Yep, and he’s got a Melina tattoo on his chest. Actually he got a lot of awesome tattoos, but it’s all make sense only for Russians, cause he got Russian prison tattoos, and I got a say, they’re fire🔥🔥🔥
He also has the letters of "Karl Marx" tattooed on his fingers.
I really liked the movie. The characters were great, had an enjoyable story, and really good action. And while I understand people's complaints about Taskmaster, I was fine with her. Since it was part of the story about Natasha's mistake and redemption. And plus they make it really easy just to replace her for a different Taskmaster.
I totally agree I actually felt like it was better with Dreykov as the “main villain” because it gave the movie a deeper meaning, and I feel like the people who didn’t like taskmaster didn’t really get the meaning behind Dreykov, and it made sense for the taskmaster to be his daughter instead of just a random person.
The funny thing is, ppl don't actually pay attention to the movie so they just assume things even though Marvel has done this multiple times in the movies 🤣 she wasn't even called task master, the PROGRAM was called task master. Subtle details

the film was bland and really cringe on the bad russian accents. the fight choreography and editing wasnt impressive either. i was expecting another Captain America: The Winter Soldier but instead i got the bourne legacy crossed with iron man 2. this one is much better than those 2 though.
It's sad how every reactor seems to have forgotten that face copying masks have been around for a while in The Winter Soldier, Agents of Shield, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

People don't understand that Taskmaster wasn't the villain, she was a victim. Besides I hope they bring back this taskmaster in future movies too. Maybe taskmaster can be a hero instead!
The main problem is that wasn't in any form "taskmaster" More like a minion of a main villain. Taskmaster isnt good in any form. And the tease was of an actual taskmaster.

I think this is going into one of my top five Marvel movies! I’m not usually one for the stand alone Avenger movies, I think the only ones I really liked were the Spider-Man ones and Thor Ragnarok but this is really my type of movie

Yo lil' sis was about to get choked out! Run it back it wasn't a tie, look at Natasha's face she was scared she was about to kill Yelana so she threw her hand up to call a truce. Also keep in mind with Marvel movies once something is introduced everything is on the table, like Kang, the Mandarin, and possibly the Task Master with the Multi-Verse there is sure to be different variations of characters from Earth 616 & 1610 maybe even the 2099 universe.

I agree, I loved the movie but since Black Widow was the only widow that escaped the Red Room I wished that gave us a scene on how she escaped I know they explained but I would have loved to see it .
Yeah they teased the training & Hawkeye and her in Budapest but they didn’t even show it to us. They skipped the training :(

Lol, I remember watching this movie and seeing all the death and adult themes only to look beside me and see two kids, one *explaining* to the other why black widow cannot have kids. They couldn't have been older than 10... Like wut? 😂
Lmao I think people don't realize that this is probably the reason BW didn't get a movie for so long. When you get deep into her story it's straight up brutal and disturbing & they wanted to keep her feeling like a marketable superhero. Also makes sense they'd have Cap Marvel be the first woman led movie cause an OP female superhero is easier to sell than an assassin lol the movie probably wouldn't have worked as well if they did it too early.

Taskmaster is not a villain, the character was the villain's muscle in this version. Even in the books Taskmaster trained soldiers for the mafia

A pretty solid movie. Once again it would’ve been better if this movie was released originally in early phase 2 or 3.
I liked the cast. Yelena was PERFECT. Taskmaster though didn’t need to be in this. Could’ve been just been some super female widow soldier or something and would’ve been fine.

Its either Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers they are tryin to form, if Red Hulk would be on it, that would be awesome. Remember Zemo and Gen. Ross is in the MCU already.
Love it personally and while I Liked the action scenes. I absolutely loved the family scenes even more. I also would like to add that this is probably is the darkest marvel film to date. It dealt with some serious drama issues as well as child slavery and women exploration. The part about Nat's guilt was very well handled - and ScarJo did a WONDERFUL job portraying that. The reveal made a lot of sense in relation to the film's themes as well as Dreykov's disregard and manipulation of young women. I know it may have been disappointing and anticlimatic to some, but it mayde Dreykov an even darker figure IMO. "The only natural resource the world has too much of... girls." His delivery made me sick to my stomach as a father with a daughter. That being said the film is an enjoyable spy genre film set in the MCU and her journey came in full circle.
Florence Pugh (british actress who plays Yelena) is a great actress, one of my personal favourites and when i heard she was going to be the next Black Widow i was no excited...couldn't have picked a better person IMO. She hasn't been in a huge amount of other things that i know of personally...but there was a great wrestling film she was in called Fighting with my Family which was a tribute film to a fairly famous British female wrestler called Paige and Florence played Paige. It was basically the story of Paige's career and how it began. Anyway i love her in this film...great stuff.
Great reaction, I love this movie, Yelena was for sure a scene stealer, in the comics Taskmaster is Tony Masters from Brooklyn who actually had the mutant gene that made him able to mimic anything he sees

I think the taskmaster being the daughter was the perfect closure for black widow since she was the biggest regret Natasha has and been trying to make up for it ever since by joining shield and the avengers.
I think that Red Guardian actually did fight Captain America, why else would he ask Natasha about Cap when she could just easily call him out if he was lying. Although Steve was still frozen in ice, that just means that it was probably Isaiah Bradley he was fighting
good theory, but i don't think he would confuse isaiah with mister white boy rogers. if he was asking natasha about it, it could imply she knew about isaiah, which possibly contradicts the fact that it was a very closely hidden secret that only bucky and certain hydra/shield members knew about

He could have fought post Endgame Steve who actually lived through the 80s. He obviously had a new shield made seeing as his was destroyed by Thanos but he had one to give to Sam. He could have been low-key avengering in the past

We know Natasha probably doesn't know Isaiah, but Alexey doesn't know that and he probably asked anyway assuming that all American superheroes are Avengers or at least know each other.
Natasha didn't put the bomb in the girls backpack.
Natasha and Hawkeye planted the office with bombs while Draykov was out of the office. It was the Budapest mission her and Hawkeye always mention.
Natasha waited for the little girl to walk into the place because they needed confirmation Draykov was in the building and that was Natasha confirmation. Draykov's daughter wouldnt be there if he wasn't and he wouldnt prevent her from playing in the window where as he would avoid it to not give away his position.
My new fav Marvel movie.
My direction for Taskmaster would be that they copied the REAL TASKMASTERS brain patters to mimic his copying abilities. They used Drakovs daughter because she was essentially brain damaged and was a "clean slate" to paste the chip onto her mind.
Taskmaster does anything for money and if someone wanted to study his brain for big $$$$, he would do it. Plus he has memory loss of his real life because of his abilities and he always wanted stop the loss of memory. So if they can figure out how to stop him from memory loss, its a plus.
Taskmaster also sometimes has his own mercenary army who are also "task masters" just not as good as him the "original".
Baby Widow little sis with Mom and Dad were the best parts of the movie.
People are hating on this movie and I just don't get it. It has one of the strongest openings of any marvel movie, solid action, and the actors of the "family" were all stellar performances. I think this is one of the greats.

I bet task master will come back. Remember Drakov said "Task Master protocol" so I think that the real task master will show later because he will believe that it's unearned. This is only my theory.
Task Master is a man named Anthony "Tony" Masters. I personally after watching it a second time I can finally give it the benefit of doubt because she had body modifications done to her. She's pretty much a cyborg. Also she definitely has some physical strength that of a super soldier, the fight on the bridge really show her capabilities. When she kicks Nat off the bridge. Yeah just saying a second viewing for me was a must. I also watched it the second time in a theatre.

I thought act 1 and 2 was so strong I loved all the dark backstory with the black widows but in true marvel fashion they had to do those big spectacle action set pieces in the end I don't think it was needed I wanted the red room to feel more dark and grounded I just want more Black widow and red room lore the film left me wanting more from Natasha and Yelena their chemistry was excellent, I think the director did a fab job just felt like Marvel poked their nose in at the end.
Here's to hoping for a black widow 2 in the future with Yelena
Absolutely my thoughts. If Marvel had just let Cate Shortland (director) and Scarlett do their thing, it would've been phenomenal. I still absolutely loved this movie but I would have preferred if they kept the grounded, spy feel.

I thought it was great, you know what you're going to get with a Marvel movie, they'll hit some serious points, add some humor, and allot of action setpieces. I'm so glad they didn't make it a rah rah girl power movie, they were badasses who happen to be women, not women who happened to be badasses if that makes sense? They didn't go down the route of see women can do this too, or cheesy like that scene in end game.

Task Master could come back as she still has her abilities she's just no longer under control of her dad. I wouldn't be surprised if she were brought in as back up against Hawkeye.

Ngl I enjoyed it pretty decently until the ending. Not to mention, that green screen when they was jumping off the red room was APPALLING. Like it looked so bad. But, hot take, Taskmaster wasn’t that bad, at least the way they used her for the story of the movie. Comic taskmaster wouldn’t have worked here (but then it comes down to not needing to insert him into this movie anyways, could’ve used a different villain that made more sense).
I give the movie a 7.5/10 just because of the way task master was done. I hope that it’s a mandarin situation where this is not the real one I’m hoping she has a brother or something that is the real one that can show up in the future
@bankroll E 97 yeah movie definitely not bad like people are saying I enjoyed it a lot more then some of the other marvel movies just a minor complaint but other than that real good movie to watch and have fun I still haven’t watch it a second time so I might do that and see how I see the movie now

when i first watched it it ws pretty good but watching it with u guys made the movie a 9.5/10
I do rescue and recovery of sex trafficked girls age 6-17. The horrors they go through cause of teaching females are insignificant and only for male pleasure is sickening. We hate slavery but billions help keep millions in it by taking free will away in body purchasing, snuffing, r*pe, and objectification. Our place has 30 beds and we get 200 calls a month of battered girls needing help - just in our state alone. Appreciate y'all speaking up on free will and the sadness of this movie's topic. Derkov in opening montage was with multiple world leaders OVER DECADES...TM trained both assassins and government types like the CIA...Derkov saw him in real life action and created a program to copy and inserted it into his daughter to have his own Widow Task Master basically...THANKS for having logical sense unlike some of the other reactors who just crying about it wasn't the original comic version...TM WILL show up in another movie TRUST! This is why I watch ya'll because ya'll can see beyond the surface...Marvel is known for their surprises...like fake Mandarin to only give us REAL Mandarin...he was there all along like the Eternals its just NOW he has a reason to really show himself...I Love you guys keep up the good work!

I think those who went in with expectations for Taskmaster didn’t love this movie but for me I was always a fan of Taskmaster but figured he would be a one off character and be changed quite a bit to explain his powers in the comics….and I personally loved what they did. But I get those who didnt

I like the movie, I dont read comics, so I didnt knew the Taskmaster, so was ok with me, the only thing for me is that when I I imagined the Black Widow movie was always a prequel to her before entering shield, and how Hawkeye and Natasha met, but I understand that since the movie was made very late and after Endgame, they had to do something different, I like the dinamic betwen the sisters, and give a farewell to Natasha
6.5/10 and that’s only because I’m being nice. Do not let your MCU bias show. Compared to every other movie from the MCU, this falls flat.

The movie showed child trafficking, it mentions involuntary hysterectomy, being controlled, shows redemption, obviously saving lives, and family. This movie was well done. I feel like ppl were ready for the movie to be decent to lackluster yet at the end viewers appreciated it more than they thought they would. There have been many movies recently with female leads yet werent the best sadly, but black widow was handled and done nicely. That intro also goes HARDDDD. If anything, I would have loved to experience young natasha before and then AFTER the Ohio mission in the red room, then teenage natasha until she goes rogue with Hawkeye after her to them doing her transition to shield. We would also experience a more cold and serious natasha. It's something I really wanted to see,but I enjoyed this film and appreciated the topics it touched. I also loved how clean the fights were. Captain America 2-The winter soldier was one of my favorite marvel movies due to the emotion,comedy, teacups and the hand to hand fight choreography, this BW movie definitely had nice fight scenes that I was waiting for. I also love that we will see yelena again, I hope we see Alexei and melina too and we see what happens with the other girls. I also feel bad for clint though lmao. I do think that clint would make it out if yelena fought him, clint is a very skilled af, but this would also be yelena kinda putting it out there that natasha had family outside the avengers. Clint had such a close bond with nat though, him and nat saved eachothers lives and bonded in a way that I think surpasses many typical bonds. Even in the avengers,both kinda stuck to eachother cuz they were the closest. Clint and nat were like two halves of the same coin,like a sibling soulmate type of bond, and he gained his family back when nat sacrificed herself, but her death also meant that he lost a piece of his heart. so I hope yelena and clint bond,that's kinda why I went in expressing how close nat and clint were. Yelena and Clint could definitely bond or grieve together, even if it's a short chat and if kate and yelena go at it, I wouldnt mind them becoming a duo
Also I feel like if they didn’t do Taskmaster in the way they did like this…it could have been even worse at least to the general audience who doesn’t know who Taskmaster is. Because the movie is fairly grounded for the most part and introducing a super human who can mimic everything he sees anyone do instantly would be a bit messy just sayin.

Best reaction to the movie in TH-cam so far
This movie started off REAL strong in the beginning. I'd say after the first half, it all went downhill. And i mean STRAIGHT down.
Well it was the Task master protocol. So the suit plus the chip in the neck makes who task master is here plus there has been more then one task masters' in the comics just like the green goblin and others. It is a title.
This movie was great. It had action, a great story and was funny when it was appropriate. One glaring hole in the plot of the mind control though was when Malina was supposed to have used the mind control to make the pig stop breathing. Well breathing is not something our minds control directly, but is rather an autonomic function of our biology so it could not be controlled by a third party as they depicted in the film. The best they could do is make the subject, in this case the pig, hold their breathe and just like any good parent knows for those times when their child may threaten to hold their breathe all they have to do is wait for the kid to pass out and they will automatically start breathing again.
The whole thing was not something I really cared if it was scientifically plausible or not, but just something I like to point out as a minor flaw in the plot. Marvel makes great, fun films, but they are not perfect.
Yeah Wells, I do think Taskmaster's shield is made out of Adamantium as well.
Task master copies black widow captain America winter soldier Spider-Man black panther and Hawkeye in this movie what’s funny is task masters tech is similar to ironmans seeing how. It analyzes fight patterns and probabilities so in a sense Ironman is copied also

They did taskmaster so dirty I don’t give a shit that it’s a female taskmaster because it’s actually fit well with what the plot was foretelling however the execution of taskmaster was pretty bad taskmaster was just a mindless body guard with no personality or even character depth, considering how dope taskmaster is in the comics and his dialogues, but the movie was decent 8/10

I agree with Jerry, they really watered down Taskmaster...and wellz your taste is trash if you think this beats iron man and the other top marvel movies, this was like a 7 outta 10
