See, None of the LIC policies will give good return if you surrender before because you will not get the return which you are expecting.
So my advise is to you to maintain the policy till the balance term so that you will get the maximum return on it.

Does one need to visit the branch personally in order to submit the forms or can it be done online or sent by post? If by post, where to send? I ask as I do not reside in India for the last two years.

1 - no it is not necessary that policy holder has to visit the branch for surrender, he just sign the documents and send it to branch through any person or even post.
2 - Post has to send on the servicing branch address only.

Sir mera Lic policy ka maturity date hai 28/8/2023. Agent ne kaha ki before maturity karke paisa withdraw kar sakte hai, 28/8/2022 par. Kya ye sahi hai?
yes it is possible but usme apko kaafi loss hoga toh aise cases mein recommedation rehti hey ki maturity compelte term hone par hi le.

sir kya aap bata sakte hai mujhe total kitna paisa milega after maturity. My policy is jeevan saral plan 165. I pay 3002 rupees per yearly. I opened it in 2011 for 15 years. Maturity year is 2026

मेरी एक पॉलिसी है 2007 की money plus T No 180. इसमें 3 साल तक 15000/- प्रीमियम जमा किया था. 2010 में SV 55000/- मिल रही थी तब मैंने सरेंडर नहीं की. अब ये policy foreclosed बता रहा. इसकी आज की SV कैसे calculate करेंगे ?

Plan 20 years ka tha...

You can visit the branch to cancel the policy... you just need to give the written request with reason for cancellation to cancle the policy.

No, original cancelled cheque hi dena hoga... Else you have to submit the photo copy of pass book with showing original to the LIC Officer.

if you wanted to surrender then yes you can.
But it is not advisable to surrender the life insurance policy.
Loan lene pe uska emi ni dena pdta ky ?
loan against LIC Policy le rahey hey to LIC ki taraf se koi fix EMI Nahi hoti hey but meri personal advise yahi rehti hey ki aapke pass jaise hi paisa aaye turant or monthly usko pay karte rahey.

1 - apko apne sabhi documents servicing LIC branch mein submit karne honge for surrender.
2 - Agar apko jarurat nahi hey to Agent ke bina bhi aap directly surrender karwa sakte ho.

Maine courier kiya hai branch me aur 20 days hogaye hai policy receive hokar abhi tak koi response nai. Policy ko surrender kiya before maturity
please check the speed post delivery status and then call the branch for the same.
