So, each register holds 4 bits, and send on bite to be chosen as output to each mux, and then the combined output of the mux's will form4 bits of date to be used by the computer ?

Is it possible 12 register with 6 bits each ....if yes then how to connect them ??? There would be 6 multiplexer and 4 selection lines and how to send data of 7th refister ????

now the mux will be of 8x1 type
and no of mux required are 16 = no of bits in register

At 9:50 " if it is a 16 bits register than we need 16 multiplexers".
That kind of "slip of tongue" is common during teaching.
Isn't it correct? For 16 bit register we will need 16 multiplexers.

Yes. It depends on 2^? .means in 8×1 .so 8 could be also represent in 2^³.it means 3 selection lines will be taken. Depends on bit.
