I enjoyed the video very much, but would also love to see more packs in your builds. While I understand you want to make the builds more accessible, you have done so many limited packs/base game builds by now, I‘m sure almost everyone can find something on your gallery! For me, I most often don’t watch to find a whole house to download, but more so look for inspiration on how to use certain pack items/ floor plans/ room layouts/ build prompts etc.
Love you simsie, would love to see you build with some packs or no budget :) you’re an amazing builder and I really feel like you limit yourself with you doing the same challenges over and over :(
something i often miss when she does starter homes and kids bedrooms is that theres not often a thought for other skills than creativity? and even then theres usually no violin or art table but three toy items /: blarfy(?) does second as a communication item but you can just talk to your siblings/parents for that. same for the toddler room like you have the option of fantasy or fantasy (in terms of toys) its not a horrible thing but i sometime wish there was more variety to the skills put within the starter builds?
Kayla is such an amazing builder, I really wish she would listen to some of the feedback the audience has to say about packs and budgets. She literally built almost the same house a month ago for 8 sims. I love her channel and her stream, I watch it everyday no matter what but it just sucks seeing the same house and furniture everytime. Maybe try an all cc build, detailing a house, or doing a friend's shell challenge. Just something to mix it up a little :)
And this is coming from a console player with limited packs and yeah it sucks to not be able to download some of the builds she does but I LOVE to watch Kayla build its really entertaining to see her piece together floorplans and decorate :)
as much as i love being able to download your basegame only builds and add stuff from the packs i have myself, please consider to not limit yourself with just basegame and 1 other pack!!! it’s great that you think about everyone but for content it gets pretty boring.
I'd love to see a sort of opposite challenge: EVERY pack must be used. No budget, (or reasonable budget) just a nice, cohesive home using every pack available. Not an every room challenge though, mix em all up.
Not sure if you read the comments but please consider the feedback people are giving you. You have a video from July with this same premise “8 people in a starter home” where the outside looks pretty similar to this (square looking brick house). I would love to see builds with more variety to the themes than just base game cheap furniture

Kayla makes a lot of base game stuff for those who want to download her builds and can’t afford all the different packs. I do not believe she lacks creativity, you can see multiple times how many packs she can use in one starter home. By only using the base game, it’s challenging for her and more accessible for us. If Kayla could use whatever packs, this would be a breeze. With the eco-lifestyle debug objects being only 25 and other packs containing cheaper furniture. I appreciate Kayla showcasing that you don’t need lots of packs or cc to make good quality, affordable builds! Kayla has a lot of builds where she doesn’t just use base game, for example, renovating lots from packs, not-so-berry challenge builds, that sort of stuff :)
can you pls just build a house with NO restrictions. Build what you wanna build. Build using all the packs. Build with no budget. Build with as many or as few sims as you like. Plssss
I really enjoy watching Kayla's videos, but I feel a lot of the viewers, like myself, don't even play that much and don't download the houses, we watch because it's entertaining, calming, and fun. I'd love to see her creativity shine and see her build whatever she wants, with all the packs and all the different tools that the sims 4 has available. I feel like she always use the same furniture and the houses all end up looking the same :(

I so badly wish there were more swatches for the standard, pastel, etc basic wallpapers and the outside basic siding... there's basic siding that don't have matching colors that come with the corner columns ;-;
Maybe next time you don't have a back door, therefore no reason for a back yard... Push the house to the back of the lot! Give it a big front yard. A few debug bushes could really class the house up!
I love these sort of videos, the random budget for each room inspired me so I made one myself, at the end the house had a "beautiful" study (scratches everywhere as they were free and other stuff that were cheap) and a bathroom of upmost quality (aka a bush)
how many base game houses do people need? most players have atleast one pack, many have more. also earning money in the sims is quite easy theres no need for this many starter homes. it feels like you restrict it to base game to make it easier for you to build the same house again and again without even thinking, you could probably build this in your sleep. its just laziness at this point
Same! I can't tell her builds apart anymore which is a shame cause I love when she does something new like that vet clinic she did recently. Also, I know that a lot of TH-camrs film their intros for the new viewers, but the way she always explains every challenge exactly the same for way too long in each intro really doesn't help differentiate between her videos. I mean how hard can it be to figure out what EA restrictions challenges, starter homes and shells are that we need them explained to the tiniest detail every single time. The explanation was surprisingly short in this video tho, I have to say.
She does base game and pack retraction has she said before she like to do them for more people to dow them and she does other ones to. Bc had a lot people have many pack there are still just has many who might have only base game or a pack or 2 and if she only did a butch of pack build where they would never get to download them. For the longest time I just has base game and I'm just starting to get more packs. I watch lilsimsie daily rewatching her video so I here her say daily that she try to do basegame build and build with pack evenly so everyone has a fair chance of playing in her builds
I would love to see kayla do this challenge but with the actual amount yu get when you start with 8 sims. She said you get 30ksomething, so i'd love to see a build with that amount, rather than trying to stick to 20k.

How is this a really hard challenge? You've been building '8-Sims cheap house' for years now. You want to really hard challenge for yourself? Build a house thinking what a real family with 6 kids might need. For parents, this isn't their first house, this is their 'we desperately need more room before we murder half of them' house. They will focus on layout, functionality, durability, and comfort. They will want to know the reason for placement of rooms, which child (age) will be using it; they will want a safe place for kids to play (like a fenced yard); if they leave anywhere with 'seasons', they will want some sort of a mud hall, where kids will leave their coats and schoolbags etc; a laundryroom; a place for work from home; dining room for the whole family... Want an ultra-hard challenge? Make 2 of those 8 sims seniors who have trouble to climb stairs - try making it barrier-free.
the sims added a new feature to were if you don't have the pack when you download something, they replace it with something with a pack you do have. so i downloaded this and i didn't have dream home decorator so they replaced the rug with the little teal bath mats. and it was so funny lmao
Hasn't it been like that forever? I actually would prefer it if they just left it empty because most of the time the item they replace the missing stuff with doesn't look good in that spot.

If you dont use only basegame it's totally possible to make a cute 8 sim house for 20k, especially if it's a single story. I love lil simsie but this could have been better, she always does the same things and makes the same mistakes
@@pietrofattorello there's one that she uploaded a month ago and it's so similar to this one, except that the rooms were a bit more colorful. So many things are the same as in this one like the flowers, windows, wallpaper, counters etc.
Love this house and I have a question for you: How do stay motivated to stick with one family through many generations and feel so comfortable with your previous generations dying from existence? I have trouble really sticking to the one family and would feel really sad from their deaths that I wouldn't want to continue.
For the low lying plants in debug, there’s a second one that’s darker and it’s higher up on the debug list. It’s just that plant needs to be sized down to look like the one that you buy.
Every time Kayla turns a ground floor bump-out into a bedroom it give me anxiety. You have room for three spaces to the right of the stairs - naturally, they should become the living room, kitchen, and dining room. This leaves the entire space to the left of the stairs to be used as 2 bedrooms and a bath. (In this case, the stairs would also go a bit to the right and closer to the front of the house.)
The technically not cheating way to start with a decent budget for building homes is you move one sim on to the lot and then go to edit household and create a sim via story. That starts them with a career, some skills, and the thing you really want, a starting budget (which then gets added to the family budget when they move in). I did this incrementally sim by sim so I am not sure if you would get the same results if you did them all at once as opposed to piece meal.
You could have use the right room downstairs as the kitchen and remove the wall to make it sorta open concept then have the dining on where you put the kitchen originally, behind the living room. Because that right room downstairs is not needed because it's for a ninth sim. But nice job still, Lilsimsie 👍
Love watching these kind of challenges! But if you really want to challenge yourself lilsimsie you should try to build a house on the EA Sims FreePlay! That is a real challenge LOL

If you dont use only basegame it's totally possible to make a cute 8 sim house for 20k, especially if it's a single story. I love lil simsie but this could have been better, she always does the same things and makes the same mistakes

@@pietrofattorello there's one that she uploaded a month ago and it's so similar to this one, except that the rooms were a bit more colorful. So many things are the same as in this one like the flowers, windows, wallpaper, counters etc.
Love this house and I have a question for you: How do stay motivated to stick with one family through many generations and feel so comfortable with your previous generations dying from existence? I have trouble really sticking to the one family and would feel really sad from their deaths that I wouldn't want to continue.
For the low lying plants in debug, there’s a second one that’s darker and it’s higher up on the debug list. It’s just that plant needs to be sized down to look like the one that you buy.

Every time Kayla turns a ground floor bump-out into a bedroom it give me anxiety. You have room for three spaces to the right of the stairs - naturally, they should become the living room, kitchen, and dining room. This leaves the entire space to the left of the stairs to be used as 2 bedrooms and a bath. (In this case, the stairs would also go a bit to the right and closer to the front of the house.)
do this but using the cheapest items in any pack (or maybe not the cheapest but use any pack so you can use cheaper ones that look nice)

The technically not cheating way to start with a decent budget for building homes is you move one sim on to the lot and then go to edit household and create a sim via story. That starts them with a career, some skills, and the thing you really want, a starting budget (which then gets added to the family budget when they move in). I did this incrementally sim by sim so I am not sure if you would get the same results if you did them all at once as opposed to piece meal.
You could have use the right room downstairs as the kitchen and remove the wall to make it sorta open concept then have the dining on where you put the kitchen originally, behind the living room. Because that right room downstairs is not needed because it's for a ninth sim.

But they give you more money for starter when you create 8 sims, why it should be only 20000 simoleons?
