- Unsure how to adjust the clutch on your CT 110 Trail Postie bike? In this video you'll see how to quickly & easily carry out this basic maintenance task.
With the engine turned off, slacken the 14mm lock nut & prevent the bolt from turning with a flat bladed screwdriver. Next, turn the screw one full turn clockwise, then turn back anti-clockwise until slight resistance is felt. Now turn clockwise 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn & tighten the lock nut, once again using the screwdriver to ensure the screw doesn't turn. It sounds complicated when written down. Watch the video, you'll see how easy it really is. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Good advice as always mate
Thanks mate, adjusting the clutch sounds complicated when written down, but seeing it done shows how quick & easy it actually is. Cheers!
Useful! Thank you. 👍
Thanks Stefan
Reminds me of my CRF50. The previous owners kid dropped it in a creek and it wouldn’t turn over after. They took it to a shop to be repaired and were told that it probably had to come apart to be fixed. The owner left it there and forgot about it. The shop owner gave it to me, I adjusted the clutch and it’s been fine since.
Good one Lee, a free bike easily fixed! Thanks.
Hey great video Freeranger, I am doing mine today thanks.
Thanks Robert.
Good information. Interesting to see the side stand is on the right side of the bike. In the US. the side stand is on the bike left side. Thank you for you video.
These ex Aussie postal service bikes have two side stands, one on the left & one on the right. Thanks for watching & commenting.
Hey great video my friend thanks for sharing it keep the rubber side down
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Very helpful
Thanks Kevin, glad you found it useful.
Great vid m8 .
Thanks Andy!
Maybe an old spare socket with a handle welded on for that nut so you can stick the screwdriver right thru the middle. I’m sure someone has already made one.
That's a good idea, should work well. Thanks.
Is it the same method for CT90?
Yes, exactly the same
Well if you’re dumb like me you just decide to tear apart the entire engine when the gears aren’t shifting easy. Wish I knew it’s adjustable.
Don't be too hard on yourself, we never stop learning. Recently I did a lot of work on a CT only to find the problem was water in the fuel from a service station...
