Just an update on my previous comment. Warranty did cover the damage to my SR92 flashlight. They couldn't repair the damage to it so they ended up sending me a new one. I'm very happy with the result. By the way, you make excellent review videos. You go into great detail and explain things in a clear and eloquent manner. Great job!!!
I have had this flashlight for a while now (A few months) and been working well to work with. Something that amazed me was that how it shined though thick fire smoke. Yesterday a naighbors appartment was set on fire (Just the kitchen). Cant write the whole story here but in the end, a fire extinguisher that I bought a few weeks ago probably saved the whole appartment building. Also the flashlight was so bright that I could see though the smoke and help the ppl in that appartment. SR92 rocks!
@OnBakePlatinum because everyone knows what they're like, so comparing to them is more useful than comparing to something that nobody has never heard about.
Oh a idea for the holster question. Maglite had a simple belt attachment system, a leather look that goes around the belt and a large ring on that. The light goes thru the ring and hangs there. Worked great. These larger lights might work in a holster like that. Id like one for my Fenix TK70. The ring might have to be larger that the maglite version is.
Excellent review ! It's quite a light the spill is really nice and I was wondering if each of the LED's are angled differently towards the center of the reflector to give the lighting pattern it does. The SR 90 LED is a straight 90 degrees. The SR 92 looks to be tilting 15 degrees or so towards the middle of the big reflector. I believe your new camera really shows up in detail this light rather well. Thanks again for a great video and photography.
Another great review of an awesome looking light. Did you use the same camera and settings that you had when you reviewed the M3C4 XM-L ? The SR92 looked a heck of a lot brighter, but the maglight looked a bit brighter too (than in the M3C4 review).
Damn I now want one.. not because I do any camping but if and when the chance to go camping occurs or for any emergency use.. I would definitely want this in my emergency kit.
I purchased this light a few days ago from a shop in Australia. I was so happy with it until it rolled off a table in my shed which is no more than 3 feet high onto a smooth concrete floor. I picked it up and saw it had a few superficial scratches on it, which was no big deal. Then I turned it on and the high setting was no longer working, the low setting still works. Very disappointed from a solid and expensive torch like this. Don't know if warranty will cover it.
Hi goingprepared, I love watching your video about flashlights and I would like to ask you a question about them: I am wondering if it exists a led flashlight rechargeable manually using a sort of dynamo. I was thinking about speleology and checking of caves for a long period, low batteries without any possibility to recharge them using a power source could limitate the trip. A big HELLO from Italy
@goingprepared Err. how throw is affected by physical size o.O Also, according to CPF, it seems to have same throw, and a bit better flood at same time. :3
I'm actually kinda wondering just how powerful a helicopter spot light is...I'm watching true lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger hahah and that part cake up with the helicopter and the spot light...it honestly looks like an extremely high wattage HID..but I'm not intirely sure I couldn't see it being a gas bulb or hologen..looks like an electronic arc cause it's blue....hmmmmm

Thanks for not wasting too much time on the accessoires coming with the torch...

I think Olight SR 92 is the most powerfull flashlight of 2011
Excellent comparison. Thanks. Very informative. I like the SR90's color the best.

Thanks for making these comparisons.

A big HELLO from Italy
Nice light!
Thanks for displaying it!
P.S. did Batman come? :)
Geez.....those lights are badass
Holy shit man, I'm so putting two of these on top of my car connected to a relay so it can be my high-beam!

SR92 for covering the whole area.
SR90 for the Big Beam.
The SR92 light does not fit the maglite holster. Tryed that (Got it from work for the maglite).
Would love to see a video of SR92 vs TK70 :)
Wow the 92 seemingly wins in my opinion just based on color rendition. Much better than the sst.
@goingprepared How about the Nitecore TM11?
It's amazing!!
The 90 is amazing. It's going to catch those trees on fire.
whats the average battery life ? how many hours of use with a full battery ?
which is the brightest lantern in the world? The FlashTorch?

why there are 3 led's, why not a single big one ?

Warning could cause seizures!! wow that strobe was something!
