I am glad that Heat was number one. But you missing one True Romance (1993). The climatic shootout near the end of the film at the Beverly Ambassador gets everyone killed, police, gang members and body guards after police are investigating a stolen cocaine ring. It is amazing.
The one in Wind River plays right after the flashback to how the girl Natalie passed away was very well done. Jeremy Renner’s character being a sniper camouflaged by the snow and then taking one of the guys who SA’ed Natalie to the top of the mountain and giving him a chance to run barefoot like she did to try and survive. No words.
“Equilibrium” (2002) should’ve made the list. When the movie came out, people instantly regarded it as a “Matrix knock-off.” It kind of is, but as a dystopian movie, it’s awesome.
There is no doubt that Heat had to be #1. I think what made it top tier was the rawness of the scene itself. No intense music playing in the background. No slow mo effects. Just the sound of gunfire in the streets of Downtown L.A.

Wild River (2017) - One of the best drama Thriller film. The final stand-off shootout scene looks realistic, raw and brutal. Lone Survivor (2013) - The second acted of the movie was so damn good The shootout scene looks so real and all 4 actors trained by real Navy Seal before the film start to shoot. No Country For Old Men (2007) - The motel shootout and chase scene was good too, so quiet but intense.
Certain movies were a given on this list--Heat, Die Hard, Terminator 2, etc. But I'm just wondering--am I the only one who thinks The Untouchables is *WAY overrated?* Brian De Palma's style absolutely worked in Scarface. But he tried way too hard to recreate it for The Untouchables. The scene here is just weird, including the "suspenseful" music and slow-motion scene of the baby going down the stairs (which went on for way too long), all shot in too many arbitrary angles. And this is just example. The soundtrack was garbage, too. I grew up in the Midwest and *SO* wanted to love this movie. But I thought it sucked. I just do not get the praise at all.
