I hired Upack for my move from East TX to MS (a 300 mile move) and it cost me $570 for one cube $670 for two. Might as well get a second cube initially just to be safe.
whether they bring one cube or two cubes to your house, they make just one round trip--bring cube(s), take away cube(s). if you don't need all of the cubes, they still only have to make one round trip to take ALL of the cubes away (empty or full). if you decide you need another cube after they've already delivered the first one, that becomes TWO round trips that they have to make to your house because they have to give you time to load the second. it's extra travel/delivery expense for them.
here's what I don't get, they say if you rent two cubes but only end up needing one you will not be charged for second one. However other way around rent one but then say oopsie wont fit need another one, now I have to pay x amount more for a new cube to be delivered! So why would anyone rent just one? Why not just be on safe side and rent two? I feel there is a catch somewhere that I'm missing.
