Samson is so lucky to have you adopt him! Thank you for doing that. The world needs more Wonky Donkey rescue centres! I have always hated seeing donkeys abused by overstuffing their backs with items to carry, then discarding them when the're too exhausted, or mistreating them simply because they're donkeys. It's great to see someone treating them with love and care that they so deserve. All animals deserve kindness! Dr Scott, I hope you make videos with updates on Samson. Thank you to all! Sending love from Canada!
By extension, it is heart-warming for me to see others, including you and your colleagues, who put themselves out to save and love animals. Right now, I can't own an animal but I do sponsor and care for animals as a volunteer and whatever I can afford. My eyes were opened to donkeys in Petra January 2001. The Bedouins work with donkeys and depend on them. But humans didn't have enough food, I observed nor their animals. A few days on, in a 'trick' to rob me, two little boys (one not more than 3) tripped me and tried to rob me. They failed but I picked them up - Damascus - and sat them down. I gave them money for food and then I gave them money for school. I took them to the grocer and we negotiated prices with an interpreter. Then home to their house and then to the school where I paid for their education. I still help. Later, I received a letter from a relief organization asking for financial help. I checked out the organization and donated. That was 20 years ago. I still do so. Thank you for these precious videos. Maybe we can make mankind a little better toward rest of animal kingdom as we are not often kind to our own species, one another. I try to help that along too. I have some means. I might add that in Christian religion, donkeys played a big role in the birth of Jesus. How could Mary have traveled without a donkey 9 months pregnant and ready to give birth? The donkey as well as Joseph and the other animals and a few people were the heroes and heroines. May all be blessed this season and beyond. May all remember to let a human or other animal into your heart and home. I sit and feed homeless now for over 18 years. Often they are severely damaged people in the same way a donkey or other animal is abused. They need a hand. They are not scum. I started doing so after I hit the ground losing my job, my man, and endured fractured health. A few helped, most ran. I mustered the courage to help others and it empowered me. I have never stopped.
My parents winter home(for snow recreation) was located across the street from a home that had 2 donkeys, Hehah and Dorris. They were the sweetest donkeys I have ever encountered. Their souls were so beautiful and they were especially bonded to the postman, their owner. As time went on, they also grew fond of my dad and his visits. When Dorris died(she had a tumor in her brain) Hehah was so devastated by the loss. As he started to come out of his sorrow, John(his owner) was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and stomach cancer. Hehah knew, he was totally in tune with what was going on. It was so depressing to see the heartbreak that Hehah suffered after John died. The purpose of my telling this memory was sparked by seeing Sampson skin and bones clips. Hehah looked like this before he died a few months after John, but he was not a case of abuse and neglect, but a case of deep sorrow and loss. I learned from him how intelligent and soulful donkeys are. Hehah’s responce to death was so human, so heartfelt and renching that he gave up on wanting to live. It didn’t matter how much the vet tried or anyone else tried and he just withered away to skin and bones and died. Seeing Sampson brought me to tears. I will do my very best to help. I pray that Sampson and all the other donkeys at Wonky Donkey have a wonderful and fulfilling life.

I don't care for this program I rather see you doing your practice. I watched you ever time I could.
hi
I adore Donkeys. If Jesus could ride into Jerusalem as a King on a Donkey how could anyone harm one?
❤🫂
The sponsor idea is wonderful. I think they should make the letters more personal. Instead of, 'Dear Friend', why not, 'Dear Scott'?
❤
