Before this gets out of hand because I’m sure a huge amount of Ariana super fans will come in full swarm doing the absolute most😂 One, Air-e-ana or Ari-ana, I’ve grown up watching Victorious and listening to ALL of Ariana’s music and was a HUGE fan as a preteen/teen and have always called her both. Ariana is similar to the name Brianna in terms of people pronouncing them different ways, but having the same spelling. Two, I’ve read some comments saying some of the photos used were debunked as fake. I got these photos from reputable news sites, so from my knowledge, I thought of them to be legit photos. If they’re fake, that is my mistake and I will make sure to research even more to make sure photos are COMPLETELY accurate. Regardless, it still does not take away from the points I made in the videos. There are photos that are 100% accurate and real that still prove my point. Just know I put HOURS and DAYS into my content , so let’s not try the whole I don’t “research”. Mistakes can be made and credible people make mistakes all the time. I put a lot into what I do and I love it!! Just had to clarify those things because I’m tired of seeing the passive aggressive comments. Thank you for the support though and love y’all!!!

The weight loss could be from stress. I can't imagine how stressful (though definitely rewarding) her job is. I lose a lot of weight when I'm stressed out. Also I think the verse about the hair was actually cool, she was normalizing it.

Also sometimes people just lose weight. Illness, hormones, and aging happen. I lose weight if I don’t exercise and I get really tired of people speculating about my weight loss. Ppl wouldn’t do this about gaining, they shouldn’t do it about losing.

I don't know about you all, but I think having an identity crisis is a part of growing up. However, Ariana Grande's identity crisis was more severe then it needed to be; especially if all of this about her having plastic surgery is true. I also wanted share this. My family is black, granfather is even full african. Years ago my little sister(about 6 yo) became a fan of Ariana Grande, and it was at the time where she started doing all of this tanning. So she had never seen her white. My sister thought Ariana Grande was black like her! I was like "no" and showed her picture of Ariana when she was younger. My little sister was in SHOCK and DISBELIEF!

Advice for comparing photos next time: make sure the before & after have the same expression (smiling vs smiling, makeup vs makeup). Features change shape with expressions. Smile & your nose widens, eyes thin. Neutral expression = thinner nose, fuller lips.

I agree because when she was with Jai, she was still kinda in her Cat Valentine era but then when she was dating Big Sean, Ricky and Mac, that's when she started getting tan, dressing more skimpy and even her music was changing. I feel like during the time she was with Big Sean, that's when her music was starting to sound more adult-ish and she was slowly breaking out of the Nickelodeon girl image.

That's definitely not the case here, but I'm multiracial and have significant differences in my appearance year to year. Most notably hair and skin color. Just wanted to share! Always love yourself for who you are. Yes, surgeries can be very useful for self image, but aren't always necessary.

Hello again! People can do whatever they want with their face and body. If I find Asians beautiful and their aesthetic something I adore, I'm free to go do whatever I want on me. We can't go from cursing racists who hate cultures, colors and genders to cursing those who like them so much they're willing to have cosmetic surgery or implants or wigs or whatever. Gurl if you feel beautiful with your tanning good for you. I feel great in my pale, white skin cause I feel attracted by Scandinavian people, looks, climate and aesthetic. Would I go have laser to change my eye color, have my nose done or go dye my hair in a regular basis just to have this look? That's a lot of effort and I ain't that dedicated but people who do that, that's good for them. I believe that cultures should be shared, mixed, respected, loved, adored and not strictly "owned". I used to think Ariana was blackfishing but looking back on it, I think all of the claims were blown a bit of proportion. Yes, she got a tan but it possible that she got it because she was just simply insecure about being pale. There are childhood photos of her with similar light tanned skintone before her Broadway days. Also the concept Blackfishing extendeds way beyond just darkening the skin. Ole girl wasn't out here getting braids, locs, and trying actively to look black or mixed in comparison to celebrities who actually did check all these boxes like Kim Kardashian, Rita Ora, or Jesy Nelson. Ariana was probably profiting off all the confusion around her race even though she been front about her Italian ethnicity. I don't even think she looked racially ambiguous because I've been to European countries like Spain and Italian and I've seen white girls who look like Ariana, the only difference being their tans were natural.
You forget that as people age, they lose their fat some places. Specially on the face. I'm the same way. My body type is very similar to Ariana but I'm a lot taller so people always say "oh you are so skinny" and I am not just have a small waistline and slim physique and got a lot older lol. Hi. I'd really appreciate you specify east Asian. Most of South asians are brown and have tan and dark skin. We have really diverse skin tones from very fair to people very dark. Comparable to people in the black community. A lot of us do not appreciate the whole fake tan thing as well as a lot of cultural appropriation. I think we need to recognize Asia is not = Korea Japan china etc. When someone says Asian fishing you do not think of someone darkening their skin and having a fake South Asian look even though many white people do so. I hope you understand where I come from and how constantly using Asian fishing for people who are trying to look east Asian takes away from many of us' identity.
A blaccent is not "the aura that you have, the aura that you hold," it's a really specific way of speaking, using certain words and pronunciation. So, not a mysterious 'vibe' that's hard to attain, but, rather, just....an 'accent.' And it's an accent that is natural for people who were raised with it, but can be put on by anyone, whether it sounds real or not. (And sounds really silly when put on by ppl who weren't raised to speak that way, in my opinion.)

I think Ariana is a Product of what happens when children grow up in the industry. I love Ariana Grande but I believe she does take from the culture however I feel that’s a lot of her teams controlling her image in making her more appealing to black audiences. Cuz let’s be honest white people don’t thrive in black musical spaces just by being white. They have to adapt in order to sell. (Looking from a marketing perspective) however I dont see her as a culture vulture like the Kardashians. I think most people are forgetting that most of these changes happened before she got married! (weight loss/procedures/style etc). I thoroughly remember during 2020 early qurantine, her style had changed a little but not much. She had ditched the fake tan but her makeup style was the same. Then after positions dropped/engagement announcement that's when all these changes happened. Her whole aesthetic started to slowly change (which I think suits her more). I think she did all this in preparation for her wedding day, and in doing so, she started to find her style/and make up that works for her face. Also framing her weight loss as an "identity crisis" is just ridiculous and very harmful.

The exposure, shadows etc were heavily altered, you can research the original pics and see that Ariana started from a pretty olive skin shade and didnt really go that much darker (the pic on the right was also edited to make her look darker). We all need to remember it's rude to comment on people's bodies. Before this gets out of hand because I’m sure a huge amount of Ariana super fans will come in full swarm doing the absolute most😂 One, Air-e-ana or Ari-ana, I’ve grown up watching Victorious and listening to ALL of Ariana’s music and was a HUGE fan as a preteen/teen and have always called her both. Ariana is similar to the name Brianna in terms of people pronouncing them different ways, but having the same spelling. Two, I’ve read some comments saying some of the photos used were debunked as fake. I got these photos from reputable news sites, so from my knowledge, I thought of them to be legit photos. If they’re fake, that is my mistake and I will make sure to research even more to make sure photos are COMPLETELY accurate. Regardless, it still does not take away from the points I made in the videos. There are photos that are 100% accurate and real that still prove my point. Just know I put HOURS and DAYS into my content , so let’s not try the whole I don’t “research”. Mistakes can be made and credible people make mistakes all the time. I put a lot into what I do and I love it!! Just had to clarify those things because I’m tired of seeing the passive aggressive comments. Thank you for the support though and love y’all!!!

Also sometimes people just lose weight. Illness, hormones, and aging happen. I lose weight if I don’t exercise and I get really tired of people speculating about my weight loss. Ppl wouldn’t do this about gaining, they shouldn’t do it about losing.

My family is black, granfather is even full african. Years ago my little sister(about 6 yo) became a fan of Ariana Grande, and it was at the time where she started doing all of this tanning. So she had never seen her white. My sister thought Ariana Grande was black like her! I was like "no" and showed her picture of Ariana when she was younger. Hello again! People can do whatever they want with their face and body. If I find Asians beautiful and their aesthetic something I adore, I'm free to go do whatever I want on me. We can't go from cursing racists who hate cultures, colors and genders to cursing those who like them so much they're willing to have cosmetic surgery or implants or wigs or whatever. Gurl if you feel beautiful with your tanning good for you. I feel great in my pale, white skin cause I feel attracted by Scandinavian people, looks, climate and aesthetic. Would I go have laser to change my eye color, have my nose done or go dye my hair in a regular basis just to have this look? I used to think Ariana was blackfishing but looking back on it, I think all of the claims were blown a bit of proportion. Yes, she got a tan but it possible that she got it because she was just simply insecure about being pale.
There are childhood photos of her with similar light tanned skintone before her Broadway days. Also the concept Blackfishing extendeds way beyond just darkening the skin. Ole girl wasn't out here getting braids, locs, and trying actively to look black or mixed in comparison to celebrities who actually did check all these boxes like Kim Kardashian, Rita Ora, or Jesy Nelson. Ariana was probably profiting off all the confusion around her race even though she been front about her Italian ethnicity. I don't even think she looked racially ambiguous because I've been to European countries like Spain and Italian and I've seen white girls who look like Ariana, the only difference being their tans were natural.

Hi. I'd really appreciate you specify east Asian. Most of South asians are brown and have tan and dark skin. We have really diverse skin tones from very fair to people very dark. Comparable to people in the black community. A lot of us do not appreciate the whole fake tan thing as well as a lot of cultural appropriation. I think we need to recognize Asia is not = Korea Japan china etc. When someone says Asian fishing you do not think of someone darkening their skin and having a fake South Asian look even though many white people do so. You can't gate-keep makeup because winging eyeliner and blush is somehow exclusive to your culture. Asians are not the only people in the world that has smaller eyes and rosy cheeks.
Some black women wear weaves, straighten their hair, and wear blonde wigs. Do people call that cultural appropriation? No. Because a hair type and a hair color are not exclusive to one race of people. A lot of dark-skinned people also use chemicals to make their skin lighter; is that cultural appropriation? No. So why must this be different when it comes to white folks who wing eyeliner and use blush?
Cultural appropriation doesn't really mean anything. Anytime someone wears clothes of another culture, or do their hair in a way of another culture, it's always appropriation. Do people ever think that maybe people think it's cool, and are appreciating it?? People just use it as an excuse to cancel others. Americans will always find something to be victimized by.

I think Ariana is a Product of what happens when children grow up in the industry. I love Ariana Grande but I believe she does take from the culture however I feel that’s a lot of her teams controlling her image in making her more appealing to black audiences. Cuz let’s be honest white people don’t thrive in black musical spaces just by being white. They have to adapt in order to sell. (Looking from a marketing perspective) however I dont see her as a culture vulture like the Kardashians. I see her more as those white people that clearly hangs around black people and adapted to their aesthetic if that makes sense. And I think she has an eating disorder cuz her head is now bigger than her body and it’s concerning.

I think most people are forgetting that most of these changes happened before she got married! (weight loss/procedures/style etc). I thoroughly remember during 2020 early qurantine, her style had changed a little but not much. She had ditched the fake tan but her makeup style was the same. Then after positions dropped/engagement announcement that's when all these changes happened. Her whole aesthetic started to slowly change (which I think suits her more). I think she did all this in preparation for her wedding day, and in doing so, she started to find her style/and make up that works for her face. Also framing her weight loss as an "identity crisis" is just ridiculous and very harmful.

The exposure, shadows etc were heavily altered, you can research the original pics and see that Ariana started from a pretty olive skin shade and didnt really go that much darker (the pic on the right was also edited to make her look darker). Other than that, I agree

We all need to remember it's rude to comment on people's bodies. I'm not saying this against this video, I'm just reminded how even when people give compliments on your body it has a negative effect on your self image. It's just unnecessary for anyone outside of a doctor, trainer, physical therapist to make notes about someone's body shape/weight.
