Cycling in London #17 • Elephant & Castle • Camberwell • Peckham • Walworth Road

A lovely weekday morning ride from the famous Elephant and Castle Roundabout to Peckham Library.
The ride starts off under the railway bridges on New Kent Road and from there we head west to the Elephant & Castle Roundabout. This roundabout used to be so chaotic for cyclists - it was always a mad panic to navigate safely around this giant circus, but thankfully recent road layout changes have dramatically improved the safety of cyclists and pedestrians.
We head south along Walworth Road and onto Camberwell Road down to Camberwell Green where we turn left to head east along Peckham Road.
The total length of this ride was 4.55 km (2.83 mi). The video was taken in the summer of 2023.
