They did a split screen comparison between a shanty town road somewhere in Africa and a street in Oakland. My jaw was on the floor - they looked identical. All those people living in struggle - I wish I could wave a magic wand and cure the situation but what I saw looks like a nearly insurmountable situation. It would take YEARS to build them all cheap housing. That would need massive amounts of land and money. Ugh, the whole thing saddened me because I used to stay with friends in the Bay Area for months at a time 30 years ago and it was my favorite place in North America. Now I don't linger in town too long when en route to visit my brother in Napa. All this said there's still a pretty big twinge of jealousy when you say you're in the Bay Area. You ARE lucky. That's why she usually offsets it with her well styled hair (which doesn't look so good in this video tbh), eye-catching outfits that are out of place and wild mannerisms and hair tousling to draw attention to herself.
