files between Mac & Win Bootcamp! This makes at so easy to share files regardless of what desktop I'm using. I normally use my iMac but I just picked up a 2015 MacBook Pro & will be using Bootcamp on that one as well. Thanks again for all the excellent info!

    Thanks alot with the EX-fat tricks for both Mac os and Bootcamp. I was doing the complicated restart and even thinking of Dropbox for this.
    Btw, noticing that Fan with metal is back to the Intel MBP 16 " 2019. Apple downgraded their MBP internal ventilation with lower-graded material.

    Hi, great video. I have no experience, i use to change and update some of my macbooks. I have this model, i changed the battery but now the fan speed is at maximum and the mac is really slow.
    Do you have any idea of how i can fixed it?
    Thanks in advance

  • @foto2.090

    “Touch a piece of metal to ground yourself” that doesn’t work, you need to touch real ground, the laptop isn’t grounded.

      like he said in the video, you have to either know the password if you put it there, or you have to take it to apple, prove you own the macbook, and they will do it for you

    Thanks for the video! One question for you. Would you do thermal mod to use the back cover as a heat sink?

    • @ronnbot
      @ronnbot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've considered it but decided not to because didn't want to create a hot spot on the bottom panel that could damage the object the laptop is sitting on or burn someone's lap, and the heat dissipation will not be effective enough because of the lack of air circulation beneath the laptop.

    1. Dont do that, just get special liquid/gel and clean display with few moves. 2. Please read and watch how this is done by someone who is building PCs on regular basis. 3. Dont do that. If this brash will stack in some tiny SMD component, it will damage it easily. Better to not use brushes at all. 3. Changing Apple's ssd for the WD Blue drive is insane downgrade as MBP supports speeds up to 1800Mbps of PCIex3.0 and WD blue drive is only 3rd of this speed, use M2 ssd with PCIex3.0 speeds and with decent caching (all WD m2 drives are crap in terms of cache).

    • @ronnbot
      @ronnbot  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I experimented with various items so that viewers can use whatever I have tried that they may have at home. You don't have to always buy some proprietary product.
      It's perfectly fine to dust a PC with a soft brush and vacuum. Compressed air work well too.
      I've measured the installed SSD (with CrystalDiskMark while running Windows) and got more than 2400mbps read and 1800mps write. The WD Blue SN550 is fast enough and very cheap. Also, I already have this in hand. Obviously, there are better but more expensive SSD options.
      Anyway, thanks for watching.
