There are a lot of bad memories I'd want to not remember or relive though.
To the new generations: Back then, this song didn't sound so corny or dated as it might now. It's a matter of context. Also, it didn't aspire to be "serious", or "art", it was meant to be a fun, uplifting song. If you wanted artsy stuff back then, you listened to The Cure or Pixies. If you wanted serious, you listened to Soundgarden. Just picture how James Blunt will sound twenty years from now and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yes, it's her! Its amazing how all the Nelson kids look so much alike, and you just can tell they're related! I never got to see them in concert when I was a teen; boy did I miss out! Matt was my crush bigtime! It's sad they lost their dad at such an important time in their lives, too. I'll always remember Ricky Nelson's songs because my parents liked him, and still listen to his music today, and I'll never forget Matt and Gunnar's music either! Such down to earth guys from anything I've seen as far as interviews, etc. Tracy was on the TV show "Father Dowling Mysteries" too. That was a great show. Ozzie and Harriet was a great show too! Just a good family all around.

Not really a member of the new generation (I was 7 when this came out), but I can assure you it doesn't sound dated. Good music rarely does.
