Yeah. I ended up going with the P30 myself. Most of the differences between the two I don't care about. IR blaster, I've had phones with them, and tbh it wasn't much more than something to wow non tech savvy people. Wireless charging, don't care. Might be a big deal for people used to it, but I've never had a device with it, so I won't miss anything. The whole magnetic levitation in screen ear piece thing, just... whatever, don't care about it. Earpiece on the P30 sounds good. I'm not sure I'd even trust that tech as I don't like to have the phone pressed RIGHT against my ear all the time. The IP rating, yeeeeah, I really do wish that was a little higher, and I've actually had one of my kids chuck a pervious device in a pool on me, but it's pretty much the only downside I care about and the only thing that's really a compromise for me. The P30 has more pros than cons for me. I like the form factor and size more, slightly better screen, significantly cheaper price, and headphone jack.

This is my phone which I bought on 2019. I've been thinking to change my phone since last year but this one is just one of the best smartphones with HEADPHONE JACK. That's why I haven't dumped it yet HAHAHA. I am planning to purchase s10 5g which also has a headphone jack, but I found out the features I care about are almost the same level with p30. This p30 has never make me angry. Everything is just fast and for sure still relevant for me in 2021
Been using my P10 for 1.5 years. Honestly best camera app ever. Light trail and star shots. P30 hands down wins the market. Just a shame Apple & Samsung have the majority of their brand name going for it.
My opinion: - Not a fan of EMUI personally, but most of this can be "fixed" with some settings, some apps and a different launcher. - Battery life is goooood. Really. I think this would bring me through an entire day basicly no matter what happens. On a normal day I end up with 60-70% battery left when I go to bed. Normal day is: Watching vids/browsing/chatting for about 2-3 hours (I'd guess), being connected to pc (wireless) for whatsapp web for about 6-8 hours (during work), AOD... - Camera is awesome for pictures, however I expected better videos. They seem extremely noisy in lower light conditions. - Fingerprint in display is not to my liking and doesnt feel really reliable. I'd rather have it on the back or the power button. - I feel the display should be a little big brighter. Sometimes in bright sunlight I have trouble with the display. - Zoom for videofootage seems bad?

Still using this 2years old Phone for gaming. Idk but after the recent updates the animation and everything feels so smooth that you will not think it's only a 60hz...other 60hz is not as smooth this one. I think I can live with this until 2023. Hey, I don't use this for still shots I'm using Pixel 4.
after 4 years using it, my phone totally dead. even changing mobo still not able to fix it. so im planning to buy a new phone now. so far p30 very good to use. Battery super charge. Gaming COD 3-4 hours max. Camera still can capture moon, zooming, macro and portrait all good. Audio jack, speaker, BLTH, wifi all good. CONS : software/android is pretty amusing and not comfortable (you know google banned huawei right). back cover is easily broke/cracked but mine got cracked last year November (i really taking a good care of it cuz it just a small crack)

Kind of unsure about the OIS. Some sources say the main camera has it, some say it doesn't. I own the phone, but I haven't really done much video taking with it. I will say though, that the night mode is pretty amazing. It can take pictures of clouds in the sky in the middle of the night that I can't even see. It's amazing how much colour it can pick up from pitch black conditions.
I find it confusing that your review sounds great for the camera but real life reviews complain about the camera more than anything. They say its good for outside but inside pix are terrible. Which is right.? You also didnt mention 5g. Im reading it wont recognize 5g wifi. Is this true?
@@demon6937 Can confirm it does indeed come with a screen protector. I'm not sure if it's gorilla glass or not, but a durability test of the P30 Pro showed it's got tempered glass comparable to other current devices.
I got this a few days ago. I really like it, just wish huawei wouldn't cheap out on the cameras and gave us at least OIS in the main sensor. Now I'm wondering if I can hack it in somehow using a p30 pro replacement sensor. 🤔

I need your opinion guys !! Now I own a galaxy s8+ , it started showing some screen burn issues. Should I sell it to someone who sells/repairs brand new/used phones and add the difference of prices and get a P30 ? Or should I wait for next year and buy an S10 ? I cant decide between this or the Honor 10. I like that the P30 is a bit smaller but from what Ive seen on reviews the Honor 10 actually makes slightly better pictures with more vibrant colors.
P30 is faster smoother 20% more and still photo looks good from what I see in the google images but Honor 10 looks has the avantage to win photography still. It up to you, note you that processor is the one that make your picture come out better.
7:56 holy shit look at how laggy the footage is, the cars are just kindoff jumping instead of going smooth. Sad to see the awful video quality is also a problem on the non pro

@@soethuyanaing1094 There is no IR blaster on the P30, and it's not a notification LED, because it doesn't have that either. I'm pretty sure it's the ambient light sensor that's showing up on the camera because it can record light waves our eyes don't normally see. It's not uncommon for it to happen on these videos.
Fingerprint sensor on P30 sucks. Every now and then it wont recognize fingerprint three times in a row then I need to use code unlock. Softkey back and home button sometimes don't respond up to five attempts. Very stupid flaws.

That's a great feature, I remember having it on my s5 and being able to use it with gloves or even using a pencil as a stylus.

- Fingerprint in display is not to my liking and doesnt feel really reliable. I'd rather have it on the back or the power button.
- I feel the display should be a little big brighter. Sometimes in bright sunlight I have trouble with the display.
- Zoom for videofootage seems bad?

Still using this 2years old Phone for gaming. Idk but after the recent updates the animation and everything feels so smooth that you will not think it's only a 60hz...other 60hz is not as smooth this one. I think I can live with this until 2023. Hey, I don't use this for still shots I'm using Pixel 4.

after 4 years using it, my phone totally dead. even changing mobo still not able to fix it. so im planning to buy a new phone now. so far p30 very good to use. Battery super charge. Gaming COD 3-4 hours max. Camera still can capture moon, zooming, macro and portrait all good. Audio jack, speaker, BLTH, wifi all good. CONS : software/android is pretty amusing and not comfortable (you know google banned huawei right). back cover is easily broke/cracked but mine got cracked last year November (i really taking a good care of it cuz it just a small crack)
still use this phone for almost 3 years. this is a real flagship killer. It was really hard to find a phone that is as good as this. I bought an iphone 11 thou because my p30 stoarge is almost full but honestly, [30 is still better than iphone 11 to my surprise. NOw, im planning to sell my iphone11 because it was a disappointment in comparison to my old p30.

i like huawei...i had a p8 lite 3 yrs ago...and it is still working...submerged twice in a portable pool...but since it was only 16gb rom...i bought redmi note 9 pro...since huawei doesnt have google play services anymore...but im looking for huawei p30 soon...im not comfortable with redmi...for me it is too heavy to hold, i think redmi are good for people who does online gaming most of the time

Kind of unsure about the OIS. Some sources say the main camera has it, some say it doesn't. I own the phone, but I haven't really done much video taking with it. I will say though, that the night mode is pretty amazing. It can take pictures of clouds in the sky in the middle of the night that I can't even see. It's amazing how much colour it can pick up from pitch black conditions.
I'm getting one today and I'm looking forward to it so much! Huawei/Honor is the best for me 😊🙌

@@demon6937 Can confirm it does indeed come with a screen protector. I'm not sure if it's gorilla glass or not, but a durability test of the P30 Pro showed it's got tempered glass comparable to other current devices.

Pawel Olak pixel with be better with just taking normal pics and video but the Huawei is more versatile with a telephoto and ultra wide
And also speed performance huawie is better than pixel 3

I suggest you get P30 or even better P30 Pro for camera sake. Leica camera on P30 and newer P40 series is really outstanding!

as a oneplus 3T owner im fine with upgrading to this phone,if the vodafone sale will be still on.The 1+had a different menu as well which i was fine with,so going again to a different wont be such a problem,like many say about the ui,sure things will be different but yeah,almsot every phone has a diff ui now.I was thinking about the s10e but as im not a big samsung fan,i had a samsung phone before(dont remember the name,but hated it),and my father still has one now (s7) which i dont like tbh.The p30 is bigger which i dont like,but cheaper then the s10e,and i dont care about the water res.wireless charging and shit like this,since i never wanted to use them anyway.Its fast (will se for how long when i get one),has good camera,i guess a big battery so yeah for me its an ok upgrade,since it doesnt have those useless stuff what i wrote before.basically it has the necessary features for me.My 1+ doesnt have stabilization in 4k and was still able to make good videos,so i dont get it why people are crying over the smallest stuff,when its clearly they own fault.If you want an action camera/phone then good luck for you...I aint rich,not even from a rich country,so im going to use this as well for at least 3 years.One more thing.I dont care if the new android update is late as long as the phone works.never had an issue with it,so an another ? why many people cry.If it would fix something on the phone,then sure,but if not then whats the point to get an expensive phone,to recieve nothing,but you can proudly say i have the newest android version.Who the f**** cares honesty,just be happy with your phone and thats it

I cant decide between this or the Honor 10. I like that the P30 is a bit smaller but from what Ive seen on reviews the Honor 10 actually makes slightly better pictures with more vibrant colors.
P30 is faster smoother 20% more and still photo looks good from what I see in the google images but Honor 10 looks has the avantage to win photography still.
It up to you, note you that processor is the one that make your picture come out better.

@@soethuyanaing1094 There is no IR blaster on the P30, and it's not a notification LED, because it doesn't have that either. I'm pretty sure it's the ambient light sensor that's showing up on the camera because it can record light waves our eyes don't normally see. It's not uncommon for it to happen on these videos.

Huawei makes good phones with frequent software updates. I own a p10
Fingerprint sensor on P30 sucks. Every now and then it wont recognize fingerprint three times in a row then I need to use code unlock. Softkey back and home button sometimes don't respond up to five attempts. Very stupid flaws.
