The most important thing in my opinion, after seen the actual product, is to see if something was replaced. Like I wouldn’t use my iPhone 7 in the rain if I didn’t asked if it was fixed before.
Years ago I bought a used 5c on Amazon. Ended up not connecting to my cellular network. Returning was painless but I never thought it may have been blacklisted until you mentioned it in this video. Thanks for the information!

Very good tips!!! I use eBay often when purchasing tech. I do a lot of research from checking out sold prices for the item I’m looking for, very specific search parameters and doing homework on the seller. Never buy without product photos and request more photos if needed. Always ask questions if you have any. Don’t rush into any purchases, researching what’s availavble is very important.
11:28. About this, a few friends and I found an LG v30 in a capsized canoe while on a river trip. We searched for the owners for 2 months. Couldn't find them. When the phone was mine, I attempted to put my sim card in it. The phone was reported lost. I had to buy another motherboard to get around this.
Apple has linked the device id to the original screen, so if you replace the screen you need to reprogram the new screen to get truetone to work. However you need the original screen to do that. It’s a similar practice to what they do with touchid and faceid
Probably the scratch came from trying to erase the school’s logo or something, I got my iPad Air 2 from a school, properly rebooted and all and it has the school’s logo carved onto the back

I thought about buying my toddler a refurbished iPad as she’s only two and needs it as a medical device. Which I’ve never done so before but I figured it would make sense considering she’s two years old and wouldn’t care. Then I thought about Apple care and all that and ended finding a deal for a brand new iPad 9th gen for $249 that I could of course buy two years of Apple care for in case she breaks it, which is highly likely and that made the most sense to me.
Noah you should check to make sure that iPhone is actually the right one. The way hackers get around icloud lock is by flashing the phone with a different serial number. Try to factory reset the phone and see if icloud lock comes up. That's one way you'll know.
In my opinion, everytime you buy an used product, its always on you. It just depends on how much you can trust the seller, if youre buying from a website just look at the comments and the rating. You can only get scammed if you let someone scam you.
they're still overpriced even on the refurbished section on apple, for ex: a 128 gig iphone 7 plus still costs almost 500 dollars from the clearance section on apple. I sold my 128 gig iphone 7 plus for like 280, its nowhere near worth 500

Hey, Noah. Love the videos! I don't know if you will notice this comment. But I would like to tell you what happened to me yesterday. So, I'm using an iPhone 6S for almost 2 years. The phone has been perfectly fast and everything, but the battery life degraded very much. I notice that some times I get 1-1.30h Screen on time, which is really bad. Apple's own iOS battery health meter says that the battery is at 87% which is a total lie. Also worth noting is that it has been on that percentage for over 6 months. I used CoconutBattery on a Macbook and connected my iPhone. Turned out the battery was at 64% capacity. Which is a pretty big difference compared to the information I was getting on the device itself. Just worth mentioning. So yes, I got a few unexpected shutdowns, and I think I will go with a 3rd party battery replacement and hopefully it will bring life to my device. Kudos!
@@josephshamon7824 nope. I will change it at a local service shop. Not worth risking it. Also it would cost about 15$, so that's pretty acceptable compared to official Apple certified battery service which asked for 40$.

Is it worth it to buy a newer iPad so it can update to the latest? Also, which used model would you recommend? I will take your advice when looking for one-very helpful!
I actually bought from Sellworld on Swappa before with no issues or complaints about the device, but they clearly don’t actually test the devices that they resell just the few basic pics and that’s it also you can’t make out any scratches from their front photos either if the condition is listed as “good” just expect them. You’re better off buying from regular sellers just looking to get rid of the their device because they upgraded. That’s what I personally always do as a seller and try to provide as many pics as I can + whatever a potential buyer requests
You have a $10.49 lowest quality display. That backlight leak isn’t what you think lol it’s just put together wrong when pressed.Buy a used original display and $1 adhesive to rewaterproof her and i would also get a brand new like used battery with a capacity of 98 or higher.

Hey Noah, quick question man. I can’t quite afford Final Cut Pro x for a few months. Does anyone think that using iMovie will be good enough for video editing on a 2011 15” MacBook Pro with a 500gb SSD and 4 gigs of ram? Thank you for all you do man. It depends. It’s a really good basic video editor but you can’t really cut parts from video clips and stuff that easily when compared to adobe premiere pro or Final Cut Pro x
@@ChiefYoshi Thanks for the insight on that! If I upgrade my RAM to 16 gigs, would it be worth it to try and edit on that macbook still in final cut pro x? I'm only shooting 1080p video.

Hey, I used to sell on eBay and I wanted to let you know that is incorrect information. I want to let you know that it doesn't matter if the product is as described eBay give the buyer will 100% satisfaction guarantee and 100% buyers remorse so if you're still not satisfied as a buyer you can still return it no matter what
Noah Herman It still doesn’t matter. I had a listing that I didn’t offer returns. So as seller I’ve learn the money is never yours until the buyer is completely satisfied and leave a positive review. Only then is when the buyer can’t do anything about after that.
