Pretty privilege is the realest thing on the planet! I have been bullied since I could remember until I had a huge glow up my junior year of high school and babyyyy 👶 the DIFFERENCE lol is so drastic, I get so many compliments on a daily basis, everybody wants to be my friend, people give me free stuff and hold doors open for me, everybody always Hypes me up when they see me especially strangers; Don't get me wrong I'm extremely grateful but I just wanted to say it's very real LOL
Girly my mom is half Mexican and my dad's mainly Scottish, and I still get it. I'm the first daughter in my family and I can honestly say this is so relatable! seriously you wanna go out with some friends and you got to have a full speech to persuade them. also, I do so much to take care of my 4sisters and help out; we are the glue ladies lolol.
About the “pretty privilege” thing, I definitely agree that (generally speaking) conventionally attractive people get more respect and love than others. But sometimes there’s folks out there who genuinely care about your well-being other than your looks. You just have to find the right guy/girl. I remember running away from home when I was a suicidal teen and the policeman comforted me and even offered to buy McDonald’s. I wasn’t “attractive” by any means. I was pretty gross looking as a teen. 😂 But he was nice to me nonetheless! There’s good people out there.
@@elodie7141 I try to tell myself I’m mentally healthier than I was before (which is true) but I still feel like complete shit every darn day. I just want to like myself.
Damn that cop is nice! I don’t like McDonald’s but in my sad moments, I’d be happy to eat fast food. Also I am close to pretty privilege I think, idk I’m just normal looking south asian, just genetics for the main part. Also I prefer “ugly” people, I quote ugly because I don’t believe ugly. I’ve met a lot of pretty people that just seemed stuck up, some were nice but turned out to be two faced, a few I met were great. Most of the other people I got along with were usually the so called “ugly” people by society standards. The difference is huge, majority of people I hung with the most were “ugly” people, they had great personalities. I hope you love yourself one day, even if it’s not love, perhaps just a bit of liking is a lot. You are not ugly, don’t let the word ugly slip into your brain, it will wire in. It sucks to be mentally challenged/have mental issues (I have some issues as well mentally), but I gaslight myself into thinking I’m great 😂👌. Not the best strategy but what can I do, after 20+ therapists, it’s best to know you won’t change just because of a therapist, they may help but not fully. When you feel like the word ugly will come to your head or you feel like you’re going to think about how ugly you are, quickly think of a happy memory or something you enjoy, what change you want in the world, continue this everyday, and tell yourself to the mirror that they are beautiful and that you do not have to conform to society, your reflection is your closest precious person in the world. Take care of yourself (your reflection), live happy, and let out any emotional feeling and be strong when you can. Don’t force anything when you are pressured or want to be this or that because of society. Hope you have a happy life and hope the majority of your ongoing life would be happy memories.
@@bme7995 The cop definitely was a sweetheart! I’m not a fan of McDonald’s either. I actually declined his offer. Yet I still appreciated his thoughtful help. It’s the small things that count. Any little gesture can make a huge difference! I might have died that day, but the policeman convinced me to stay. Mental illness really does sucks… 😕 It’s so unbelievably hard to live with a distorted and altered view of reality/yourself. I don’t bother with therapy because I’m too broke for that. 😖 I sincerely hope I can overcome my severe depression. The thoughts that go through my head on a daily basis is bad. Really bad. I’ve relied on physical pain to block it all out. I use razor blades, box cutters, scalpels, anything sharp on myself. After a meaningful conversation with my older brother, I made the decision to stop my self harm. My depression is a liar. I’m not weak or ugly. I’m strong and beautiful.
@@H0SANNA I used to have really bad depression too. It's been about 4 years and I honestly cannot believe I'm still alive. I'm 17 now and I have a healthy sense of self worth and confidence. It's crazy because looking back, I am a completely different person. I'm telling you, things were really really bad and I never thought I would get better. So being someone who has experienced severe depression too, I want you to know that things can get better. You may not be able to see it now, but you are so much stronger than you think you are. I want you to know you're not alone.
If you're also feeling ugly, also remember that the way we feel isn't constant. Like you may not feel like your best one day, but another day, you might feel like you're glowing. I have certainly felt that way and I just tell myself it's one of those days
There was a short from this one youtuber, it had someone saying they think they’re ugly and their partner responded by saying you don’t see yourself when you smile, laugh etc. really good short and youtuber
to clarify: france IS actually banning hijabs (not just niqabs). if you are a minor and you wear the hijab, they wont let you go to class wearing it. like you could be a 17 year old hijabi living life just tryna study, and they wont let you attend class unless you leave half your identity at home 😃 they have guards at school entry points that stop you from entering with a hijab on- ITS MADNESSSSS.
what,,, this is so sickening. i’m literally a muslim hijabi but rethinking that trip to france, i honestly don’t get people these days. christian nuns cover their heads, sikh men wear turbans (i think, remind me if i’m wrong), it’s just as normal to wear religious wear like a cross necklace as it is to wear a cultural clothing/accessory. bro i literally don’t know what’s pissing people off about a hijab, like seriously, is your life that sad to worry about what someone else chooses and loves to wear for themselves ??
@@shezambreen2362 i went for a quick trip, other than subtle dirty looks you're not gonna have any problem. However op is right, my sister's live there and they did tell me about the hijab being banned for students.
1:19. I’ve heard people say this lots of times but I do have a little piece of advice. I think that no one in the world is “ugly”. Everything is based on opinion. If someone calls you ugly, its their opinion. I believe that every one on earth is beautiful and if someone tells us we are ugly and we know the truth about ourselves we should not let their opinion ruin our self confidence. I know its hard for some people because I went through a lot of bullying and its hurt me tremendously but, no one on earth is “ugly”. Periodt.
idk if anyone else said this but “transracial” is an actual thing that describes transracial adoption (children being adopted by parents of a different race) and those who are affected by transracial adoptions HATE that it’s being misused
As a transracial adoptee and transgender person I hate the way they are ruining both of my communities. The trans community is getting associated with them, and other bad communities and it sucks, also some people don’t understand that saying I identify as a different race and I’m transracial is also actually transphobic as it makes fun of our actual experiences and equates it to stupid things like fake pronouns. The whole transracial thing takes the term away from adoptees like me, and makes other people make fun of the trans and non-binary community while also being racist it sucks.
This is so sad. First of all, you’re changing your skin color to become “trendy” when black women have actually been bullied or harassed for having this skin color naturally. Second of all, pale skin is beautiful. Whether you’re white as snow or a couple shades darker, it’s gorgeous. To girls of all races, never change your skin tone. It is who you are, it’s a sign of your ancestry, and for that reason it’s beautiful
⚠️NOT INSULTING ANYONE IT IS YOUR BODY YOUR CHOICE⚠️ Same with the BBL or Big lips trend. Back in the earlier years girls wanted a small butt to look natural and that made a lot of people with a naturally big butt to feel insecure or bad about how they look. But like I'm saying, now the trend is to get a BBL to get a bigger butt to get that "Ideal butt" just bc people feel the need to change or alter their body to fit in Girls (mainly black girls) were bullied for their big lips, making them feel ugly and Insecure about themselves or how they looked, but now the trend is to get fillers to have "big" or "natural" lips (Ex, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, etc.)
@@S3R14LCR13R_ agreed!! I think it’s sad we’re adopting certain ethnic features of different groups Bc they’re “trendy” when ppl of that race were bullied for it. As you mentioned, black girls being bullied for big lips but yet now everybody’s getting filler, Asians being bullied for slanted eyes yet now were all doing fox eye makeup, white girls getting bullied for having freckles on their nose and cheeks now we’re drawing them on. It is especially bad with black features considering the history of this country…for obvious reasons. But it’s sad that we’re taking people ethnic features and just making it a trend when it’s convenient
Thank you for this comment. It’s like if you’re too dark it’s wrong, if you’re too white that’s bad also. I’m very white and people constantly compare me to themselves, putting their arms next to mine so I can see how tan they are and I’m not. It makes me feel like i got cancer or I have an illness almost with the way they constantly mention how white i am. I also always get told to go outside to go sit outside in the sun. Who was it? Was it Ariana Grande? Or Nikita Dragun? But in all seriousness why would she do that? Maybe she thought doing that would be funny or “new content” which is so wrong I bet you she’s racist.
Hijab harassment is not okay, it's a peaceful way of expressing devotion and shouldn't be banned. But I feel niqab and especially burkas should be beacuse they're a security threat for recognising faces on CCTV, and they represent purity culture and especially the burka is a undeniable symbol of female oppression, especially in places like Afghanistan and Iran. And no don't catch me with that islamophobia accusation because I have nothing against Muslims, heck my dad's Muslim, and I'm literally an afghan girl.
@@lana9512 im sorry if you find that offensive. But I can't deny what I see on a daily basis within my own family and within my homelands news and stories from relatives can I? Or are you gonna tell me that the burka isn't associated with oppression? That the women in my home country are all willingly wearing them in public and not going to school willingly and being lorded around by male chaperones willingly and getting shot in the head over honour killings for not wearing one willingly? You yourself wear a hijab? Why dont you wear a burka? Maybe you just don't know, but for many they become faceless when they wear one - they lose their identity. It's so sad. I'm so sorry you find this offensive but maybe you should consider why you do so? I honestly feel quite bitter when I see other richer more privileged Muslim girls ignore the abuse of poorer Muslim girls and the weaponisation of false religious objects towards them (the burka isn't even mentioned in the Qur'an - in fact not even the hijab specifically is, just a item of clothing to hang from your head to your breasts, now interpreted as the hijab but doesn't have to be, could be a simple scarf as that is also similar to original garment talked about in the Qur'an, hence why some Muslims don't wear the hijab but instead a loose scarf - advised by the prophet to prevent rapes....slightly problematic considering that implies it's the woman's fault for wearing something indecent, but I'm not gonna demand every majority muslim culture to adhere to the wests idea of sexual liberation. However the oppression associated with face covering veils is not something that is subjectively wrong. The burka is the symbol of the murdering and oppression of poorer Muslim women who, like a woman stuck in a abusive relationship, sometimes even defend it despite it causing them harm because they believe Allah demands it (which he most certainly doesn't ). And of course other times they just learn to live with the oppression and lose the will to fight.

if you’re interested in how other cultures’ parents treat their kids: i’m filipino and my male cousins basically get to do whatever they want as long as it’s not hard drugs and no one gets pregnant. on the other hand, my parents didn’t even trust me to cross the street by myself until i was like 15 and constantly underestimate me and assume i can’t do things even when i demonstrate right i front of them that i can. my female cousins’ mothers constantly intrude on their privacy to make sure they aren’t flirting, as if being complimented by a guy can instantly get you pregnant. they have a very specific idea of what they think girls can do and “being independent” or “act responsibly” are not on the list. oh also: i’m the first daughter of the first daughter (of the first daughter) and my aunts and even my uncle constantly scold/make fun of me for not being feminine, not caring about gender roles, not being strict on myself and basically not having a stick up my ass. “i’m not allowed to act like this because i’m not a man” even though all i really do is act lazy and slovenly sometimes and don’t hold myself to impossible standards or spend all my time looking after other people. also sometimes i don’t constantly obsess over being immaculately neat and presentable ( i keep myself and my clothes clean but i don’t iron every single piece of clothing i own or bathe my hair in gel to keep it all in place) bc i don’t care how most people view me which is the gravest sin i have ever committed.
I am also the first daughter of the first daughter on my mother side. Just like you I also have to constantly be scolded by my aunts and uncles about not restricting myself in in gender roles, keeping ideal weight, acting “too grown for my age”, and constantly being compared to my other cousins. I am the middle child, yet I have the roles as a first child and have to constantly keep both the oldest and the youngest in line as well as do more duties than they do. I’m the one stuck with the cleaning and helping out everyone while everyone mainly doesn’t wanna be bothered with it because it doesn’t seem like it’s their duty. Where is daughter is definitely the glue of the family.
I’m the youngest/only daughter of immigrant parents and I am constantly scrutinized by my aunts and relatives: little things like “sit like a lady” or even making horrible comments about my friend’s weight, and like scrutinizing my hair just b/c they don’t like how it looks. Also constantly being judged if my room isn’t spic and span, even tho my brothers room is messier. Glad to know I’m not the only one 🥲😅
True. Look at the beauty standards around the world and in the past. They all are different and it’s going to change again in the future. Things before that were considered ugly are now pretty and things from one place that is seen as beautiful is ugly in another. It’s seems like there’s no such thing as being “beautiful” or “ugly” it’s just if you’re in or not. That’s why we shouldn’t hold ourselves to these standards.
@@blueweirdo719 an app told me I'm ugly in every country except Japan and in Japan they think a man on a painting I'm scared of is handsome so I'm ugly

Respecting elders: I watched a video of black woman experience from japan and she told this story: she was walking on the sideway and there was some grandpa coming towards her. When they came close he spat on her. RESPECTING ELDERS, yes those who deserve it but was she supposed to say thank you for spitting on me sir I appreciate your saliva...???
Omg that’s just horrible. The audacity of some people is astounding. Exactly if you want to be respected then you should respect people. Like the saying “treat people the way you want to be treated.”. The mindset of thinking elders deserve respect no matter what is triggering lol.
Well, generally your respectful to strangers assuming they aren't purposely provoking you. There's an extra politeness to strangers and most elderly are strangers? I don't really know. But I do think it's funny --as well as sad and frustrating-- when I find people online who are older that somehow don't realize that on the internet people don't know your age unless you tell them, they can't see you. And sure people can be patronizing little know-it-alls on social media sometimes and sometimes talk to you like you're a child but how could they know?
Unfortunately my family is like that with my height. Like bro I cant control it. Do they want me to say “oh I’m sorry I’m not the height of your liking?” -snaps bones in half to make my self like a inch shorter - “there you go.”
It’s a really big issue in the UK. I know girls who get tanning injections etc… I’m Turkish so my colour fluctuates year round but even in the summer their skin looks like 3 shades darker than mine😟 Mate they actually think they look mixed or natural when in reality they look like they’ve marinaded in bovril. Enjoy leathery and prematurely aged skin in ur 20s tho luv x

@@Alex-fc8xn I agree with that, it's really unfair and the worst part is when someone parks in the handicap section and they're not handicap, some of the guys at my neighborhood do that a lot and they don't get yelled at
@@Tiredarsonist ugh yeah, there's a reason most countries with spots reserved for people with physical disabilities also require a person to apply for and get a parking pass/placard to leave in the front window. Because disabilities aren't always visible, sometimes a person gets one of the passes because they have really bad IBS or Crohn's and need to reduce how far they have to walk to get to a bathroom. I've got one because I'm physically disabled and it honestly reduces a lot of stress and pain just having a few less feet to walk, especially because parking lots are very hard and often uneven. So people taking up the spaces really gets my goat, ESPECIALLY when they use one of the extra large spaces meant for vans or cars that have a ramp for wheelchairs and similar devices to exit. They literally cannot use a different spot without risk of not being able to get out/in.
@Alex-fc8xn Especially the ones who has invisible disability. I remember a video of one woman who had to park near the store everytime because she has a condition where even using a little energy could make her pass out. Everyone in the comment was attacking her and calling her lazy, saying she should exercise more.
11:01 babe, happiness is like all the other emotions; it comes and goes. You can't feel only one emotion forever. Sometimes you're angry, sometimes you're sad, sometimes you're fussy, and sometimes you're happy. The idea that happiness should be chased and maintained for prolonged periods of time is a really toxic ideology. People are out here unsatisfied with who they are and their lives because no matter what they do, they "just can't be truly happy." You're human, and you have different states of being, and happiness isn't always going to be the primary. The sooner we all accept this, the better.

In regards to the feeling ugly: try your very best to surround yourself by people who hype each other up even if they don't feel good about themselves and add in to hyping them up and try to take that energy into other areas of your life. Like I started watching some twitch streamers and the community is super supportive of each other and seeing the constant things of like "you got this!" "You're doing great!" made me automatically respond with that stuff to myself whenever I did something kinda well and overtime it really does boost your confidence in yourself. as one of your subscribers who lived in France for close to a decade, the whole hijab thing is MESSED UP. i’m not even muslim but it’s like … WTF. in France, one of the national values is SECULARISM and the way it’s applied is what bothers me. Long story short, anything related to one’s religion or religious affiliations and beliefs shouldn’t be displayed in institutional infrastructures (an example would be in schools). So I always see,on our way to school, muslim girls removing their hijabs as soon as reach the gates of school. NOW MIND YOU, what annoys me even more is that when you look at national school breaks, like EASTER, CHRISTMAS, or LA TOUSSAINT ( to honor saints on the every 1st November ) are based on Catholic religion yet applied to NATIONALLY . i even recall in elementary school, at the canteen, we would be given fish at lunch every friday, which, when tou think about it, is a practice from Catholic religion. To sum up, Secularism is applied systemically but the Institution makes concessions when it comes to Catholicism 🙄🙄🙄 And side note, i’m NOT expressing ANYTHING negative against Catholics and the religion, my disdain is expressed regarding the hypocrisy that surrounds the way this secularism rule is applied. 🙏🏾
you said it perfectly. i agreed 100% what u said. it's so sad, the secularism system isn't even promoting equality as they claim; it's just pure islamophobic.
Yes I totally agree with you. I’m French and it really sucks! like the national currency/value ( I don’t know you it in English) is literally LIBERTY ! people are free to do what they want as long as it doesn’t affect someone else . Everytime someone bring the subject in the conversation I always want to say: I think if it affect you to see someone wearing the hijab thinking that that person is not French, then I’m sorry to say it to you but you’re nationality doesn’t have something to do with your religion. You can be French and Muslim, you can be French wear hijab. I don’t remember it being illegal so if it bothers you to see someone wearing hijab shut up and just walk off. Gosh I hate this debate!

There’s good people out there.
i hope you are doing better🙂
Really bad. to clarify: france IS actually banning hijabs (not just niqabs). if you are a minor and you wear the hijab, they wont let you go to class wearing it. like you could be a 17 year old hijabi living life just tryna study, and they wont let you attend class unless you leave half your identity at home 😃 they have guards at school entry points that stop you from entering with a hijab on- ITS MADNESSSSS.
what,,, this is so sickening. i’m literally a muslim hijabi but rethinking that trip to france, i honestly don’t get people these days. christian nuns cover their heads, sikh men wear turbans (i think, remind me if i’m wrong), it’s just as normal to wear religious wear like a cross necklace as it is to wear a cultural clothing/accessory. bro i literally don’t know what’s pissing people off about a hijab, like seriously, is your life that sad to worry about what someone else chooses and loves to wear for themselves ??

Periodt.
yeah, I've been called ugly and pretty before
I stand with this
idk if anyone else said this but “transracial” is an actual thing that describes transracial adoption (children being adopted by parents of a different race) and those who are affected by transracial adoptions HATE that it’s being misused
thanks was looking for this comment
That’s how I’ve known the term, so it’s odd that people are using it in the literal sense. It’s ridiculous.
Like that man with the "black power fuck whites" and he's white-
So as a Mexican adopted by an interracial couple I'm transracial. They're stealing my identity
⚠️NOT INSULTING ANYONE IT IS YOUR BODY YOUR CHOICE⚠️
Same with the BBL or Big lips trend. Back in the earlier years girls wanted a small butt to look natural and that made a lot of people with a naturally big butt to feel insecure or bad about how they look. But like I'm saying, now the trend is to get a BBL to get a bigger butt to get that "Ideal butt" just bc people feel the need to change or alter their body to fit in
Girls (mainly black girls) were bullied for their big lips, making them feel ugly and Insecure about themselves or how they looked, but now the trend is to get fillers to have "big" or "natural" lips (Ex, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, etc.)
@pleasedontlookforme I find this offensive 😧
@pleasedontlookforme and I’m a Muslim girl that wears the hijab so I guess I have that credibility lmfao

Sometimes you're angry, sometimes you're sad, sometimes you're fussy, and sometimes you're happy. The idea that happiness should be chased and maintained for prolonged periods of time is a really toxic ideology. People are out here unsatisfied with who they are and their lives because no matter what they do, they "just can't be truly happy."
You're human, and you have different states of being, and happiness isn't always going to be the primary. The sooner we all accept this, the better.

@@cinabonbon yea, but this isn’t her video. This is Courtney doing a video about HER. I don’t give this weird girl a single view nor a comment. Btw., i don’t agree with your “the girl in the thumbnail is not trying to be black”… yea she is, her skin is literally dark brown, and she’s white. It doesn’t add up
@@chicysai I mean she just changing her skin, not figures. Black people figures and facial structures are just different from white or Asian. That is why I can tell right away that she ain’t black 100%. Her skin is. It is like other people whitening their skin in Asia or Africa; they don’t try to be white people; they want pale skin. It is still mess up though ngl. But humans always want something they don’t have.

They way I was about to contend with this statement but remembered that I almost accepted a friend request from a pretty stranger on Facebook one time...😭😭 Like, I never accept friend request from strangers, but that one time I caught myself about to accept it just cause she was pretty. And it really made me think about things. Like, is that the world i want to live in? Where only attractive people get their way? Nah.
no wonder I have no friends
as a man, my confusion with the alpha male podcasts is that why would you listen to what a man about what he thinks a woman wants, when you can just listen to women about what they actually want in a relationship instead…
Exactly!? If you want to know what someone wants then why wouldn’t you ask them? Plus not all woman are the same because not all humans are the same so you would have to know what that individual wants. It’s honestly just what they want rather than what “women want” lol.
7:00 crazier how will smith said “don’t say stuff about my wife” when him and Jada were divorced at that time 😭😭
3:50 Yall remember that guy named Cameron Herrin who was found guilty of the 2018 tragic vehicular homicide incident which led to the “death” of a young mother and her child and some people wants to give him a 2nd chance bc he's hot? Yea, an example of pretty privilege
Let's not forget that criminal guy with two different coloured eyes who became a model after his mugshots got out to the public.
I can't remember his name pr what he did excaly, but it was either murder or sexual assault
Ate and devoured the whole plate 😼💅🏽
I still can't believe they let him have a 2nd chance like sis ⭕👄⭕
Yeah, that was so sad! Like, the kid had already had multiple warnings, then he goes out here and kills two people, and girls are like “give him other chance, it was just a ✨mistake✨”
But like he’s really cute tho 🥹
I’m not a first daughter, but I am a daughter. And let me tell YOU. My brother is a year older and gets to stay up late, order things online without getting in trouble. I’m 15 and I can DRIVE but I’m not allowed to, and my brother is getting to do whatever he wants. And our family isn’t foreign, my mom is literally the definition of suburban Karen. I can’t even wear shorts…or a shirt that shows a little bit of my stomach.. I might continue this rant later.
you’re parents are “protecting” you from the world i hated that but now that i’m 18 and in college i can do whatever u want because i’m away from home, but when i go back for the breaks and summer i’ll be treated like a child again 😀
@Jay. why run? Her parents sound totally normal. I remember when I was 15, I wanted to dress up in short skirts and stuff too, but thinking back, I was way too young and Im happy my mom held me back. If you are constant surrounded by people saying how much they hate themselves then you're gonna internalize that ish.
It's definitely *"hot people always win"* but I'd like to believe in *"hard work pays off"* 😭😭 this is the only last hope I hold

3:13 I had a super similar thing happen to me when I was in high school. I lost like 23 pounds after I got my wisdom teeth removed because I literally couldn't eat food (I had a terrible recovery), and so I showed up to christmas with my mom's family looking all emaciated. My tia came up to me and was like "you look so much better; last time I saw you, you were looking a little big". This woman is deadass wheelchair bound, and somehow managed to reverse her own gastric bypass surgery within a year of getting it. But she had the NERVE to say that I was "a little big" at 140 pounds and 5'7, and that I looked "better" now that I was starving due to the fucking wounds in my face. I played it off with an uncomfortable chuckle, but the absolute rage I felt in that moment... I would have gotten myself exiled from the family with the things I wanted to say.

Girl, I saw a comment and some one says “It’s a waste of good looks because that guy could’ve slept with other pretty women” like babe stfu, how tf is a guy sleeping around more important than a life of a child and mom?! Get help bestie
When I was 13,14,15, I was not looking too cute. I had severe acne, I had body image issues, and I was also depressed and suicidal. I had trouble making friends, and was bullied in a way. I really hated how I looked. During quarantine I pretty much had a huge glow up. My mental health is great, I started finding stuff that worked for my skin, and I'm very confident now. Before, if anyone even mentioned my acne I'd start crying. No joke, I was so insecure.
Recently, random people have been coming to me to tell me I'm pretty, or to ask for my Instagram. I was once driving somewhere with my mom and some boys on a school bus were waving at me trying to get my attention. It's super weird because I've been on the other end of this. I used to be completely ignored and treated like garbage. So now it's just strange and I don't know how to feel about it.
Anyone else been on both sides of "pretty privilege"?

Happiness is an emotion, it comes and goes just like sadness, anger, etc even though we tend to focus on always being happy, what we should be focusing on is being content, it would be weird to be continuously happy. Be content with your life, the growth you making and where you’re heading, the people you have around you, all that stuff. Being critical with yourself and complaining just means you always aspire to be more than just what you are now, nothing wrong with that as long as you don’t continuously beat yourself up about it 😅

as one of your subscribers who lived in France for close to a decade, the whole hijab thing is MESSED UP. i’m not even muslim but it’s like … WTF. in France, one of the national values is SECULARISM and the way it’s applied is what bothers me.
To sum up, Secularism is applied systemically but the Institution makes concessions when it comes to Catholicism 🙄🙄🙄
And side note, i’m NOT expressing ANYTHING negative against Catholics and the religion, my disdain is expressed regarding the hypocrisy that surrounds the way this secularism rule is applied. 🙏🏾
you said it perfectly. i agreed 100% what u said. it's so sad, the secularism system isn't even promoting equality as they claim; it's just pure islamophobic.
I agree but as a christian I feel like easter and Christmas have become more less religious for some reason
Gosh I hate this debate!
courtreezy is catholic
