Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! I have a few of these cakes(I'm obsessed the them) and I don't want to make a shawl. A shawl I won't wear. 😂 A nice top with my yarn will get worn and well worth the time! 😍😍😍😍👍👍
I understand that one Diana! I’m working on some more like this that will be coming in the weeks ahead. Together we will take care of those cotton cakes!😊❤️❤️❤️
@@BonnieBayCrochet Sounds like a fantastic plan! 😁 I love making shawls, but they don't get worn. I've been looking at the cakes every day, wondering what they will become.🤔😉
I really like this shell. I'm not a seasoned crocheter, but think I can make this. One could even add a sleeve to change it up a little. I just ordered your pattern and yarn to make the sweater from your prior video. Thank you so much. These instructional videos are great.
Just bought pattern. Making 3 adult size 'ugly' Christmas jerseys but they don't need to be finished till Christmas. So I'm starting this tomorrow, will add short sleeve as a winter T shirt top
@@BonnieBayCrochet loving this. Indeed I love the wattle stitch, as we used it in 'my first crocheted sweater '. Had to rip back and go down a size after my rib. Not a hardship when it's a fun project. Especially as I did foundation double crochet as my cast on so no redoing my least favourite row. Just ripped out 21sts. Have a blessed day 🙏
@@francesf527 I just found the red/pink top I made of this design as I was bringing out my clothes for the warmer months ahead. I'm so ready for the nice weather now!
I like it a lot! I might try it in a solid color first because I don’t know if I could continue the gradient effect as well as you did. I need to buy more yarn now. 😅
Thank you bonnie for your videos and your excellent written patterns. Im working on this pattern now. Will the seam be in the middle of the back or on one side. I havent reached this part yet but im afraid the seam will be on the back and might be visible. Thank you from all your fans in egypt
Hello Bonnie, what a beauty, i've been busy with the Pecan Throw. Finished... XXooo from France,. Is it your mother in law on the picture ? My Gosh, she is what a wonderful woman, my best to her
I couldn’t wait until you put this tutorial out I remember on your Live video you were talking about it! Beautiful Top❣️ where did you purchase the yarn, I don’t know if you mentioned it Thank You 😊
I am a beginner, and have not made any clothes yet. I would love to make this, but am not familiar with the (ribbing?) stitch you are using. Do you have a tutorial for that? Thank you so much!!
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thank you!! Your videos have helped me so much! Looking forward to making my first shirt, and since there aren't any arms I won't end up with extra sleeves. 😉
What is the stitch multiple? I'm in between a medium and a large size and just want to make it a bit bigger than the medium, but I'm fairly new to crochet and not sure how to do that. 189 chains was too small but 210 chains was too big. Can you help?
You can add multiples of 6 to the original starting chain, but will need to calculate that in when counting the wattle stitches that make up the front and back of the top.
Is it15 inches or 17 inches? In one place you say 17inches or15 inches? I crocheted to 17 inches and then a couple or seconds later you say at 15 inches to start the arm hole. Please help. I'm confused.

I love it. Great when you show the stich into a garment, so you can see the increase and decrease of the stich. Looks lovely on your mum too. x

Love it!!! It's on my list! Thank you so much and, I must repeat myself, you explain everything so easily.
Thanks Bonnie I've been wanting to try making a summer top. You make it look easy!
That is really pretty, I think I'd try that for the first time in a solid color but I love the top
It will be even easier to make in a solid since you won't have to worry about color changes!
Very pretty! I could hear this top calling me.😁

Very nice. MIght try it.Have to many UFOs right now. 😊❤
Very pretty!
I purchased the pattern as not so good at following videos 😄 fingers crossed it turns out nicely when I get round to it!
Also keep a shirt/top that you enjoy handy so you can check the sizing as you work this…just to be within the size you need.

You could, but may be a bit chunky.

¡Gracias Marta! Se lo haré saber a mi suegra. ¡Eso es muy dulce de tu parte!
Working the pattern that means continuing around even under the farms
Only until you begin the front/back sections which are worked in rows.

Can we continue this top and make a dress
You can, but it is crocheted from the bottom up. You may want to make it wider at the bottom should you do that Christina.
