This scene is perfect in SO many ways. The comedic timing and acting is off the charts by all involved. Selma is painfully gorgeous. Fred Williamson ( whom I always thought had perfect looks ) is astounding here and Tom Savini is hilariously brilliant. Keitel takes an unusually crazy turn playing an out-of-shape, over-the-hill minister that definitely works. Last, but certainly not least, Clooney brilliantly leads this quirky assortment of characters.🙂
The vampire got his heart ripped out, and he shrugs it off like nothing. So Clooney and the priest just beat the ever living crap out of him with sticks. That was funny as hell.
Honestly, I kinda like that detail, how the heart must be *destroyed* and as long as its in tact the vampire can still live, kinda like a zombie getting its lower half obliterated but the brain is still in tact. But at that same time the heart was *removed* from the body and therefor couldn't serve the vampire anymore, so I'm not entirely sure how to feel about that XD (but at the same time their supernatural creatures so *shrugs*)

Salma Hayek was extremely afraid of snakes. Most people are, and she wasn't going to take the part because it required her to dance with a live snake. Then her agent or somebody pointed out the all star cast she'd be working with and a famous director, that being Tarantino. This would be really big for her career so she worked with a professional snake handler and his snakes for a month. Then having mastered her phobia gave us a convincing performance with a live boa and her career took off. Good on her as I too wouldn't have been too crazy about handling that snake. :)
