This brings back memories. When I was about 15, I used to work at a trail riding place. We had about 40 horses and when they weren't being ridden, they were kept out in the fields on the farm (which was about 100 acres). We'd walk out there on foot to go get them, they knew the routine and as soon as they saw us, they'd begin galloping towards the corral! I knew every one of them, from kid's ponies to a massive Clydesdale named Sargent! My favourite horse was an OTTB named Telstar. He was a liver chestnut, a lead horse, and he was so great to ride, you could do anything with him! To see them all running down the lane to the corral was quite something, then we'd pick them out, one by one, and tack them all up, ready for when the kids arrived...
