CA is a super course. Try to learn all the investment banking gigs eg. DCF, comparable companies analysis modeling etc. And then shoot your shot at top investment banks. GS, JP Morgan etc. You'll surely get into it.

I could honestly relate to you quite a bit, I did my bachelor's in BFM too! I was always intrigued by how the financial markets worked hence chose the field and now I work at KPMG as a tax analyst because-as you said, you can't really into investment banking firms without prior experience in it. I had a friend who worked there, he said they were hiring for analysts at that time, the job postings were available via their career page but I went in thru his referral since I could. Although there were some of my peers who had applied thru the career page, so I'd say your chances are good even if you don't apply using a refferal as long as you meet their requirements.

@@ravilohkna2155 While it is good that you have clarity on what you want to do, whether you are from Science/Commerce/Humanities it doesn't really matter, what matters is the clarity of concepts. For IB I would strongly suggest that one should complete MBA from Tier 1 institutes (read top 40 Institutes in India). If you can't make it to Tier I suggest you get some work experience and then try again. There are successful examples of candidates from Lower rung institutes as well, but those are very few. Probability of getting an IB interview call for a candidate in BLACKIS (IIM's) in itself is quite low, let alone getting one from Tier 2 institutes. Hope this answers. ATB
